I need to remember to get a new SSD for wilds and other stuff. NGL I'm hating the era of new games hitting +100 GB. Regardless, I'm glad that MH has blown up and no longer niche

It's gonna be gas. Can't wait to see what sort nonsense you can pull of in focus mode with the funlance and hunting horn. Also, looking forward to new monsters to skin and wear as hats.

Just some rando. I'm 20+ so no worries about rping with a kid.
Well the biggest thing you need to do is to answer the questions of: What do you want out of the system? With that answered you get focus which helps in the process of making it. Also don't forget to work out your base math for stuff before you start adding stuff to it like crits.
Secondly it seems like you're doing a D&D type setting which is cool and all. But my question is what does it offer or do differently from not only D&D but countless other derivatives
Doesn't this technically happen given enough time? The setting, characters, and focus will change as people collectively refine, tweak, or change interests in stuff in the game which affects the above
At last J.C. found himself against his greatest nemesis in the game. That fucking Hyllian Loach that had bested him in his childhood. Today would be the day he finally caught that fish!. Dumping the twenty rupees to the shopkeep he got the rod and entered the pond as the cool water reached his calves. Casting his line out into the deeper zone he waited until her felt the tug on the line and the generic red and white bobber dip before reeling it in. The fish looked big enough to trigger the appearance of the sinker line but he wouldn't know until he brought it back and lo and behold it was more than enough and he got a gold scale which was probably useless given he could hold his breath longer than 10 seconds.
He then ran back into the pond and began circling around the area until he found that damned lure. It then occurred to him that part of what the lure effective was the camera perspective change which allowed for easy viewing of the pond bottom for best positioning which was something that wouldn't happen. Instead he dipped his head into the water so he could see the various hiding places before baiting the waters with some cheetos. Standing on the half submerged log he cast the new lure and let himself ruminate on deep thoughts such as: Why hasn't the owner noticed him splashing about in the pond, who's lure was it an how the hell did it get lost, and most importantly just what the hell lay beyond the chest high rock wall and the trees atop it.
Ehh just cuz you had ten years worth of writing stuff doesn't make you good if you're not actively seeking criticism and improving yourself. It's why you can have artists who despite having been drawing for the longest of time but still produce crappy drawings because they don't bother to improve and evolve.
