The primal urge to obsessively access your uni portal to see if your classes have been released, so you can read the syllabi thirty-seven times before class next week.

Ezekiel Kel

Location: Camp Entrance -- Camp Half-Blood

Ezekiel saluted at the new kids when Kristin introduced him as the class clown. ”Also most beautiful and best smile so don’t even try,” he said and grinned. He turned around and walked through the gate and twirled his sword around. Ezekiel managed to jump aside when Demetri came roaring through. He rolled his eyes, show off. Two can play that game, and Ezekiel would do it better. ”Oi mini Zeus, I think you’ve put on some weight man. Should lay off the peanuts ya?” Ezekiel turned, a smile still on his face and picked out one of the Empousa and raised his hand. The light answered his call and he concentrated it into a fine point before the thing lit on fire. Like holding a magnifying glass over an ant. Ezekiel released the light once the thing was dead and raised his sword, both hands wrapped securely around the handle and charged another.
More fire broke out and Ezekiel saw Jade, who seemed to see again, take out a few more with her magic of fire. Ezekiel wondered if everyone was craving a bonfire or something. He focused back on an Empousa but couldn’t get close enough to swipe off the head. Ezekiel jumped back to regroup and noticed Leda had hurt her hand. ”We can take a look at the after,” he offered her. Ezekiel would always be more of a healer than a fighter and his mentality always changed when it came to someone being injured. Besides, Ezekiel was taking this little fight with the Empousa as a training exercise.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: The Mutant Underground -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Luna nodded and rolled out her shoulders before she moved over to the group that was about to go on the bar raid. She was thankful to be chosen for this assignment as she had been leaning towards it as an option and going with Sapphire would have been a bad idea all together. She watched the others split off and listened to the one named Casper go on about his father who was Xavier as it turns out. Luna thought she recognized some things about him but it was hard to tell since there were clear signs of him being an addict as well. Luna figured he had his reasons for hating Xavier. He was a good teacher, frustrating as hell but good so she could imagine what having him as a parent may be like. Still, there were worse ones.
”What do you want us looking for?” Luna looked back at Veil, waiting for her further instruction. Luna knew what she would go looking for but that was not necessarily needed. Luna needed to knock herself down a bit. She may know Britain and the inner workings but she wasn’t proficient in America or D.C. like the locals. Back home she was given assignments and trusted to follow through with them and get the job done efficiently but here she wasn't the leader, her opinion wasn't even that vital. She would have to let her work speak for itself.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: Mutant Underground -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Cayden saw the flash of the portal open and as he turned to take a step to follow, it was already gone. Taking Blink and Negasonic with it. He sighed, a bit sad he couldn’t help out with that but Veil shifted him over to the medical run. Better than doing nothing back here. Cayden looked back at Waverly and watched her carefully. She said it had been the police chief and he could kind of piece two and two together. ”Do you want to stay here? Take some time?” He knew Veil assigned her to go with them on the medical run but there was no shame is saying no. Waverly was in mourning, she should be allowed to mourn. After all they managed with out her before, they could do so again.
He watched as everyone started to split off. The leader of the medical run went to go check on Magik, one of the Purifiers so they had a couple of minutes. Cayden looked back at Waverley. They had just met only a short couple days ago but Cayden already considered her a friend, even if she may not but Cayden was always like that. He considered everyone a friend until given reason not to be. Besides that, Waverley was pretty cool and nice, even if she was a bit skittish to this world of fighting.

Cuyler Eysteinsson

Location: The 19th Floor of Wizard Tower -- The Castle
Skills:

Cuyler stopped through the room, leaving Rowland. ”Don’t mistake this as running away Rowland. I don’t run but I am not staying where I am not wanted and in the last place I saw her alive and well. Think what you want but I am no longer a coward,” he said before he left the old man and proceeded down the stairs. Cuyler still clearly had anger issues but many things had changed in the young man and it wasn’t his problem if no one saw that.
Cuyler reached the bottom Floor and it greeted him merrily.

He didn’t give the Floor a second look but he did stomp over it, as if that would do something. He retched open the door and breathed in the fresh air. Thia sat at the bottom of the steps, her ears twitching when he came out and she looked at him with curiosity. ”You don’t want to know,” he muttered and headed down the street towards the docks. As he walked, he withdrew his axe and twirled it around as he walked, needing something to do to unleash his pent up energy. Another reason for why he wanted to go to the docks, he could use his power there.

Amarantha

Location: The Palace Vault -- The Palace
Skills: Resistance; Stamina;

The slap across Amarantha’s face barely stung her. Sure there had been power behind it but Amarantha’s adrenaline and other things were running a mile a minute. She grinned, looking back at Valda and shook her head. ”You shouldn’t have done that.” Her voice had dropped and she clenched her hands into fists while her fangs dropped. It didn’t much matter that Apollodora then gave up what she now was. Myrus’s accusation made no sense to Amarantha but it didn’t matter, she only had eyes for Valda at the moment. The hunger had lessened again but it was always there. ”Arya is very much alive, but not as you once knew her much as I am not who I once was either. Valda, there are about to be two different wars going on and I would like to end one before it begins. You can have the chains after Arya has been corrected. As for me, I am sure Apollodora will look after that.”
Amarantha crossed her arms, her fangs retreating and she looked relaxed in her stance but she was ready to strike at any moment if needed. There, now everyone who needed to know, knew. Prince Myrus’s wild accusations were laughable but she wasn’t about to laugh at the person who could explode her and she wasn’t about to attack a witch that could light her on fire either. ”I don’t believe we actually ‘eat’ anyone,” Amarrantha said and looked at Myrus. ”The hunger has subsided for the moment but I don’t want to wait around here for it to come back. I would like to have this chain situation figured out before I leave though because like I said, they are important and I need them as well.” She looked back at Valda, waiting for the witch Queen to make a choice. Amarantha had damaged the relationship but that made things easier now for Amarantha to be killed once this was over and done with.

Ahote Proudstar

Location: The Palace Vault -- The Palace
Skills:

Ahote had not expected the next few things to happen. Luna saying Amarantha was dead inside, literally, Valda slapping Amarantha clean across the face and Myrus’s outburst of her being Hel reincarnated. Ahote placed a steadying hand on Myrus’s shoulder. ”I don’t think she wants to eat you specifically but if out of necessity, she would.” Amarantha’s fangs dropping confirmed Apollodora’s words and Ahote hung his head, shaking it. Amarantha was a strong and fierce warrior. She was even an excellent leader for her people, harsh and unforgiving at most times but she was passionate. To have her lead this life now, was no life at all and by the sounds of it Amarantha didn’t plan on living long after she fixed what needed fixing.
Ahote looked at Valda, understanding her need to assert dominance but there were high emotions clouding the room and desperation was one of them. ”We all need those chains for something, I think compromise is the best option,” Ahote agreed with Luna. He was certain Luna would fight for Amarantha’s right to use the chains, even though she seemed to be quieter in nature but he agreed that she did need to leave the vaults. Resistance to the one thing she needed to survive could only last so long.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Top Floor Baxter Building-- New York City, New York.
Skills:

The elevator opened up, giving off a familiar ding and Antoinette turned her head quickly to see the group emerge. She beamed and skipped away from the window to greet everyone Lance had brought. She recognized a few of them, Carolina’s sister Cassandra included. She then turned and looked at Lance himself and smiled. It was good to see him. ”I think we will need a raincheck on that movie,” she noted, trying to bring some good natured humor into the situation.
Antoinette caught movement out of the corner of her eye and turned to watch as someone she did not recognize seem to irritate Pietro something fierce without her actually touching him. He yelled and knocked her down by taking out her knee and Antoinette’s eyes widened. This was not how this was supposed to go. Pietro screamed about him not wanting his mind messed with. What was she possibly going to do to his mind? They had a machine to restore memories right now, they didn’t need someone else invading other people's minds to do such a thing.
Ezekiel Kel

Location: Dining Pavilion ---> Camp Entrance -- Camp Half-Blood

Ezekiel looked over at Kiera when she produced her weapons and he rolled his eyes. ”Well I don’t remember everything all the time, I just say I do,” he informed her. They took off running together and made it there to see Leda and a couple others. Among them was a satyr and two new kids. Ezekiel rolled his eyes again. ”I really hate summer camp,” he muttered. Of course new kids came all year round, they had a bit of an open door policy. He turned his sword around in a circle, keeping his wrist loose and looked over at the creatures that had caused the disturbance.

Ezekiel looked over at the Empousa and gave a bit of a shudder. He supposed before they went all dark side they were attractive but now they were just extremely disturbing and loud. ”It never is straightforward and easy,” he said. For the time being though, they were being held at bay with the barrier and seemed to only show up because they were chasing the new people. So maybe it would be easy and Ezekiel could go back to teasing Kiera.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: The Mutant Underground -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Luna followed Max’s attention when he looked at Waverly who was apparently getting a phone call. She frowned a little curious as to who could be on the other line but her attention was drawn back to Veil when she explained that she would be leading the bar mission and once again listened off the different tasks that needed to be completed for the day. ”I will go where you need me to Veil,” Luna offered. She thought it would be best if she didn’t participate in the medical raid with Sapphire’s crew but if that was where she was sent, Luna would do her best to remember Xavier’s words.
It wasn’t that Luna had a problem trusting or following other peoples’ words, she just had a hard time grasping why it was her that had to be the one to placate and make others happy. Why couldn’t they conform to her? Of course, that was Luna’s immaturity in working with others outside of her family coming through. Beyond school, Luna didn’t have much experience working with others. This was as much as a learning process for her as it was for anyone working with her. As her mother would say though, ’we meet people where they are at’. And in a world full of mistrust and misguided understanding, there was a lot of that.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: Mutant Underground -- Washington D.C.

Cayden was near Waverley when she got her phone call. He tried to give her space without completely walking away but it was clear to him that the phone call was upsetting. She mentioned Shaw to the person on the other line and now Cayden wasn’t able to quite ignore her so easily. He finished his apple, setting the core aside to toss later when Waverley finished her phone call and proceeded to drop her phone and void what little she had in her stomach. Cayden stood still for a moment, making a serious effort to keep the food he just ate down when Max came over to help. That seemed to make him snap to and he shook his head before helping move Waverley away from the acidic smell. Fresh air would help her gain a bit more sense he figured. ”Who was on the phone Wave?” His tone was as gentle as it could be but there was some serious curiosity in the tone.
Max seemed to be taking care of her the best he could so Cayden afforded some space and looked at the rest of the group when Veil started handing out assignments. ”I can help out with scouting,” he volunteered. He looked over at the one called Blink and nodded to her. ”If you don’t mind that is.” Cayden wouldn’t have minded going on any one of the missions really but this one was helping everyone get a new home, a new location for them and other future members to lie low in. It was getting crazier out there and they needed a stable place.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Baxter Building-- New York City, New York.

Antoinette munched on toast happily as she sat cross legged on her chair, eating with her friends. The night had treated her well, after getting a hold of Lance, sleeping on the floor didn’t bother her. It rather reminded her of camping with her father when they were on the run and she couldn’t help but picture the stars over her head. October finished up first and she smiled at her before she resumed eating. Antoinette had also changed, finding a pair of light blue, high waist jeans and paired it with a purple shirt and simple grey jumper with the Fantastic Four symbol on it.
Once Antoniette was done eating she made her way to a window, peering down at the street and waited. Lance was coming and he was bringing a bunch of people including Carolina’s sister Cassandra and an Asgardian. He was having quite the adventure it seemed and Antoinette was curious how he had ended up in Australia during the reality change. It seemed everyone had been quite separated and she wondered why the Scarlet Witch decided on doing that. At the very least, some of them were going to be reunited and that gave her higher hopes of them being able to win this thing.

It probably would have been less painful if Rowland had just picked up a knife and shoved it into Cuyler’s stomach or chest, wherever would be the most painful and cause him to bleed out the slowest. ”Well excuse me for taking a few extra minutes to process and try and understand all of this Rowland. No one told me what happened to Ayra, I found out only an hour ago that my best friend died and came back as something Darke! And regardless of what happened to us falling out, I was a friend to her. I would have died for her. I still would die for her but it looks like I’m the one who has to kill her, according to you!” His hands shook as he made a strong effort to calm down. The mix of the Darke room, emotions and late hour were catching up to Cuyler.
Rowland’s offer of logging was kind but Cuyler didn’t want it. ”I’ll sleep at the docks. The others can stay here if they wish and then I will start the task you have asked of me in the morning,” he said and moved towards the door. Cuyler didn’t care how much pain Rowland was in right now. He was in pain too and his was just as significant. There was enough guilt weighing on Cuyler's shoulders at the idea of Arya pushing herself into trying to save everyone that she became careless and didn’t protect herself.

Amarantha

Location: The Palace Vault -- The Palace
Skills: Resistance; Stamina;

Snap? Valda thought that was snapping? She had no idea what it was like for Amarantha to snap at anyone. She grinned darkly at the Queen as she stomped over and grabbed the chains, shaking them as she moved them. The sound of Valda’s voice and the chains were loud in Amarantha’s ears but at the very least they had found them, regardless of Amarantha’s supposed snapping. She would apologize to her friend later if the opportunity arose. ”You may have them after I am done Prince Myrus,” she sneered and looked at the Queen for approval. ”The former ExtraOrdinary Wizard is not to be trifled with. Who knows, maybe your enemy is the same. You have yet to learn who is the bringer of Ragnarok and yet I know the destroyer of our world right now. So if you wouldn’t mind.” Amarantha looked back at Valda and held her hand out expectantly. ”I will let you have the honors of tying up Arya if that makes you feel better,” she said to Valda.
The hunger was still pounding away at Amarantha’s resolve and the smells of their collective blood was starting to mingle together in a delicious cocktail. It was only irritating Amarantha further and her eyes flashed as she waited for the chains. She looked over at Apollodora, wondering if between them they could take out Valda if need be. There was also the problem of Myrus’s glowing hands that they had to contend with. ”Valda please, we are running out of time. I am running out of time,” she said pointedly.

Ahote Proudstar

Location: The Palace Vault -- The Palace
Skills:

Ahote’s eyes widened a little at Valda’s fiery response but he did smirk a little and looked at Amarantha for a comeback. And if he knew her, there would be one. There was a bit of worry going through Ahote’s mind from Valda snapping. Amarantha wasn’t in her right frame of mind it seemed so he wouldn’t be surprised if she truly did snap back at Valda and do something more destructive. Ahote took a step forward, hands loose at his sides. The tension in the room was starting to heat up and he wasn’t sure if finding the chains had really helped matters.

Mryus spoke up and Ahote turned his head to look at him. He did have a point. Apollodora said not even the gods could break these and that would be extremely useful in trapping the god that was supposed to kill Baldur. However, Amarantha didn’t seem willing to give them up. ”True, we don’t know yet but we have a good source. Do you even know where your former ExtraOrdinary Wizard is?” He rose an eyebrow at Amarantha in challenge. Stupid maybe but Ahote wasn’t about to let her do something that would get them or herself killed in the process.
Ezekiel Kel

Location: Dining Pavilion -- Camp Half-Blood

Ezekiel winked at Kiera when she told him to just keep going at it with Demetri. Maybe he would, if just for the sheer joy of it. It had been rather boring at the camp lately and playing Capture the Flag was only fun so many times. Jade seemed to stare at them for awhile until her eyes glazed over and she looked away. Ezekiel frowned. ”Some sort of spell maybe. Doesn’t seem to be working anymore,” he noted.

He turned and smirked at Demetri’s comebacks. ”Toothpicks hey? Looks can be deceiving boy wonder.” He shifted, placing his elbow on the table to get ready to arm wrestle when the barrier horn went off. Ezekiel stood up automatically and looked at Kiera when she didn’t move and then questioned him. ”Monsters at the barrier. I’d advise getting a weapon or two if you don’t carry one on you. They haven’t gotten through in awhile but never say never.” He looked back behind him and watched Demetri run to protect others. He rolled his eyes and saw Jade still sitting at her table. ”Get Jade somewhere far from here. Her cabin or the blue house maybe.” Ezekiel left the dining pavilion and headed towards the barrier, pulling his sword out of hiding as he went. He wasn’t certain whatever was knocking at the door would get through but one never did know.
