Ezekiel walked inside with the other two once Kristin broke the door open. It wasn't exactly subtle but as they walked into the auditorium it seemed like they had an audience already patiently waiting for them. Ezekiel looked around the room, trying to get a feel for it. He didn't see any of Artemis's hunters around but he trusted they were there, somewhere in the shadows. What Ezekiel couldn't quite wrap his head around was the fact that trained hunters were here and yet, three kids were still expected to bring home Calliope.
Ezekiel looked at the Muse tied up and gagged and was mildly surprised at how human it all looked. Seriously, wasn't this how all the James Bond movies started? He looked over at Leda and rolled his eyes. "Ye of little faith Leda." He walked down the aisle, eyes on Marysas. He didn't know where the bout of confidence came from or why the twenty Cyclops didn't seem to bother him but here he was.
"Doing alright there Calliope? Marysas, I hear you're looking for a little competition and the lovely Calliope is to judge? Now how is she supposed to adequately judge when she is all tied up like that? Hardly fair. She can't even speak to pass judgment," he said sweetly, laying on the charm. Ezekiel stopped a few rows back from the stage and looked up at Marysas. "Nice little entourage you got," he said gesturing to all the Cyclops's.

”Ya, but the harpies weren’t really a battle. Just a nuisance like they are back at camp,” he noted. He glanced out the window for a moment before he started fiddling with the new bracelet on his arm. He wasn’t sure it was doing much good but it had been a gift. He wondered if that girl had gotten on the Argo and who she even was. He had never seen her at camp before and there usually was some sort of ceremony to meet new people.
He looked over at Kristin when she started talking about their quest last year. He groaned when she mentioned the baby Cyclops. ”Only because I didn’t sign up for babysitting duty. Leda wanted to save the thing, she should have been responsible for it,” Ezekiel grumbled.
”Hey Kristin, you’re a know it all and pretty well know everyone at camp. Do you know a girl at camp with long dark hair and piercing blue eyes?” Ezekiel remembered she also had a bit of green in her eyes but he didn’t think he had to go into grave detail. It was bad enough he was bringing this up as it was. As he waited for her answer he continued to fiddle with the evil eye bracelet.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Pietro & Guin’s Wedding Reception
Skills: Illusion Casting;

Antoinette didn’t waver as the metal shards were thrown at them all. For some reason, this reaction from Magneto didn’t surprise her and so didn’t warrant a surprised response. She lifted her hand and tapped the shards methodically before her attention shifted. Miranda supplied them with a shield but it didn’t seem to be complete as Guin walked herself around and was toe to toe with Magneto again. Antoinette hurried herself over but Guin was already engaged in fighting him.
Bethany appeared behind Magneto and Antoinette smiled slightly as they disappeared but they reappeared quickly and only two feet from their starting point. Antoinette frowned and her purple eye started to glow as she switched tactics. Antoinette conjured up three massive timber wolves which stood between Guin and Magneto. They growled and snapped their very real teeth at Magneto. The lead one pawed at the ground, waiting to attack. ”I don’t believe I sent you an invitation. I did help send them out after all,” Antoinette explained.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Warehouse ---> Outside Warehouse -- Wichita, Kansas
Skills:

Cassiopeia started walking but stopped when Rosalia spoke to her. She turned around and looked at the sarcastic girl. ”And what you would know about my happy little world? We’ve all got baggage here alright, and we are all looking for answers so calm your shit.” Cassiopeia turned back around and followed her sister out of the warehouse. She took in a deep breath of fresh air and felt less claustrophobic.
Cassiopeia walked over and opened up the back doors to the sound of fierce meowing and protesting. ”Yes Arty, yes Fluffy, we are getting out of here. Don’t worry, it’s okay,” she said and stuck her finger in Artemis’s cage where he nudged up against it, bumped it and then bit affectionately. Cassiopeia sighed at Layla’s question and shrugged. ”I don’t know sis. There are many different personalities and many working parts in this whole thing. Who knows how this can go. We at least have one advantage though. We know how to hunt and how to survive in the woods should things go south,” she said and pulled her bags out, along with her personal bow and quiver of arrows. ”And for that, I am grateful,” she said and held her fist up for a fist bump.

Willow Jones

Location: Warehouse
Skills:

Willow watched Merlin when he said if any were willing to help save them, to grab a weapon and get ready. Willow looked back into the box, clutching her jewelry box close and held her breath as she looked everything over again. She spotted a pair of daggers with gold filigree on the handles and pulled them out. She touched the sharp tips for a moment but quickly pulled her hand back, having flashes to Disney’s Sleeping Beauty and the spinning wheel. She shook her head clear and looked for something to hold the daggers. She was much more comfortable with her hand to hand combat although, she had never had to defend herself with it so this was a new experience for her but she figured that having daggers could be a good extension for her reach. And a deadly one. She shuddered at the idea of killing and strapped the daggers to her side.
Willow set her jewelry box aside, taking comfort in the key that was still around her next and faced Merlin again. ”Ready,” she said. Her voice wavered a bit from the nerves but she was ready and determined. If she couldn’t do this, how would she manage a world that was full of potential danger.

"I'll have plenty of fight for my father's old play mate. Excuse me while I catch my breath from healing little miss sunshine and my own body trying to heal itself," he said in annoyance. Ezekiel was also a little annoyed at how Leda seemed to keep saving the day and now he felt pressure to do well with Marsyas so they could get Calliope out. If he screwed up and Leda had to save his ass, he would never hear the end of it.
He looked at Kristin and gave her a nod when she thanked him. Healing was the one thing he truly enjoyed and always felt rewarded and better for it. As Kristin started to feel better, so did Ezekiel. The break in his arm and ribs had healed well, that much Ezekiel could tell as he took in a full breath with no pain and sighed in relief. Broken bones were not a favourite thing of his now.
They started walking the rest of the way to the comedy club, making their way to the door and Ezekiel felt physically one hundred percent better. Leda attempted to open the door to no avail and Ezekiel was half tempted to just knock and be let in. He glanced at the building in front of them, looking for possible escape routes, like windows or fire escapes should the front door not be so readily available while he waited for Kristin to try her hand.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Mutant Friendly Clinic -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Luna started to pout when James said they would not be getting a puppy today, even though she had always wanted one. Luna was about to protest when she got a wave of lightheadedness and the words she was about to say seemed to vanish as her head cleared momentarily. She blinked at the bright clinic lights, registering where they were now before the wave of dizziness hit her. She clutched onto James for a moment, the world coming in and out of focus. Her stomach clenched as she felt an almost motion sickness from her eyes trying to focus and she looked wildly around for a trash can or something to vomit into. She spotted one near a corner and dashed for it before emptying what little contents she had in her stomach. It burned coming out but her stomach kept convulsing even after there was nothing left.
Luna slid to the floor after dry heaving more. She shut her eyes and tilted her head back against the wall. ”America’s not as fun as I last remembered,” she slurred, taking a deep breath after. Her stomach continued to roll a bit but that was at least easing. The heaviness in her chest though was at least manageable. She would have to take more breaths in-between long stretches of speaking. Luna cracked an eye open, tilting her head to look around the clinic. She then glanced around at her companions, wondering how many were infected. She had forgotten when she was in her state of looniness and everything was just starting to come back to her again.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: George Washington University: Lisner Auditorium---> The Street -- Washington D.C.
Skills: Dreamwalking - Induce Sleep

Cayden went out after Veil, following her out into the fray and paused a moment to get his bearings. There was chaos everywhere. Purifiers, cops, students running around and of course mutants. Cayden quickly tied his hair up and smirked when Havok mocked Veil before joining into the fray. He loved fighting with these people. They all took their tasks seriously but they all had good chemistry and re-pore.
Cayden sized up some of the Purifiers wreaking havoc and tried a new skill he had been developing. He focused on two at a time, entering a portion of their minds and induced sleep upon them. Cayden managed to knock out seven unarmed Purifiers and four armed ones. They simply dropped to the ground in the middle of their battle. They weren’t dead but in a deep state of REM sleep. Cayden smiled triumphantly and looked around to see who else he could tackle.
He saw a woman near Veil wielding a sword and widened his eyes. Now that was a neat skill you didn’t see everyday. He jogged over to them, ready to jump onto their team should they need the assistance. ”Now that’s something you don’t see everyday,” he noted.

Location: Houston, Texas ---> RUNNING WITH THE BULLS
Skills: Enhanced Healing; Stamina;

Ezekiel groaned as he took the cube from Kristin and ate it quickly. The pain was something Ezekiel hadn't experienced before, it was dull but intense. He felt as if rolling on the ground would help but it probably wouldn't. He heard a cry and looked over, seeing Kristin had gotten impaled by one of the bull's horn. He managed to push himself to his feet, leaving the fighting to Leda and managed to make it to Kristin's side before he laid hands over her wound and shut his eyes. His hands started to glow, giving off some heat as well as he attempted to heal her. It took some time for Ezekiel to get the bleeding to slow and the skin to knit together but he managed to get her stable and that's all he cared about.
Ezekiel collapsed back on his butt and pulled out nectar from his bag and handed it to Kristin to drink. "That should help you the rest of the way," he said faintly. He was slightly out of breath from his pain and exerting himself with helping Kristin. The ambrosia was helping to dull his pain now though and for that he was grateful.
He didn't know the bull was dead until he head Leda's voice. He rolled his eyes. "Oh ya, just doing swimmingly. Did you kill the bull yet or did you fall asleep?" Ezekiel countered lamely. Clearly pain did not enhance his comeback skills.

”True but you’d be surprised how many people get comfortable with the ease of things. And you should be proud. You may not have seen it but you were bad ass in your first fight,” Ezekiel complimented. He smirked at Kristin and gave her a wink when she half-heartedly complained about his blood. ”Trust me, it wasn’t the plan to be shot twice.” He stuffed the arrow heads into his bag and watched the wound on his leg start to heal. He gave it a few more moments before he pushed himself up and tested his weight on the injured leg.
The girls started to head back to the bus and Ezekiel stuck his tongue out at their backs. ”No no, I’m fine and don’t need a hand.” He gathered his pack, along with his bow and remaining arrows before he hobbled his way onto the bus. He was a bit slow, taking some time to trust his leg again but the nectar was working like a dream.
Ezekiel got back on the bus, taking his former seat with a great sigh and gave Kristin back her bottle of nectar. ”Fun is one word for it. I must admit, it is nice getting the first monster fight out of the way,” he commented.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Pietro & Guin’s Wedding Reception
Skills: Enhanced Intuition;

Antoinette startled a bit when Guin charged forward to attack Magneto. Lance had provided a ball of light that lit up the shadowed parts where Magneto stood, so all could see who he was now. There was venom in Wanda and Pietro’s voices as they addressed their father and Antoinette could hardly blame them. Magneto was not a good guy, there was no other possible way to twist that, especially after using Wanda to remake the world. Everyone around the room seemed to stop parting, even heavily intoxicated Iris who was yelling profanities and they came over to support Guin and Pietro in a show of solidarity.
Antoinette’s eyes started to glow and sparkle as she started to think about the new power she had but she didn’t act on it. Guin was already doing the attacking, as she had every right to but Antoinette just wanted to be around for back up. She glanced over at Cassandra when she joined and Carolina before training her eyes back on Magneto. There was no telling what he would do or what he may have already done, even with Antoinette's enhanced intuition, she couldn't tell what he was truly doing here.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Mutant Friendly Clinic -- Washington D.C.

The last week had been hell, not only for Luna but for the six mutants that had started developing symptoms of this mysterious M-Pox. For Luna, it had started out simply, a bit of a headache and she could never get a full night’s sleep. But everyday after it got worse and worse. Luna didn’t have much of an appetite anymore. Not with the seemingly permanent taste of iron in her mouth from all the vomiting of blood. Luna knew it was bad when she woke up with her pillow soaked from blood coming out of her ears and maybe vomiting in the middle of the night. She didn’t know anymore. She could barely keep her thoughts straight. And being a telepath, that didn’t really help things.
She was leaning heavily against James by the time they walked into the clinic, even though she had started off trying not to. It didn’t take much to tire her out these days. Just simply sitting up from laying down was a struggle. She felt a trickle down the side of her neck and wiped away the blood that was coming from her ears. It seemed to come and go, like a nose bleed.
Luna had never truly feared death but she always thought she would go out in battle. This sickness, it instilled a fear in her and she didn’t want to die. Some nights she woke up crying, calling for James as he seemed to be the only one she found comfort in. That and wanting to call her parents but she couldn’t figure out how to do that. Even though she had a phone and their numbers.
Luna looked around the mutant friendly clinic. Not really realizing where they were. ”Are we here to adopt a puppy? I always wanted a puppy,” she said dreamily.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: George Washington University: Lisner Auditorium -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Cayden was glad to be out of the Mutant Underground, as awful as it was he needed to get out. The people who had developed M-Pox had hit Cayden hard over the week. Their symptoms were getting worse and there was nothing that any of them could truly do. Sapphire and James had been exhausting all of their resources but for nothing really and it was hard to see the defeat and sadness in James when he couldn’t help.
Cayden sat in one of the desks, writing away as the speakers spoke. He wanted to write down what they were saying so he could remember it for later. It also helped to keep him distracted and not from standing and expressing his outrage. A cure for the X-gene. How could they even call it a cure. It made Cayden think cynically on how the Euopeans would have felt if there had been a cure for the “savage natives” they all hated so much. Then again, hard alcohol and European disease seemed to be the cure they preferred. That and watching them kill each other for territory and stay on the White Man’s good side so they themselves didn’t get slaughtered. All though it never worked out that way.
Cayden listened closely when the conversation switched to M-Pox, scribbling down what he could but it was more just him writing down the constant, “no, I’m right” gibberish that the speakers were going back and forth on. The Extremis that Dr. Hansen was pushing to be released, claiming that it would make people effectively immortal, confused Cayden. Aside from this M-Pox affecting just the mutants, being a mutant was an advancement to humans. A jump to being immortal. Was it because this X-Gene developed on it’s own the reason why it wasn’t okay? But this Extremis would be?
Sapphire stood and Cayden watched her approach the microphone, thankful for the distraction from his thoughts and listened to her until an alarm went off. Cayden stopped and looked around the auditorium, looking for the source and maybe someone trying to quickly get away. ”So I guess that’s the end of that fascinating conversation,” Cayden noted. He folded up his notes and tucked them away before standing. He ran a hand through his hair and watched the speakers.
