"Then let us be lost!"

He couldn't afford more than a few hours, and would probably be called away within the first. Never mind, life could wait, and they could sit among the flowers. Caeling went to the wall, and plucked an orange, which he tossed to Juliet.

He got one for himself, sat on a bench, and bit into it, lazing in the beauty of the garden.

It had been built generations earlier, but only in the previous few decades had it thrived. Cael's father had planted the bushes, and organised the pond and fruit trees in the early period of Rowan's youth. It was to be a going away gift to the queen, as his father was unable to be present as often as he would like.

"I might just have to accept that offer."

Missy blew a kiss to Nyteshaed. Shelly dug into her pancakes even stronger than before.

"Should I return the favor?"

"My, thanks, sweet thing!"

The other girl wasn't dressed too bad, either. Not up to leaving the building, but still quite nice.

"Why, yes! Oh, and a bath would be nice. You should have one. Tonight we just work on surveillance."

He went to the desk, and plugged in a headphone to the radio, which had a panel in the back. He flicked a switch, and began to listen, as he waited for the suitcase. This was possibly his least favorite part of the job, working on live surveillance, but it was necessary. As he listened, he played with a piece of string. He liked pieces of string, and they were good practice platforms for ropework.
"Wearing a shirt to the breakfast table, Nyteshaed? I liked your old style better."

Missy gave an exaggerated pout, before swallowing her last strip of bacon that had just been dropped into her mouth. She leant back, and Shelly started on her own breakfast, her neat, slicked back hair being tousled by Missy.

"My lady, I do believe I have some time to spare. Would you like to see the gardens?"

The gardens were lovely, with high rosebushes in red, pink, and white. Clusters of crocus and bushes of bluebells sat at their feet. Fruit trees draped with vines lined the walls. Rows of flowers sprung up just in front, and the grass was lush. 'Streams' of still water intersected the garden. A large pond in the centre was filled with lilies, and a single boat sat at the edge. Soft grass covered the ground, crisscrossed with smooth pathways of irregular cobblestone. They crossed the streams at small wooden bridges. There was only sparse furnishing: only a few benches were present at the side of the pathways.

It would be a pleasant diversion from the unpleasant business of earlier. Growing up, he hadn't much appreciated the gardens. Now, though, it was among his favourite places in the castle grounds. He had responsibilities, though, and not much time for the pleasures of noble life.

I could draw a map of the kingdom of Thirmos, if that is OK?
I think it's definitely because potential roleplayers come from worldwide, and if you set a game anywhere else (that really exists), you'll find that one player (you, probably) will know the place intimately, and everyone else will have less of a clue than they would about NYC or SF.

TL;DR: It's better to have everyone having the same misconceptions about a place than no-one having an idea at all.
I just hate the emphasis on quantity that I sense here and there. I could probably post in advanced, given the rules of advanced say "At least two paragraphs, probably more" (paraphrasing), and I can match that, but I notice that even in free, they regularly make posts longer than two paragraphs. I just don't like large quantities of low quality writing.
