Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: The Cherry Bomb -- Washington D.C.
Skills: Telepathy

The bar seemed a little out of place in the downtown core, what with the peeling sign and the front end looking run down and uncared for. Walking inside made the scene no better. An older crowd for the mid-day break and all in business casual but they seemed upstanding. It made Luna wonder what kind of crowd was drawn to a place like this later in the day. Obviously younger people came here but what drew them here. Perhaps it was just the simple karaoke machine they had up front but you could only go karaoking so many nights in a row, at least in Luna’s opinion. She followed Veil to the bar, looking at the selection of liquor they had on the back wall and weighed her options. Jack didn’t stick with them long and Luna watched him leave, spouting something about seeing an old acquaintance. ”Well that shouldn’t be unsettling,” Luna noted. The man was older, old enough to be Jack’s father but that’s all Luna bothered to notice about him at the moment.

”You know, you can tell a lot about a person by which alcohol they drink,” Luna pointed out. She watched Veil take a sip of her whiskey without grimacing and shook her head, smirking herself. ”Vodka cran,” she asked the bartender simply. She looked down the bar and back the other way. ”Is it always an older crowd?” As she asked the bartender a question she jumped into their mind. Having asked a question in regards to patrons, their mind should be going through people they had seen come and go through this place so she was hoping an image of the missing person would come up. No luck on that front though but Luna was just getting started and Jack seemed well on his way into conversation so maybe he would find out something sooner.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: Mutant Underground -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Cayden shrugged and nodded, all with a smile as Sapphire simply told him that she was driving. Whatever was easiest, he thought to himself. He bounced along beside everyone as they walked, just eager to stretch his legs a bit and get a change of pace. Not that things had exactly slowed down since he joined the Underground in Washington but Cayden liked to be active. He walked beside Waverley, listening to her voice her concerns and possible problems with relying solely on her power. ”Just try your best,” Cayden encouraged. She still seemed new into her power or at least new to using it in combat situations so it would take time to build up that confidence but it helped when other people had confidence and belief in a person. She had proven her skill well so far since being at the Underground.
Cayden crawled into the back of the vehicle they were to take and strapped in accordingly. ”What’s the medication called again?” Cayden had heard Casper say it briefly but they were some intense words so Cayden couldn’t even remember what letter they started with let alone how to say them. Now that he was in the car, Cayden wasn’t as worried about security or trying to pass like they belonged there. It helped knowing that Sapphire didn’t seem to be worried about it either. He was curious who would end up needing to be the distraction and what would pose as a big enough distraction.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Top Floor Baxter Building-- New York City, New York.
Skills:

Antoinette's carefully crafted illusion eventually faded and she let out a tired breath at having held something for so long. It had done the trick though and as Antoinette ran over to Carolina to make sure she was okay, Guin put the soldiers to sleep and Novikova made sure they couldn’t move after that. ”You alright Lina? October?” Her voice shook some from the adrenaline still working it's way though her system. She looked both her friends over, scanning for any injuries or anything. She let out a relieved sigh and looked around them. There was quite a bit of destruction and Mystique was bleeding out it seemed.
Now that the soldiers attacking them had been properly subdued, Antoinette had to agree that leaving now would be good. There was no telling how many more men the King would be sending their way. They had to figure out a way to get back to their old reality or they would be running forever. At least back home, the real home, they had a bit more breathing room now and weren’t constantly on the run.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Cassi’s Bedroom -- Cassi & Layla’s Apartment
Skills:

Hunting season was full blown in Kansas right now and Cassiopeia had been up before the sun everyday for the last week and a half guiding them all. She helped out with some of the regular hunting tours but she primarily helped with the archery hunting which would run until the end of December. This was definitely the busiest time of year for her and her sister when she helped out but that wasn’t bad considering all the money they would be making. And when money was involved, Cassiopeia had no problem working overtime but today she had taken a blessed day off, needing it and so when her twin sister walked back into the apartment from already being at a morning class, Cassiopeia was still lazing in bed. Artemis was at her feet, keeping her already warm toes heated and she had her laptop open, watching mind numbing Netflix shows.
”Bed,” she called out to her sister. Cassiopeia made no indication of wanting to get up or move. ”Bring me a muffin or something!” Her stomach started to rumble, indicating that she still hadn’t had anything to eat this morning. The warm bed and cat snuggles were beating out the human need for sustenance. Slowly Cassiopeia stretched and yawned, her strawberry blonde hair was a mess but she didn't bother to try fixing it. Although Cassiopeia and Layla were indeed twins, born seconds apart, they were not identical by any means. Artemis let out an annoyed meow at being shifted but didn't make a motion to move yet.

Willow Jones

Location: The Diner
Skills:

Willow had just driven over from school, just starting her lunch break and she didn’t have her usual shift at the library so she decided on some different scenery. The local diner wasn’t much to look at but it was a piece of home with that same cozy atmosphere and it wasn’t the loud hustle and bustle or eerily quiet of University either. Willow got out of her SUV and locked the doors before she bounced into the diner. The smell of strong coffee and freshly buttered toast greeted her and she smiled happily before scanning for a seat. She found an open booth and decided to take up residence, setting one of her psychology textbooks down and slid into the worn seats. Willow sighed, content and ordered up a coffee and orange juice while she looked over the menu to see what was appealing to her.
There were a few familiar faces in the diner but they all looked somber for the most part. Curious. While she waited for the waitress to come back Willow riffled through the mail and found the letter that was addressed to her again. There was no return address or stamp, it was rather confusing but Willow opened it anyways and scanned the couple of paragraphs. She had to reread the thing a couple of times but it still didn’t make any sense. Lots of people knew who Willow’s parents were but she was getting creepy vibes from the words watching you. She set the letter down and scanned the diner. Who could be stalking her?

Ezekiel Kel

Location: Camp Entrance -- Camp Half-Blood

Ezekiel rolled his eyes at Demetri and put his sword away. He watched the arrogant prick walk away after giving him the peace sign. How did that make any sense? ”Right, I’ll remember that the next time you are ogling me while I’m working out,” he stated. Ezekiel looked around as the dust cleared, from Demetri and saw that all the Empousa were dead. He then started to scan campers who had defended for any injuries. As far as he could see, Leda was the only one. He would either heal her here or escort her back to the Big House to have another Apollo kid if she couldn’t stand him that much. Granted on their quest they took a long time ago, none of them had much of an option when injured.
Ezekiel watched as a sign of Hypnos appeared over one of the new campers. Huh, it had been awhile since he had seen a new child of Hypnos, cool. He was curious to see if the brother would be claimed by the same god, however it wasn’t uncommon for siblings to be separated. Ezekiel turned his attention back to Leda to see if she was willing to lower her standards for his help or not.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Top Floor Baxter Building-- New York City, New York.
Skills: Illusions

The pleasant mood Antoinette was feeling was quickly lost at the sight of Mystique and then at the sound of gunfire. Antoniette dropped to her knees, covering her ears and took a moment shaking there before she looked up. People were already moving into action, defending and attacking the Palace guards. Pietro returned and Antoinette dropped her hands from her ears in shock as she saw he had ripped the hearts out of guards chests. She tried to believe it was just him defending but the strange woman’s words who came with Lance drifted into her head. She found Guin in shock from it as well but Guin didn’t stay there long as the shield protecting most of them dropped.
The gunfire got loud again and Antoinette covered her ears once more but she knew she couldn’t stay like this. She couldn’t be defenseless and she couldn’t just sit on the floor doing nothing. Her purple eye flared as she thought of several different ideas and illusions she could cast as distractions. An image of something large, angry and green flashed across her mind and she smiled a little as she stood. Antoinette shook out her hands and shut her eyes as she thought of bringing forth the Hulk.

Cuyler Eysteinsson

Location: Wizard Way -- The Castle
Skills:

As he walked, Cuyler whistled a small tune to himself. Something his father would whistle while they worked on the boat. It calmed Cuyler and made him feel a bit more himself, that was until some idiot stepped out of the shadows and aimed an arrow at Cuyler’s head. Cuyler looked down at his axe and then the guy. Thia sat beside Cuyler, watching the man with the arrow curiously. She didn’t seem bothered by her companions predicament. ”Really? And where did you come across such a rare find?” Cuyler tossed his axe from hand to hand, watching the thief.
Either Cuyler was feeling reckless or was just as dumb because he felt absolutely no fear or concern of the arrow pointed at his head. The man was close enough that the arrow would hit its mark no matter what, unless this man had horrible aim. Cuyler took a step closer to the man, curious as to what he would do. ”I’m afraid I have no coin to give you. None of this land’s currency at least.”

Amarantha

Location: The Palace Vault -- The Palace
Skills: Resistance; Stamina;

Amarantha stalked Valda’s steps with her eyes as she walked away. The chains seemed to clink in a way that taunted her as they disappeared from the vault. It was awfully bold of Valda to do such a thing in Amarantha’s state. No one was invincible, those with power or not. After all, Amarantha had killed several witches in her lifetime. The former Queen’s killer being her most recent kill. Not that it mattered much with Valda acting like a child and stomping away with the chains with a ‘if I can’t use them, than neither can you’ attitude. Amarantha seriously didn’t have time for this but Valda wasn’t her only problem now. She saw a flash of movement and turned in time to see the glowing viola then Apollodora shoved Amarantha out of the way. It wasn’t nearly fast enough and she was still hit but the pain did not register as she fell to the ground. Amarantha looked down at her legs, seeing the bone there from where the blast had taken her flesh away. ”Well isn’t that interesting,” she commented.
Amarantha’s hunger was back and she glared up at the Prince before she rose to her feet. Luna stepped in front of her, trying to protect her from Myrus and perhaps the other way around as well. ”I am a monster Luna. Don’t get me confused with anything else,” she said. ”Now, if you don’t want me getting killed by either Mryus or Valda you will let me leave to go and feed. Or are you offering?” She looked at the last two royal members of the family a glint in her eye that did indeed suggest she was hungry. If Valda had been trying to diffuse the situation by leaving and Mryus trying to defend the royal families honor by attacking, they were doing a poor job of it. Didn't anyone ever tell them not to tickle a sleeping dragon?

Ahote Proudstar

Location: The Palace Vault -- The Palace
Skills:

Ahote watched Valda walk from the room and sighed. Everyone could have handled this much better. Amarantha with less of a demanding attitude and Valda with less superiority. There was too much hostility in this room and it only intensified when Myrus lashed out. He shifted under Ahote’s touch and threw the viola before Ahote could stop him. His eyes widened as it just missed Amarantha but not enough to save her from any damage. Luna shifted in-between and then Ahote did the same and looked at Mryus. ”Well done,” he complimented, truly meaning it. Myrus had shown great control of his power, just not his emotion. ”But I don’t believe now is the best time. Your sister has taken the chains. Let’s follow her and plead her our case. Luna, come with us,” Ahote said and looked back at her.
As he did so he made eye contact with Amarantha. There was anger there but also sadness. She didn’t want to be the full blown monster she had been turned into but there was no getting away with what she was so it seemed Amarantha was embracing the fullness of it. Although to her credit, she still hadn’t attacked the family she was charged to protect when any one else of her kind would have. Amarantha nodded to him, telling him to take them all out of here. Ahote looked back at Myrus, hoping the prince would listen to him, even though he clearly didn’t have to.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: The Mutant Underground ---> On The Road -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Luna followed along behind Veil as she led them to the garage. Blending in would be a little easier said than done but Luna had a nice advantage of being a foreigner here. Most Americans seemed to love to poke fun at the British and try to talk like them. That could make her a good distraction for the others to poke around at least. As she passed her bike, Luna grabbed her leather riding jacket. That would help her blend into the bar scene a bit better. ”If you want I could try poking around into some of the patrons minds,” Luna offered to Veil. She wasn’t going to do it unless she had her okay.
Luna slid into the van and took a spot near the middle. She surveyed the group as they got in one by one. They were heavy with abilities but all of them seemed to have a bit of an anger or attitude thing going on. It would be interesting to see if they could all scrape by without getting into some sort of altercation. Luna ran a hand through her hair, sending the short locks in all sorts of directions but honestly, the look worked. They were going to a bar after all and it would be better to look the part.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: Mutant Underground -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Cayden grinned at Waverley and nodded. ”That’s the spirit!” He walked over and stood with her while Sapphire, their leader for the mission, spoke to Colossus about his sister and the sort of things they would need to help detox. Cayden grabbed a water bottle and offered Waverley some water to help clean out the bad taste of puke from her mouth and settle her stomach some. Although, if they showed up to a hospital with someone puking that might give them a bit more lee way.
Cayden hadn’t been to too many hospitals in his life time but he had seen a few on TV. They could be quite large and very busy in the emergency wing. Having a blueprint might help but trying to walk through that place while looking normal would be interesting as well. ”I can drive us, or find a vehicle if we need a getaway after,” Cayden offered. He had driven the van back on his first mission here just the other day.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Top Floor Baxter Building-- New York City, New York.
Skills:

Antoinette smiled a bit and looked back at the others. She stayed near Lance, just happy to have another friend around. One she remembered. The room shifted in tension and Antoinette’s eye flared a bit from it but nothing more than that. Even if one wasn’t empathetic, it would be hard not to feel the change in the room. Pietro ran off in a swirl of wind and Antoinette couldn’t help but feel for him. ”His sister did mess with his mind and control him before we all arrived here. He could be reeling from that still,” she reminded them all.
The one who attempted to restore Pietro’s memories in a rather aggressive away continued to be hostile and Antoinette frowned. She unleashed at Guin and that was a bit much. Antoinette wasn’t close with Guin, to be honest she found Guin to be a bit intimidating and maybe she was a bit dependante or Belle to his Beast but still. ”I believe we are all entitled to a say, especially if we want to fix what has happened.” Antoinette nodded in agreement with Allison. They were all on the same side and bickering with each other wouldn’t solve the bigger problem.
