Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Mutant Underground HQ - Dining Room-- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Leighton was Emma Frost’s niece? Well, that was a shock to the system. Luna ran a hand through her cropped hair, she was probably going to have to trim it up again at the rate it was growing. It seemed Xavier just wanted them to keep up with the usual and keep the Sinister stuff on the back-burner. To be honest, that bothered Luna a bit as she had been sent here in the first place for the Shaw and Sinister stuff but if she remained in the Underground, it would be a good cover for her. If Sinister’s intention was still to go after mutants for his little experiments, this would be the best place to remain undercover since they shepherded mutants from place to place and they always had information.
”If there is nothing else you require from me at the moment, I would absolutely love to go and get cleaned up. I can take a few people with me as well if they would like to get cleaned up,” Luna offered, speaking to Veil. Luna’s hotel was of average make and model, a Motel 6 and if she brought a couple mutants up the back way, no one would bat an eye. It was one of the reasons why she chose an average hotel rather than a high end one, where someone may recognize her or a shady one, where anyone would give anyone information for a little money.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: Mutant Underground HQ - Dining Room -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Cayden beamed when Professor Xavier addressed him and his information. It made sense as Shaw and Sinister were working together. Cayden paid extra close attention to the mention of the X man’s words on his son. Hopefully they would be able to come across something to help the man but Cayden wouldn’t mind returning to the normallancy of the Underground’s operations.
Cayden looked over when Luna spoke up about bringing a couple people with her to get cleaned up. ”Oh that would be nice,” Cayden admitted. He didn’t take long showers but to be able to wash his hair would be just lovely. He never really wanted to cut his hair, he liked the long look and it was a bit of a tradition for him and his people so the upkeep required a bit more work.
Ezekiel Kel

Location: Bus Depot -- New York City, New York

Ezekiel flipped one of the drachmas Kristen had given him to Argus. ”Your titillating conversation is always a pleasure Argus. Maybe on the next go round you can run a magical cleaning through the van, ya?” Ezekiel said before he climbed out. He stood with the girls on the sidewalk to the bus depot. He looked up and down the walkway, trying to spot a vending machine. He knew there had to be one somewhere, there always was.
”Ya, sticking together usually is best. I was informed once that splitting up the group is a bad idea. Although far less exciting in my opinion,” Ezekiel teased. He glanced over at Janelle, hoping she would get his humor before looking at Kristen. ”We need road snacks. I’ll take requests as long as you get me my ticket,” he told Kristen. ”Janelle, chips, candy, something to drink perhaps?” He started backing away from the two of them slowly, waiting for their requests while also covering ground at the same time.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Chinese Place -- Wichita, Kansas
Skills:

Cassiopeia’s eyes widened when Tinker told them how many of them there were. ”Fourteen of us? All in the same town?” Could it really be that possible to have so many of them in one location? They had probably seen each other once or twice at some point too. Cassiopeia leaned back in her seat, listening to the others and feeling some relief that they could bring their cats and other supplies that they may need. Cassiopeia would definitely be bringing her bow and some other hunting gear. At least that they already had packed and ready to go.
Cassiopeia fiddled with a napkin on the table, not really in the mood for friendly conversation and small talk. Their entire world had just been turned upside down and now they were expected to leave everything they knew to go and help parents they had never met. This wasn’t something people did everyday. This was crazy and it was a lot to handle in one sitting.

Willow Jones

Location: Willow’s Room
Skills:

Annie’s voice brought Willow back to reality but she still seemed a bit stunned and then her mother, the woman she loved walked into Willow’s room and handed her her adoption papers. Willow managed to squeak out a thank you before she looked over the papers. Her maternal last name was there and she ran fingers over the printing before she noticed a lettered M on the paper. Could that be Merlin’s signature?
”No Annie, I’m really not okay. I don’t understand what’s going on. Oak Park was terrifying, finding out I was adopted from some strange letter saying my biological parents are in danger… I can hardly wrap my mind around everything. Can you come over?” The memory she just had on top of that was only making everything more real and Willow was starting to feel a tightening in her chest. She wouldn’t be surprised if she was on the verge of a panic attack.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Galactus Ship - (Group 2) -- SPACE
Skills:

Antoinette smiled as Mirembe came over to the console and started talking about it needing to find the system to shut down. Antoinette couldn’t agree more but there was a problem with not being able to read and she didn’t want to just start pressing buttons and doing more damage. Mirembe didn’t seem to mind pressing buttons or she just knew what button to press and a hologram of the room popped up. She looked it over, trying to decipher anything from it but it just looked like the room on a hologram with blinking lights.
She heard Lance move and taunt the Silver Surfer who blasted him back. Antoinette gasped and then her eyes widened as she started to see his skin turn colours. ”Mirembe, this room is about to get a lot more crowded,” she noted. She seriously hoped Lance knew what he was doing and that they would have a better shot of getting Lance back down to Lance size at the end of this. Guin was closer with Lance, perhaps she would have the better chance than the rest of them had. Antoinette didn’t want to have to hurt Lance again.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Mutant Underground HQ - Dining Room-- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Luna watched Veil and Xavier interact and she stole a piece of pizza, as she hadn’t yet had the luxury to have any. She even picked up an American beer although she didn’t quite have the taste for American beer, chalking it up to nothing more than coloured swamp water. Still, it would be enough to get the edge off. She grabbed another slice of pizza after her first and relaxed. It was the first time she had truly been relaxed in days and it was nice. She didn’t realize how tired she was until now and stifled a yawn.
Luna was glad the Professor was here but she was curious as to why he was here in the first place. Was he simply checking in on the mission he gave Luna to bring to the Mutant Underground? Or did the Professor have more information on the task at hand. The problem with Professor X was he tended to withhold information a lot, claiming it was on a need to know basis or some other rubbish. It was a bit maddening, especially when his information tended to provide a straight and forward direction in what they needed to proceed with.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: Mutant Underground HQ - Dining Room -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Cayden listened to Veil’s recap of the events and sipped his pop happily. ”He seemed to have a lot of well known mutants working for him,” Cayden added in, all smiles. It was true there were some discrepancies on how Professor X worked but that was with any person really. Not everyone was going to get a long or appreciate their style but that didn’t mean a man like Xavier didn’t deserve some respect and Cayden was just in awe of the man. He never thought he would get to meet any X-Men, let alone the X-Man.
Cayden looked back, watching the kids and smiled as some seemed captivated by the man in the wheelchair and the others were just happy to have warm food in their bellies. Hopefully they would be able to sleep well tonight and within the next couple of days they could get them moving to someplace a little more permanent and safe. Cayden turned back to the conversation in front of him, listening intently and ready to provide any information if he needed to. Not that he knew any more than Veil did.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Galactus Ship - (Group 2) -- SPACE
Skills: Enhanced Intuition; Pyrotechnics

Plans weren’t always a bad thing, they were a good tool to have, especially with so many powers working in one room, a plan could be to their advantage. But, as Antoinette watched Lance fly up to the door, she supposed the all or nothing approach did work out for them just as well. Antoinette followed up after Lance and entered a room full of people. It seemed all of them had made it to this room at just about the same time. She looked around at the people she hadn’t seen since being in Stark Tower and then she looked at Silver Surfer who was surrounded by people but he seemed to be faring well against them.
There was an alarm sounding and Antoinette watched the Nullifier become encased. That was going to prove to be a bit more difficult to get out. Antoinette focused on the Silver Surfer, trying to get into his head like so many others to see if he knew of a way to release the security of the Nullifier but she couldn’t get a read on him. She made her way over to Lance and the control panel next, looking it over for answers there but the panel was written out in an alien language she didn’t understand. Antoinette eyed the Nullifier and lifted her hand trying to use her new found power to blast open the case. She only managed a few sparks and sighed, dropping her hand. Her sparkling new power would have to wait until she got to train with it some more. For now, she focused on Silver Surfer again to see what sort of illusions she could create.

Luna nodded when Nightcrawler expressed his desire to not talk about what it was like being on the drug. She had to respect his wishes, even though her desire to know was insane. She felt that with the more knowledge she had, the better she would be able to combat this in the future. Cayden walked into the room with pizza, briefly distracting everyone from their conversations. ”It’s alright. Death is a part of life after all. Stay and eat something at the very least before you decide to go,” she pressed. She nodded at him once more before she went to secure at least one piece of pizza.
Professor Xavier and Veil walked into the dining room along with a couple other people. Luna smiled at the professor and nodded. ”Professor Xavier, good to see you,” she noted. Xavier’s relationships with his students were hit or miss but on a whole, Luna had learned a lot from being under his direction when she was at his school. She was still learning from him and she was sent here because of him.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: Mutant Underground HQ - Dining Room -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Cayden glanced at Illyana, undisturbed by her threat and shrugged at Colossus. ”No worries big guy. There’s lots,” he said and handed a box to Illyana before he took another to the group of kids and all gave them a can of pop as well. ”Don’t eat too quickly,” he warned them. He had seen it back home where kids hadn’t eaten anything for days or weeks and at the first sign of food, they would gorge themselves and then be sick after.
Cayden managed to snag a couple slices himself and a can of pop before Professor Xavier showed up. He stared at the man who sat in a hovering wheelchair with wide eyes. Wow, it was really him. Cayden managed to swallow the pizza in his mouth and walked over to the group near the professor, just wanting to be a part of the conversation that was about to happen.
Ezekiel Kel

Location: The Camp Van -- Camp Half-Blood

Ezekiel remained silent while Kristen explained what an Iris Message was. When she explained it like that, it sounded rather stupid to him. He understood the gods were great and powerful and most of them adored flattery but the idea of putting ‘Oh’ in front of a prayer was like all those people in hot yoga chanting. It was a bit ridiculous.
”In case you haven’t noticed it yet, the drachma are heavier than the regular currency. They are also fairly larger in size than the US coin,” Ezekiel pointed out to Janelle. ”I don’t think the average store clerk will really care what you hand him but anyone dealing with our world, demi-god, Iris messages or travel, its drachma or nothing.”
He shifted in his seat and looked out the window, watching the city come into view and sighed. Not only was it crowded and large, but the smell was awful. The warmer it was, the worse it was, the more wind you had, the more you got from the bay. There really was no winning unless you were in central park. Too bad they couldn’t just take fast travel to Texas. Now they would have to take a bus with who knows how many different human smells. At least people provided entertainment when they thought no one was watching them.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Chinese Place -- Wichita, Kansas
Skills:

Cassiopeia watched everyone else start to eat and nodded. ”Well alright then. I guess we’re on board. We’ll have to call someone to watch the cats Lala,” she pointed out to her sister. Cassiopeia wasn’t entirely sure what she should be feeling at the moment. She was intrigued at the idea of visiting a place she had never seen or heard of and she was fascinated with the idea of Robin Hood being her true father. What version of all the stories she had read would he be like, she wondered.
”Leave the poor boys along Layla, I believe you have picked on them enough today,” she joked. She had to admit though, the two of them were starting to grow on her. Cassiopeia looked back at Tink. ”So you’ve been watching us, all of us? How many of us are there?” Not to mention kind of creepy that she had been keeping an eye on them all this time. How old was she?

Willow Jones

Location: Willow’s House
Skills:

Willow sipped her tea and smiled once her friend answered the phone. ”Hey Annie, have you got a minute? I really need someone to talk to.” She sipped her tea again, listening to the sound of voices on the other line. It sounded like Annie was watching the news and it was only confirmed when they started talking about Oak Park and the dead bodies. Willow shut her eyes and had to set her tea down before she spilt it. ”Annie I was there. I was at Oak Park,” she told her friend.
Of course that wasn’t what Willow wanted to talk about but both things were related, she just wasn’t sure how her friend would take her speaking about the wizard Merlin. Willow still didn’t even understand it but it was hard to ignore the dead bodies and a sudden portal opening up in front of them all at his hands before he disappeared. Willow shut her eyes and breathed in her rose scented candle. The smell always seemed to calm her and occasionally, bring about some lost memories. In this instant, Willow would be able to remember some things of her past again. A woman’s voice, the smell of freshly cut roses, yellow hair the same shade as hers and to male voices. She seemed to recognize one and slowly Merlin came into view. As well as a woman in a beautiful blue dress, standing close with another man. They were speaking of her and sending her away for her safety but they were arguing and didn’t seem happy. Those had to be her parents. Willow strained for a closer look but she was pulled back to reality. Willow blinked several times, momentarily forgetting where she was and that she was on the phone.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Galactus Ship - (Group 2) -- SPACE
Skills:

Antoinette’s eyes widened as she watched Elizabeth get hit as well but much worse than the others. Elizabeth didn’t let the injuries stop her though as she attacked the Chitauri and made for the door Lance had opened. Antoinette didn’t hesitate either and took the opportunity to run after the others into the hopeful safety of the next room. She looked up, seeing the next door on what would be the ceiling. She had the faintest recollection of Alice In Wonderland and smiled a little at the thought of thinking impossible things. Their whole lives were a bit like an impossible thing. Her face plate dropped and she looked at the others, unaware Carolina had left her body until she spoke up again.
They were close to the Nullifier now. So close but they had another major fight to get through. They had been warned about the Silver Surfer before being transported to Galactus’s ship and now they were about to face him. Antoinette looked down at her hands, twitching her fingers and wondered what type of new power she had developed. It was a gift to be given yet another power and she wasn't about to squander it. The only thing with a new power was it being unstable and not very controllable but in a situation such a this, something big and powerful as a new, untested power would be an asset Antoinette thought.
”Should we come up with a bit of a plan before we go on through?”
