I need to remember to get a new SSD for wilds and other stuff. NGL I'm hating the era of new games hitting +100 GB. Regardless, I'm glad that MH has blown up and no longer niche

It's gonna be gas. Can't wait to see what sort nonsense you can pull of in focus mode with the funlance and hunting horn. Also, looking forward to new monsters to skin and wear as hats.

Welcome aboard.

One more person should suffice.

Also I guess I'll discuss the gimmick here too
Well I hope you're not expecting it to be discworld-esque as that is a book series I haven't touched.

But regardless welcome aboard

Hmm thinking of adding a certain type of gimmick to this, but it might end up scaring you guys away.
So you know how like since there's been a trend of these "World Travel" type LNs, mangas, and animes that are usually adaptations? You know where the protag lands into some world with a bunch of gamey mechanics and usually has some gimmick or superior knowledge that he uses to get really good over the rest of everyone or something along the lines of that?

Well I decided to beat them to the punch by combining these very gamey fantasy settings with a school setting and mixing some parodic humor in it. As the title indicates it's a school for adventurers.

You're all students from various backgrounds trying to get official and make it out there as a full fledged adventurer.

Setting details

The world is obviously a fantasy world littered with monsters, dungeons, and wild magic. Ordinary people simply can't cope with such hazards and it is only with the help of brave women & men simply known as Crawlers that things are kept from being too hectic. These people have something in them, a certain tangible essence that is known in its abbreviated form as "PC". Non-PC essence people are simply known as NPCS, who are most numerous compared to the PCs.

However whether either driven by a noble drive to help others or perhaps a thirst for fame, excitement, and or riches potential Crawlers rise from the everyday masses. Their spirits maybe ready for adventuring but they are inexperienced which can lead to disastrous results. This is where is where the crawler academies come in.

These academies are open to all who manage to pass the entrance exam teach all prospective Crawlers the fundamentals of adventuring such as the archetype each person fits into and how effectively cultivate those abilities with other preexisting skills and basically how to murderhobo. These academies also function as a sort adventurers guild as well with novices being sent on quests that matches their skill level until they proper adventures who then either continue working for this branch or head elsewhere.

Anyway you'll be novices in a party trying to become official crawlers in a small newly established town. This realistically it's a nice tutorial zone. It's not too tamed which means you'll actually have things to do and practice on but it's not some monster teeming hellhole.

Now can I get any takers?

Consider my next post to be tucked in then.
Is this going to ever start?

Sure why not
How many posts until the next plot event?
"Yeah and so what? Seahorses aren't the most adept of swimmers preferring shallow waters with kelp so all that power you keep talking about means not a whole lot. But sure I'll race you. He then walked away to get his brown nondescript horse. The horse had some stuff packed around the saddle which the man proceeded to fiddle with. After a series of intonations and gestures the horse was ready and positioned for this race. Hyping up the fishgirl he counted down, "Ready! 1,2,3 GO!" He patted his horse as a travois fell to the ground which he immediately plopped down onto as his horse began to move at a jaunty gait. Rez just closed his eyes and relaxed as he listened to sounds of the horses hooves striking the ground almost rhythmically mixed with the sound of the frame's poles dragging on the ground.
"Seahorsepower? That's not even a thing" He thought to himself. Still he decided to have some fun with this nonstandard or rather nonexistent measurement. "Three hundred seahorses eh? That's no faster than a leisurely walk, you insult my noble stead with such glacial speed. Still I'll give you credit for the the things you say it does, plus those cup holders are pretty sweet.

He ran his hands along the side of the odd floating vehicle feeling the various textures made from fusing fragments of relics and native materials. Although it's craftsmanship might be a tad suspect he found it hard to hide his interest, after all it was made of some technological source unknown to humans or at the very extremely rare. Oh how'd he like to get his hands on some of the treasures for his own means! "So what are you doing so far from the ocean? Ain't no sea except for a couple of thousand leagues down south which at the speed of your machine goes; you might as well become a fully terrestrial creature."
