Dorkle Stein was working at the library today. He was feeling rather bored. There weren't a lot of readers in today and not much for him to do except sit on the counter and wait. He thought about all the other things that he could be doing instead of wasting his time and brain power here. He could be working on new inventions for a certain monster that he shouldn't tell anyone about. He could be out researching the wildlife in the ecosystem nearby his home. He could even be discovering a strange new chemical by now! Anything would be more exciting than sitting in the library.

He glanced over towards his mother who was rearranging the books in the nonfiction section. His eyes widened and his bottom lips quivered. He kept that face until his mother finally turned in his direction, shook her head and waved him off. She had no sympathy for him. She didn't like how he was doing all those crazy experiments. Why couldn't he just be happy working in the library like his parents? It was a safe, cozy job and someone had to take care of the books.

Dorkle sighed. He was counting the minutes until his freedom.
Nathan's class ended and unsurprisingly he got shot down by the girl in his stats class. On the upside, he finally did figure out her name. It was Lauren. And she didn't like being called "sweet cheeks". Or 'baby". Or "cute pie".

He was lounging around at home, thinking up of other girls in his other classes that he can ask out. He also had to keep track of who had already rejected him. It was a lot of work, truly.

Suddenly his phone went off, interrupting his thoughts. He checked his texts and was surprised to see it was from James. Even more surprisingly, he was free to hang out tonight. Well forget anything he was going to do tonight! He was going to teach James to have fun! And he only needed one night to do it. Though he was still curious about what happened to the diner. It rarely just closed like that. He'll have to ask James when they hang out.

But first he needed to text him back."Closed Diner? What is this? Twilight Zone? You're free today? What? Who are you and what have you done to James? JK. Text me when and where and I'll be there. XOXO"

He decided to take another shower while he waited for James to reply back. Never know who you might meet out there. Gotta look your best all of the time, right? He was pretty excited to be hanging out with his best friend. When was the last time they did this? It felt like forever.

"I'm Wesley Abbott. I, uh, do have the White Rabbit here..." he returned while shifting awkwardly. Raven seemed nice enough but she still was kind of strange. Not that he wasn't strange either since he did have a weird spirit in him as well. Also he felt awkward being called "cute" by an older woman.,

"I have to pick up my little brother from school, so do you mind if we walk and talk?" he asked, trying not to be rude.

"Oh this is so great! Now we just have to find the Mad Hatter and the twins. Then we find Alice, protect her from the Queen, and we can all go home to Wonderland," the White Rabbit said excitedly.

Wesley led Raven to his little brother's elementary school. "Wait here please," he said as he entered the school grounds.

He walked into his little brother's classroom where all the kids whose parents couldn't pick them up right away stayed. His face fell slightly at the sight of his little brother being the last one in the room, alone with only the teacher. "Sorry, I'm late, Mason."

Mason was, however, excited to see his older brother. "Wes!!! Let's go home! I'm hungry!" the boy exclaimed. Mason rushed over to his brother's side and took his hand.

"Haha, okay. I'll make you a sandwich when we get home," Wesley chuckled.

Together they went back to where Wes had left Raven. [color=gray]"Uh... Mason this is Raven, don't worry she's nice I think," Wesley said.

"Nice to meet you, Raven! Heh. Your name is a bird, that's so cool!" Mason smiled.

"Last night was strange, at least, stranger than usual," Terry thought to herself as she walked to school. She had never seen Grimbold do anything like it and wondered why they all had to be there to watch. He said that they were "learning" something, but he didn't even bother to explain what that something was. It had to be some sort of ritual, that much was obvious, but the purpose of the ritual remained unclear.

Teryn had walked all the way to school only to find out that her teacher had cancelled class. She was somewhat annoyed that she woke up early just to attend this morning class, but at the same time, she enjoyed having the day off. "Hm... so what do I do now?" she wondered as she sat on the bench outside her locked classroom. "Ah... I know."

She got up, grabbed her stuff, then made her way to the infamous Castle Street Cafe. Students loved to come here to drink coffee, study, and hang out. But unlike them, she had a different reason for going though: She was going to ask for a certain bat boy's help.

She didn't like asking for help, that was for sure. But it was kind of hard to keep a person indoors all day with only breezes. Daniel had the powers to give people headaches, which combined with her breezes might be able to keep her target inside. She thought about turning back and maybe going to the library instead to work on her report. She didn't want to owe anybody anything. But soon enough she was already outside the door of the cafe.

Terry internally groaned as she saw that there was already a line at the cafe. She fidgeted with her bag, made sure to not make eye contact with any of the other customers, and shuffled up the line whenever it was possible. A few stiff moments later, she found herself in front of the line at last. "I'd like a small chai latte please," she said to the man taking her order. She paid what she felt was overpriced for a small cup of latte, but that was capitalism. "Teryn," she answered when he asked for her name.

While she waited for her drink to be ready, she scanned the room for Daniel, only to find him by the display cases. "Good morning, Daniel," she approached the young man, who might have been too busy working to have noticed her right away. "When is your break?"

After what felt like forever, Wesley was done with school for the day. He did not waste any time getting off campus and was soon on his way to his little brother's school to pick him up. He was speed-walking because his brother has already been done with school for half an hour and was probably waiting for him. Luckily there was an after school day care that could watch over him until Wesley arrives. As he was walking, he noticed a trail of smoke in a shape of a bunny was following him.

"What's that, White?" Wes asked, feeling uncomfortable. The weirdness just never seemed to end.

"It's smoke... It must be Caterpillar! We have to go find him and his vessel!"the White Rabbit answered excitedly. "With the help of the Caterpillar, it would be a lot easier to find Alice. He could use his powers to track her down!"

"...but I need to pick up Mason. He's waiting for me," argued Wes.

"It'll only take a moment!" the White rabbit insisted.

Wesley sighed and gave it some thought. His brother would be safe in the day care and ten minutes wouldn't make that much of a difference... "Fine," he said, caving in.

He turned back and started retracing his steps until he came face to face with an interesting looking woman. She seemed to be following the trail of smoke that was in turn following him.

"Uh... hello..." he said awkwardly. "Do you happen to have a Caterpillar spirit inside of you?"

What a strange thing to ask a person. He really hoped that she was the right person to ask or else it would have been really embarrassing.

I was going to have Terry drop by the cafe, is that cool?
