Ezekiel fiddled with his bracelet when Kristin started to list off the different food locations in the area. Now that he brought the girl up, he couldn’t seem to stop thinking about her. How she looked into his eyes, fears and desperation there it seemed. How her knee pressed against his and how her hair fell. He still couldn’t get around the fact of how desperate she was to keep him safe. Who was she?
Ezekiel’s stomach growled and he came back to reality, looking at the two girls. ”Chick-Fil-A sounds good, we could check out the capitol building too, it’s only a few blocks from here,” Ezekiel said and turned around. He stopped, the colour seeming to drain from his face for a moment. ”How do you feel about scorpion instead?” Ezekiel shifted, pulling his bow around and grabbed a couple of arrows, placing two on the string. Just a few feet away from the three demi-gods stood a giant pit scorpion, who probably hadn’t stabbed anything in awhile.
”Well, can’t say D.C. is boring on the monster front,” Ezekiel noted and took aim. Both arrows fired off. The first sailed over it but the other made its mark and with an ear splitting howl, the creature fell down and didn’t rise again. Ezekiel cocked his head to the side, feeling tempted to poke it with a stick. ”Well, that was anticlimactic. Should I burn it and then we could have roasted scorpion,” Ezekiel joked.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Trails -- Wichita, Kansas
Skills:

Cassiopeia looked over, seeing Rose and smirked. ”I should have known you would have been involved with this somehow,” she teased her, walking over to stand with Rose. ”So magical parents too huh? Unfortunately not on me. We might have brought an extra but it would be back in the warehouse so I guess you’re just going to have to trust me,” Cassiopeia said and notched an arrow into her bow.
She had always had a bit of a crush on Rose. Other than Layla, Rose was the only one who could go toe to toe with Cassiopeia in conversation and with a bow.
Cassiopeia turned her attention to the two chasers and eyed them up. She didn’t look like scary Maleficent but she supposed none of this was going to be like a Disney movie. She saw something shimmer and noticed a shield had been created to protect them. She looked back at Merlin. ”Alright there Harry Potter,” she noted and looked back at Maleficent as she spoke. Cassiopeia frowned. ”And what is your proof of that notion,” Cassiopeia boldly asked.

Willow Jones

Location: Trails -- Wichita, Kansas
Skills:

Willow hurried over to Sierra’s side. ”You okay? What happened?” She was incredibly aware of how close she was standing to Sierra and took a small step back before looking at Pandora and Maleficent and glared at them. Willow hardly noticed the dome that covered them as she was too focused on the villains standing feet from them. ”Merlin brought us here for our safety. He didn’t kidnap us,” Willow said fiercely. Her mother said to trust Merlin and she knew in her gut to trust her mother and Merlin. Even if she had never met her biological mother.
She gripped the knife tightly in her hand as she watched the two on the other side of the protective shield. In the Disney films, Maleficent was the one who cursed her mother, although in the newer adaptations, she was more of a tough love figure. Willow never liked Maleficent and so wasn’t about to trust her over Merlin. Especially when they were just chasing her friends.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Mutant Friendly Clinic -- Washington D.C.
Skills: Telepathy - Binding

Luna glared slightly at James as he started dictating to her and she clenched her fists, holding back a retort. James was her friend, the closest one she had here and he was panicking. How many people had he witnessed die, Luna included. She looked back at the door just when the explosion hit and she flinched from that and the following gunshots. Jack had gone in just before the explosion and after the gun shots, another couple went off and she hoped it was him who had slugged someone and picked up a gun.
She looked back but James was already heading out the door towards the car. She cursed, torn between two things and decided to dive back into her head and the heads of the others in the hallway that she couldn’t see.
She easily got a headcount on the Purifiers and there were eight in total but she couldn’t get a headcount on the Underground team which aggravated her. She tried concentrating more and felt Max’s mind reaching out before she heard his words. Luna turned, moving closer to James. ”Eight Purifiers but Sunshine is injured badly according to Max. I can’t get a headcount on the Underground members,” Luna confessed.
Luna moved back towards the door that led to the hallway and shut her eyes again. She focused on the eight Purifiers, entering their minds once more in an attempt to bind them in place. She succeeded easily and Luna smirked, pleased her power didn’t fail her. As much as people didn’t like her power it came in handy.
”I’ve bound the Purifiers in place. Can I go in and drag people out now or would you like the honors,” she asked James. She knew Casper wasn’t doing well but one of them should go in there just in case all those shots that went off were more hits on their team.
Ezekiel Kel

Location: Comedy Club - Houston, Texas
Skills:

Ezekiel tried not to look nervous or worried when Marsyas challenged him to a dance off. How the hell was he supposed to manage a dance off? His father was a god of poetry and music, not dancing. He plastered a grin on his face, hoping to fake it until he made it. [i]Dad, seriously if you can hear this Apollo, some help would be greatly appreciated with beating this guys ass. He opened his mouth to answer when Leda spoke up, supposedly helping. He looked over at her, annoyed. "Hey!" he protested, growing annoyed with her insults and downers. He handled that baby cyclops just fine, she knows that. Oh wait. Ezekiel crossed his arms in annoyance but understood what Leda was doing now. The gods after all were vain, why wouldn't their creatures be the same and prone to praise.
"They do say a dancer is only as good as their audience cheering," he noted and looked back at Marsyas. "What harm could it do? Not even my companions think I will win." He shot Leda a look for good measure and that was not faked at all.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Pietro & Guin’s Wedding Reception
Skills:

Antoinette’s eyes sparkled a little when Elizabeth spoke to her, knowing her name and smiled. ”We all have moments. But you were trying to help someone whom you’ve just started to get to know, that’s pretty brave,” she noted. Antoinette looked back at the pinata, watching Pietro, Guin and a couple other people gather around it. She smiled when she noticed Pietro was amused by it. ”Thank you. I learned how to make my illusions more solid from Allison. She’s around here somewhere,” Antoinette noted.
She smiled softly at Elizabeth again, gesturing for her to join her as she walked closer to watch Pietro and Guin hit the pinata together. She laughed and cheered, clapping as the Magneto pinata exploded from the hit and candy went everywhere. She cheered again when the happily married couple kissed after their victory. It was well deserved and Antoinette thought it was much more fitting for them than cutting a cake. Although she was sure a cake fight between those two or maybe all of them would ensue if they got to that point.
She looked over at the others who had drifted to go and play a card game by the looks of it. ”Should we go join? Or perhaps a drink to help settle the nerves from Magneto showing,” she suggested, looking back to Elizabeth.

Ezekiel frowned a little when Kristin asked him to be more specific but he just shrugged and looked away. ”Not a big deal,” he said. He didn’t want to get into any more details and he certainly could. Ezekiel decided to just settle into his seat, chiming in here and there about his previous quest with Kristin while they headed down the road.
It was pretty uneventful the rest of the trip into D.C. for which Ezekiel was not upset about. They disembarked in D.C. and Ezekiel stretched himself out before he looked at Kristin and nodded. ”I could go for some food, hopefully we can eat before we run into anything that wants to eat us,” he noted. ”Anything you are in the mood for Janelle? We have the classic yet always satisfying vending machines or we could find something with more substance,” he offered, a grin on his face and in his voice.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Mutant Friendly Clinic -- Washington D.C.
Skills: Telepathy;

Spark Plug seemed to come around a bit and for that, Luna was grateful. They needed everyone they could to get out of this. Luna paused a moment when she heard the gunshots go off and she looked at James and the others. It was like herding cats. Everyone was going through different stages of M-Pox and Jack had declined, zig-zagging out of the room and away from the Doctor.
Luna was hesitant to go after him. She was feeling better, for the moment but that could change in a hurry the way this was going. No one really understood this disease other than it attacked mutants.
Callie had also gone out into the hallway, after leaving Luna’s side and she actually did seem to be a bit more coherent but she had left before Jack did and another gun shot just went off. Luna retreated into her mind for a moment, doing a quick head count and breathed out. ”None of ours are dead,” she said to James, Max and Casper. ”Can you three make it to the car? I’ll see if the others need help making it back,” she said.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Outside Warehouse ---> Portal ---> Trails -- Wichita, Kansas
Skills:

Cassiopeia laughed a little and smiled when Layla said they might have to teach them. ”If they want it,” she said and closed up the Jeep once they had everything. They headed back into the Warehouse and Cassiopeia set her bags and cat carrier down just as Merlin opened up a portal, speaking about a couple of people who were in trouble. Cassiopeia kept hold of her bow and looked over at her sister and gave her a side hug in return before they walked through.
On the other side they were along some of the trails. Cassiopeia knew the area well. It was a well known hiking spot but sometimes Cassiopeia led her hunts down these trails before they split off into the backcountry, out of the way of civilians. They seemed to come just in time, seeing a couple girls around their age charging their way with another couple of women chasing after them. Cassiopeia looked over at Merlin, wondering exactly what he expected them to do. Cassiopeia hadn’t fired her bow at a person before and even though she had harmed a foster parent before, it had been because she was fed up with the abuse and she had been incredibly angry. And right now, Cassiopeia didn’t think she could fire an arrow.

Willow Jones

Location: Warehouse

The portal opened up and Willow took a moment, stealing some courage for her friends before she stepped through. It was still an unknown world that she was apparently from. Full of magic and wonder but also full of danger. She shut her eyes as she walked into the portal and didn’t open them again until she heard running on dirt. When she opened her eyes, she saw Sierra and Rose running towards them, followed by a couple other people she hadn’t seen before. Near the group there were a few other people. One was the girl Willow had seen in the park when they first met Merlin and the others she didn’t recognize.
Willow looked back towards Rose and Sierra running. ”Sierra! They are right behind you!” Willow stepped forward, not entirely sure what she should do. Willow didn’t have anything to throw, except her daggers which she had never used before and she could quite possibly hit Sierra or Rose. She decided words were her best option at the moment. ”Stay back,” she yelled at the pursuers. ”You’re outnumbered!”

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Pietro & Guin’s Wedding Reception
Skills: Illusion Casting;

Antoinette smiled as Magneto gave and left them in relative peace. Now they just had to recover from the minor setback. The wolves Antoinette had created relaxed and nudged up against Guin before they disappeared. Antoinette moved away, giving Pietro and Guin their space and went to Elizabeth who had been flung back by Magneto. She bent down and helped Elizabeth. ”Are you okay?”
She stood with Elizabeth, listening to Guin wishing for something to hit like a pinata or expressing her interest in watching people trying to lift Thor’s hammer. Antoinette thought for a moment before once again her purple eye started to glow. She pictured the pinata in her mind, a giant head of Magneto filled with candy and other goodies. It took some serious concentration but soon there was a solid pinata full of goodies for Guin to hit. ”Make it count,” Antoinette said with a smile.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Mutant Friendly Clinic -- Washington D.C.

Sitting on the floor, Luna actually seemed to start getting better. The nausea eased and the bleeding stopped. She glanced at her hands and arms, seeing the blochiness come back and realized that her symptoms had progressed back to the beginning but who knew how long that would last for. Especially with Casper and Max going back and forth about their brand of kink. She would think Casper to be suffering from looniness but it was simply Casper, Max on the other hand, Luna was having a hard time adjusting with him being back after everything.
Luna looked over, hearing Sunshine open the door and watched as she was yanked back and the panic increased. Someone had broken into the clinic and was now throwing tear gas and who knows what else into the building.
Luna managed to push herself up, only suffering a minor headache at the moment and looked at Spark Plug when she started to go off on Max, not sounding like herself. She pushed through the fatigue, something she had been feeling for days and weeks before M-Pox even hit her and grabbed Callie so James didn’t have to haul her around as well as the meds. ”Come along superstar,” she said and supported Callie out towards the emergency exit of the building. She looked at James as they started to make their escape. ”Can you drive?” Luna could try but as she was one of the worst ones on arrival, she wasn’t sure if she would be the most stable option but it seemed everyone’s symptoms were changing rapidly.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: George Washington University: The Street -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Cayden was still smiles despite the chaos going on around him. There was a part of him that enjoyed the fighting and the exhilarating feeling, even though there was so much hate and pain from the Purifiers and those attacking him and the other mutants. The girl with the sword was a pretty badass fighter and Veil was doing her thing with grace and ease.
He turned his head when he heard the gunshot go off, watching Echo miss it before another one went off and he felt the hit. Everything seemed to slow down as Cayden slowly turned his head and then felt the warmth sliding down the side of his neck and started soaking into his shirt. He opened his mouth and closed it repeatedly, trying to speak but the only thing that came out was blood dribbling down the side of his mouth. He lifted his hand to the wound in the side of his neck and pushed with as much pressure as he could but he wasn’t sure it was enough. He was in quite a bit of shock as he dropped to his knees, watching Sapphire running over to him.
His vision faded for a moment and a memory popped into his head. His grandmother was standing on the deck, candles burned all around them and the night sky was clear, showcasing a million stars that Cayden tried to look at and give name to them all.
”Normally my little Tł'é'gona'áí, we would sit under the great mountain and have his shadow and those of the ancestors tell their story but we will stay here tonight, with the great mountain in the distance,” his grandmother said. His grandmother had always had a way with words and as an elder of their tribe and a healer, it was her duty to pass on knowledge. She used herbs to scent the air and painted the night sky with fire from a smoldering stick, always telling the story of the mountain and their people before she taught him more names of the stars and the mountain dance. As the sole caregiver for Cayden, it was her duty to teach him everything he would need to know to become a man and to become a healer in his own way.
Cayden’s eyes fluttered as he felt an intense cold and then panicked words. He opened his eyes to feel pressure from someone else's hands and Sapphire was staring down at him, telling him not to move. His hand shifted and he felt the freezing of his neck. Sluggishly, he understood that he had no mobility in his neck at the moment. He rested his hand on Sapphire’s arm and squeezed it lightly, giving her a lazy smile. His eyes shifted as he tried to look around him and saw Waverley standing guard over them. How much fighting was still going on around them. He looked back at Sapphire, trying to ask her with a look from his eyes but he was sure he just looked dim.
