Cardin crossed his arms. "So, are you gonna make us, Mutt?" he asked. The confrontation was getting attention from other students. Smarter individuals were making themselves scarce.

"I'll ask you kindly to leave us be," Amarok growled. "I'll give you to the count of five. One... two..." His arm shifted and clanked into a sword. "FIVE!"

And with that, the second lunchroom brawl of the year began.
