Karamonnom's Search for Something to Help her Procrastinate

Hey guys! I've been kind of inactive these past few months, but I would like to kick things up again. So this is how it's going to work:
I'm going to list some ideas or plot that I am in the mood for roleplaying and you can just let me know if you're interested via PM or posting below. If you have any other ideas, feel free to ask me. More likely than not, I'd be down for it so don't be shy!

Alright, before we get into the plot ideas, I'm going to set some ground rules.

Rules:
1. No one-liners. I used to be okay with it, but some people really abuse it. I'd prefer at least one paragraphs so do your best.
2. No smut. Some darker subjects can be part of the RP, but I'd like to avoid those who are way too into smut. Maybe, maybe if I like you enough, I'll be down for it. But definitely not in the first few posts.
3. Be patient. Look, I don't know about you, but I am pretty busy with school. Especially because it's November and that means college apps are due and midterms are coming up. I'll probably post at least once a week, but if I can't post, I'll let you know so please bear with me. On the other hand, I will be patient with you. I might ask if you are still alive if you don't post for a few weeks without any notification, but aside from that, I won't bother you.
4. Be able to talk to me OOC-ly. Communication is important and sometimes we will have to talk to discuss characters or plot. We don't have to be friends if you don't want to.
5. Romance is fine if not preferred. I'm okay with FxM and MxM, but I've never done FxF before though that is not to say that I am not willing to try. Oh and in case anyone was curious, I am a female.
6. The Golden Rule of RP: Have fun.

Whew. Now that we got that out of the way, let's talk about some plot:

It's a murder mystery! *
In this roleplay, I would have you play the detective (gender doesn't matter), while I will control the rest of the cast/suspects. Your job is to figure out who the murderer and collect enough evidence to arrest them! I already have the plot of it figured out but I think it would be interesting to see another person trying to solve it. The story will take place in the early 1900s Maine, in the home of Alex Kingston. More information will be disclosed to you if you decide you want to do this RP with me.

Love Match? ***
A high school girl had declared herself a natural matchmaker. She has set up over 20 successful matches and the school year isn't even halfway over. So what happens when the most popular, handsome guy in school comes to her and asks her to set him up with someone? Will she help him find true love? Or will she fall for him instead? (Somewhat cliche, but sometimes cliches are fun. I would be willing to play either characters.)

Why am I a ghost? **
A character suddenly discovers that they had turned into a ghost. They have no recollection of how they died or what had happened to them. They meet another character, one who is training to be a medium. Together they try to figure out what had happened to the ghost and to see if they can find a way to let them rest in peace. (Again, willing to play either character and whatever gender)

Lost in Time
Two enemies who never got along were fighting one day when suddenly they were transported to the past! They don't know what they did to cause this, but they will have to try to work together if they want to return back to the present.

Secrets: Nathan and James/Jess' Story

Nathan smiled as James had chosen to watch Avengers. He was a pretty big superhero nerd, but everyone knew that. It didn't take long for James to ask about snacks. "Of course! Do you want chips? Or I can heat up some popcorn? Maybe some soda would be good too," he said while walking towards the kitchen again. Much to his delight, James had paused the movie as they were going to choose some snacks.

For himself, he got a bag of BBQ chips and a coke. He also felt like popcorn was a good idea so he placed a package of it into the microwave for a minute. He then poured the popcorn into two bowls, one for him and one for James. "Uh.. did you want anything else?" he asked while placing everything onto the coffee table in front of them.

James looked like he was pretty out of it today. Zoning out a lot too. "James? Are you sure you're alright? I think something is seriously on your mind. I don't want to pry... but maybe you should tell me. I mean, if you can't tell me, who can you tell right?" he asked, looking into his best friend's eyes.

Summary

The ride is awkward and Kalani tries to be nice.

Kalani gave the poor gem something that was similar to a smile as she took her rightful place besides her lord. She was still wary of the girl, but wondered if maybe she was too harsh. "It's not like I did anything to hurt her. Besides, she was crazy for talking back to a Drakken in the first place. If anything, I probably saved her from getting mauled and I'm forced to share Cuwarr with her," she thought to herself while looking out the window of the carriage. But even so, maybe she should apologize for her behavior. Things have been strained since Sorici had betrayed them.

As the carriage began to move, she watched her home get farther and farther away. She had decided that as soon as they had arrived at the Naxremis estate, she would write a letter to her parents. Hopefully they will be able to receive it or if she would even be able to send it at all. Regardless, she wished to write down her experiences and thoughts onto paper. She did not know why she felt that way.

The ride was an awkward and quiet one. It was similar to her ride to the Shadow Worth but she was no longer alone. She looked at her husband's face, though the mask had hidden most of it. She could imagine the hurt expression he had when Sorici had attacked him and she could see the scar on his neck. He had been quiet, unlike when she had first met him. She found herself missing his carefree nature and how he would talk on and on about anything that was on his strange mind. While he did have a habit of talking too much, it would still be better than this deafening silence.

Amalia, whom they had both criticized for talking too much, had seemingly learned her lesson. She had not said a single word to them since then. She seemed so passionate before, had she lost that so quickly? Perhaps Kalani had nothing to worry about if her sister-bride was this much of a pushover.

When Cuwarr had mentioned the cold, Kalani had caught her shivering. Kalani, herself, as a fire element was always warm, but the girl was definitely not prepared for the harsher weather. Her flimsy dress and lack of any other possessions was not going to shield her from the cold. Had she not prepared anything at all? Did she plan on freezing to death? "Sister, what is your element?" Kalani asked, out of nowhere. "Your appearance suggests Air but something tells me that I am wrong.

"You are allowed to talk, you know. Especially if it is just the three of us. Let us know more about you, Amalia. We are going to be together til death do us part," Kalani added, in case the girl was still hesitant to speak. She looked at the girl with expecting eyes and did her best to give her a welcoming smile.

I feel having Kalani as some sort of antagonist is interesting anyways. With Sorici (before she went rogue), they were too much of a "happy family", so some tension would make things more fun.

Secrets: Nathan and James/Jess' Story

"Wooaaah. You should have told me money was on the line. So you're saying that I should break up with her until after the month," Nathan joked. He leaned back into the couch and sighed. "Nah, she's great. It's just... She's not what I'm looking for," he admitted. "Alright... I guess I have to break the news to her I guess..."

Nathan wasn't used to dumping girls. Usually it was the other way around, if he was able to get a girlfriend in the first place. Now that he thought about it, he hadn't been serious about a girl, ever. He supposed that was a consequence of hitting on anything wearing a skirt. He sighed once more. Fortunately, James began to talk about his problems again thus changing the location of the pity party.

"I feel ya, man. Things have been extra rough on you lately," Nathan said sympathetically. "But we're going to unwind right now! Alright. A chill day with Nathan and Netflix. Not to be mistaken with 'Netflix and Chill', mind you. And you get to choose whatever show you want to watch! I know, I'm so generous."

Nathan quickly grabbed the remote to turn on the t.v. He then set it up so Netflix was on. He then handed the remote over to James to let him choose. "Seriously, anything you want. I'll even watch Mean Girls if you wanted."
