Risa Watanabe

Risa was so excited to be starting the new school year at a new school. Sure she might miss a lot of her friends back home, but she was looking forward to making a lot of new ones. She pulled out her phone and took a selfie of herself on the boat. She sent it to her close friends at home so they would know what she was up to. She promised them that she would keep in touch with them and she intended on keeping that promise. She was still deciding on what filter to use when a certain orange butterfly sneaked up behind her.

"What are you doing? That is such a ridiculous photo of you. Are you really sending that to your friends?" a stern voice nagged.

Risa stuck out her tongue. "It's the new dog feature thing on snapchat... Everyone is doing it," she whined back.

"That doesn't mean that you should resort to something so childish," the butterfly returned.

She ignored her companion and sent the photo anyway with the caption, "OMG I'M ALMOST THERE GUYS!" She also made sure to add it to her story. When they have finally arrived, there was a strange woman who was giving them a speech. She was weird, but Risa found her nice enough. "She is trying her best at least," the cheerful girl thought to herself. She along with the rest of the students were lead into the lobby to check out their new dorm assignments and other important information. Afterwards she grabbed her stuff and made her way to the dorms as quickly as she could. Maybe her roommate was already there and she couldn't wait to meet her! They could become best friends forever and do everything together! That would be so much fun!

"Do you even know where you're going, Risa?" Kyoya asked. "Perhaps we should ask for directions."

"You are no fun. We are in room E77. And I have a map so we won't get lost," she said confidently. She held up the map given to her by the school for emphasis. "We'll be fine."

The butterfly had now shifted into its tiger form and took a better look at the map Risa was holding. He did something that was in between a sigh and a roar. "You're holding the map upside down, Risa."

Risa's face turned slightly red with embarrassment. She quickly turned the map over so it was facing the right way. "I knew that! Let's go!" She hurried towards the dorm buildings only to find that she was at the Western dorm building. "It's alright, Kyoya," she said, still smiling. "This just means we're on the west side... so we just have to go to the exact opposite direction that we are in right now~!"

Kyoya sighed once more. This girl was trouble...
Ooohhh it's back. Thinking about joining again ^^
I'll try to post as soon as possible... I've been procrastinating on school work so it's biting me in the butt D:

Name:
Rosaleen Crowley

Age:
25

Gender:
Female

Species:
Witch

Rank:
Second in Command

Personality:
In contrast to her first in command, Rosa appears to be a much colder individual. She is sharp-tongued and sarcastic. She says what is on her mind and doesn't seem to have a filter. She is also strict and has high expectations of other people and if they don't meet her expectations, they should prepare for some lashing out. She is a hardworking, responsible person who does her best to complete any task given to her to the best of her abilities and with efficiency. People are often scared of her because of her personality and her naturally angry-looking face. However, that doesn't mean she is a mean person. She is actually quite nice when people get to know her and has a soft spot for all living things. She is secretly protective and maternal, though that side of her isn't quite obvious to most people.

Appearance:

Rosa is not very tall, standing only at 5"2 but she often wears boots with high heels to make herself seem taller.
She dyes her hair often but at the moment it's black with green streaks.

Equipment/weapons:
Rosa always has some potions on her in case she needs to help heal someone. She also carries a charm that is supposed to "ward off evil". It was given to her by her grandmother so she doesn't exactly know if it works but hopefully it does.

History:
Rosa never had the chance to meet her father because he was slain before she was born. She was raised by her mother and her grandmother who both were witches as well. They taught her everything she knew about magic and potions. It was a peaceful existence and when she was not at school, she was working at her grandmother's charm shop. However as she grew up, she learned that things were not that easy. They struggled to pay rent and business was not as good as it could be. There was also this constant fear that they might be hunted down like her father was.

They weren't alone though. There were other witches like themselves and they stuck together at the Coven. Rosa was extremely grateful for the support and now that she has gotten older, participated more and did her best to help with anything the Coven needed. She was very hardworking and moved up the ranks patiently, only to end up being second in command to some young world traveler who has decided to show up seemingly out of nowhere. At first she was disappointed with the elders'choice, but when she saw him at work, she realized that he was not as incompetent as she thought. He was a talented witch and a responsible leader, so she had no choice but to respect him.

With the threat of war looming over them, Rosa has been doing her best to prepare. While she does want to avoid it, she cannot deny the fact that it is a likely possibility. She wants the Coven to be ready for whatever may happen.

Part I:

He does this thing where he stomps his left foot. Never his right, but always his left.

It is always when we are in the car after we had parked. We unfasten our seat belts and I look at him. His eyes meet mine for a second and then stomp. He quickly looks away.

"Why do you do that?"

"Do what?"

"Stomp your left foot."

"I do that?"

"Yes."

"Didn't know that."

Stomp.

He gets out of the car before I can point out that he did it again.

At our next stop, I try again because I'm not the type to let things go that quickly.

"Do you do it when you're angry?"

"No."

"When you're secretly sad?"

"No."

"Because I'm annoying you?"

"Maybe."

"Oh."

I sink into the seat, feeling awful about myself. If I was annoying him, he should have told me sooner. I didn't realize that I was such a bother.

My moment of self-loathing was interrupted with a "You're stupid."

I jerk my head up, upset that he would rub more salt onto my wound. "Well, I'm sorry for being annoying and stupid."

He sighs.

"Really want to know why I stomp my foot?"

"No. Don't care anymore. You're mean."

"Just listen."

"No."

"I was-"

"No."

"-nervous."

"What?"

"I said I was nervous."

"About what?"

"Just nervous."

I look over at him to see that his eyes had fell to the ground. He's nervous. But I'm not. Somehow, sometime, somewhere, I found some courage. I lean in and kiss him on the cheek.

"You're so cute."

Finally finished. Will change or add anything if need be.

Dorkle nodded as his friends gave their thoughts on what he had wrote down. He did write down a lot, but he figured he might as well write more when it came to brainstorming. It was better to cross things out that they weren't going to use then to forget things they would like to add later on. "Please help me with that, System," he said while scratching his head with his free hand. "I'm pretty much useless when it comes to flashiness and art."

"Goodbye Isa! Stay safe!" he called out as the Royal Guard member ran off back to her post. He knew that he shouldn't worry, but he was. Humans were unpredictable after all. Even Isa could get hurt if she encountered one.

He turned back to System and handed her back the note pad after crossing things out. "So this is what we're going to have on the poster. Wait here while I'll get the book to use for the reference picture."

He walked towards the labyrinth of shelves that would probably confuse most monsters but Dorkle had grew up in this library so he easily found his way around the place. He made his way through the somewhat unpopular nonfiction section. Only nerd monsters and reluctant school children came to this section. He quickly found A Monster's Guide to Human and headed back towards the front desk where System would be waiting for him.

"Here it is," he said, showing off the dusty book. He wiped the cover with a cloth to remove the dust. Unfortunately in the process of doing so, he got some dust in his nose which caused him to have a sneezing fit. "Aaaaachooo. Aaaachooo. Aaaaachoo."

He grabbed a tissue meekly to cover his face and coughed. "The picture should be on page... 23."
Kalani Solle

Bride of Cuwarr Naxremis and Sister-bride to Sorici Amberra

Everything had happened so suddenly. One moment she was being circled by some dirty vultures and the next she was having a piece of surprisingly delicious meat stuffed in her face by some Drakken lord with some manners, though even he was a bit strange. He did not have to treat her so kindly. He was a Drakken and she was a mere Gem. She was forced to be here and he had every right to snatch her away and use force if he needed to. Perhaps she was lucky this time around. "They save the best for last, indeed," she thought to herself with relief. She did not mind too much when he had touched her face or ran his fingers through her hair. He was at least cleaner than most of the Drakkens here nor was he disgusting. In fact, he was fairly young and handsome. But what was that thing he was wearing in front of his eyes? Was it some sort of Drakken fashion statement?

She chewed on the meat and swallowed it, covering her mouth the entire time as not to be rude. After she was done, she curtsied in front of the Drakken lord and the Gem who he had already chosen as his bride. "Thank you for your kind words, my lord. I am Kalani Solle," she replied. "And what shall I call you, my lord?"

She glanced over towards the other Gem who was about a head shorter than her. She was a very beautiful woman who also appeared to be strong-willed. It seems that this Drakken had a type. Hopefully the two of them would get along in the future if they were going to be sister-brides. "It is pleasure to meet you, Sorici." Kalani warmly took both of the Gem's hands in her own. It was obvious to Kalani that she was a Earth Gem as it was very obvious to anyone else that Kalani was a Fire Gem. She could not tell what elements the Drakken controlled over though, not that it made much of a difference.

While she would not admit it right away to herself, she was actually quite fond of the nickname "auburn rose". It was to her knowledge that roses were lovely flowers to gaze upon that also had sharp thorns that cut those careless enough to pluck them. She felt like it suited her.

But she mustn't get carried away by his sweet words. He was still a Drakken and she had to be careful. This wasn't about feelings or love. It was about protecting her people.
