Remember that if you ever feel like you're terrible at naming things, just know that my friends dragged me into playing a dark and serious MMO where a boss was named "Deathkill."

Actually, think of this RP as Adventure Time.

Seriously. One hand you got these playful adventures, other hand... well, let's just say it gets dark from there.

Remember that one time Jake fell asleep and his tail went on an adventure exploring the dilemma of upholding your artistic integrity versus lowering yourself to appeal to the lowest common denominator? Yeah, I'd say that's an apt comparison.

Lugia has a penchant for these things. I especially find that annoying.

There's not a lot of darkness which also bugs me, considering we're not 13 year-olds anymore. At least I ain't, and I'm starting to feel as if there's too much comedy in a world supposed to be realistic.

In fact, you have Lugia's posts and my posts. There's a lot of contrast when it comes to mood between them.

"♪Anything you can do, I can do better!♪"

Old songs aside though, yeah, it's something I don't think anyone would miss. I've been replaying Explorers of Sky recently, and I think the whole face-tent thing was a way of making all the essential shops and such more easily identifiable and make up for the inefficient way it was laid out (the first shops you'll find when leaving the guild are the dojo, move-linking shop, and egg nursery, while the much more practical item/wares shops, storage, and item appraisal areas are a whole screen away from the previous three). It's kind of stupid when you apply it to any other medium, though.

I never really care too much about the tone of RPs like these as long as they match up with the tone of the source material, to be honest. Granted, Explorers of Whatever got hit by Cerebus Syndrome with the force of a large train halfway through, and it'd be nice to see a little of that here, but I don't really have a problem with comedy in a world inhabited by sentient garbage bags.

On an separate, public address: Is there some kind of explanation or basic idea for the layout of the faction building? I've been blindly groping through a house of mirrors so far since I didn't want to establish something in case it existed already :P

As far as I can gather from the OP, it seems to a large tower, in contrast with the other guild which is mostly underground. I'd try and envision how the floors would be laid out, but this is a world where all the buildings look like the faces of their owners, so how well logic would apply to the layout is anyone's guess.
Well, thanks for the recommendation, I think that season finale in particular was the most Dragon Ball Z thing I've seen since Zone of the Enders Two-

Oh.

I knew there was a reason I felt slightly off-kilter when I saw that timeskip... I'd been thinking a lot about why I left that other PMD RP after I quit (which was what, almost a year ago?), and went over it again before I joined this one. At first I thought it was because I didn't post that often, and if you didn't post within two hours of the last person, no one would dare to waste their time with you. But now that I'm posting around the same rate as everyone else, I don't think that's the case.

I think the real issue is how things stagnate after a certain distance from the starting line: Everyone tends to form up into groups, and then become very oblivious to anyone who isn't in their specific groups. It's like no one bothers to skim through any one else's posts, and it leads to situations like this where people obviously have further plans and even try to open up interaction with other groups, but since one or two of the groups has decided to race to the beds in a way that borders on breaking character, the GM needs to pull a timeskip so no one is left trapped in those very same beds. Like it's already been said, I think it's a pacing problem mixed in with a lack of interaction.

I know I have a penchant for pissing people off to the point where I manage to do it even when I'm not trying to, so I'd like to make it clear that I don't think this is really a malicious or even intentional phenomenon. I think this should still be brought up, though, as it's far from conducive to a jolly ol' roleplaying experience.

Ok then. It's still goin', pretty good. Though, you NEED to watch season 5.

They have some fucked up shit in there, man. It's like against communism and showcasing the five stages of grief ;)

Oh, and Twilight gets her own castle. And Equestria Girls 2 is better than 1.

...don't mind me motherfuckers, I'm gonna make a post.

That sounds pretty amazing, actually. Now that I've finished watching Turnabout Storm I can probably start catching up right away.
Oh please, he's not THAT oppressive.

I wouldn't be his friend anymore if that was the case.

I'm also quite curious why you'd ask about the show.

Well, in that case, have things gotten any better since the season 3 finale?

I'm asking because I haven't watched it since then, actually...
Shut up lavul.

Let me watch mlp, play games and dick around.

Gotta go fast post in morning.

No.

Sure. I'd ask about the current state and quality of the show, but I'm not sure how Lugia would react to such a discussion on this thread.
It's all a web, I tell you. A web of distractions and lethargy! *proceeds to grumble endlessly about the poor state of society today*
I'm still here, just lurking :P. School work is always a factor but RPing doesn't take too much time from my day (he said, lying to himself). Well at least checking in on the forums doesn't take up too much of my time.

I'm in the same boat as lavulman; not sure what to post. Everyone seems to be in one place, so now might be a good time for crazy plot shit?

If that's not the case I'll try to figure out a post when I get around to it. Don't know when that'll be though; there's always a mental barrier between knowing I have time to procrastinate and knowing I can't commit time to procrastination (i.e. writing a post).

Oh, no, it's not that, I'm just waiting for someone to post something. No double-posting and all that.

Anyways, I'm sorry to report, but I'm moving out today. The new place won't have internet until sometime next week, so my posting will be spotty at best until I get that settled.

Well, I hope the new place ends up better than the old one. Make sure to remember all those different times while you're gone. Like, at least one every day.
I'm just waiting for something to happen in general, actually. Where did everyone go? Maybe they're trying to remember the day we all met.
