Janelle didn’t need much direction as she managed to make the first kill. Ezekiel didn’t bother her anymore, knowing instincts would take over and if she got hurt, he would be there to help her after the battle was won. Ezekiel mimed Kristin’s words when she spoke back to him sarcastically. ”Use your weapons sunshine, not your mouth,” Ezekiel stated.
The Telekines tried to throw things as them but he and Janelle managed to dodge them all before Ezekiel moved in to attack again. He swung towards one, aiming to slice off their head like Kristin had just done for her kill. Ezekiel succeeded in making a smooth kill and he grinned. ”Alright ladies, there’s a three way tie so far. Who’s gonna break it?” Ezekiel, still grinning went and aimed up his next shot to disarm a Telekine but he missed. ”Well, it wouldn’t be a true fight if I didn’t make an ass out of myself.” Ezekiel moved to recover though and disarmed the Telekine on his second try.

”Not exactly as easy as taking an engine apart,” Luna responded to Veil. Sweat started to break out on Luna’s head as she fought Jack back to keep penetrating his mind and taking out the false memories. What she was doing was heavy stuff, things her Aunt had years of practice with but Luna had never really dappled with false memories, let alone reversing them. While Jack continued to fight off the others, including Veil’s shields, Luna focused all her intention on Jack, using his split mind to try and get in just that bit more so she could return him to the normal crazy that he was, not insane.
Luna used that engine analogy though and went through his head like she would an engine, taking one part at a time, cleaning it and then replacing it. It wasn’t exactly quick work unless Veil wanted to deal with Jack’s mind being fried and Luna particularly didn’t want to deal with the aftereffects of that.
It took her time but Luna did it. The slightly lower temperature in the garage thanks to Sapphire helped to keep Luna’s sweat at bay but she ended up taking a knee from how drained she was from all the power she used. With the lack of sleep over the last few days from her fluctuating M-Pox symptoms, to say Luna was played out would be an understatement.
”We should be all clear,” Luna said and swallowed. ”I think I could use some water now.” She pushed herself back up to her feet but waited for the official all clear from Veil.

It seemed that Ed wouldn’t be able to do the tracking on his own, even though he created a small shield above their heads. Antoinette watched the glow a moment, thinking how pretty the colour was before Bethany’s voice snapped her out of her daydream. With Bethany always teasing her and Carolina, Antoinette was a bit surprised Bethany asked for help but Antoinette was glad to help all the same.
”Of course Bethany,” she smiled. Antoinette sat on the arm of the couch with her supplies while Bethany sat on the couch cushions. She got the antiseptic ready to clean the wounds while Guin made the phone call to her dad. Hearing that Loki was within New York wasn’t surprising to Antoinette. All the major show downs seemed to happen within New York. She was amazed at how resilient that city was becoming and how quickly they could now recover.
”There, that should about do it,” Antoinette said as she finished bandaging up Bethany. She managed to treat all of Bethany’s cuts, scrapes and simple wounds so that they would no longer be a problem.

Cassiopeia watched Hansel and Gretel, figuring they would be the leaders on this outfit and would have to defer to their judgement. From how they had killed their captor when they were children, Cassiopeia was alright with them leading. Besides, with Layla and Rose by her side and their combined knowledge of hunting, stealth and other skills, Cassiopeia was confident they could get the job done.
”Let’s go save Red from the big bad wolf,” Cassiopeia replied and sipped her drink. The drink tasted just like beer from Earth. Cassiopeia wasn’t a huge fan of beer to begin with but there was something about this journey and this world that called for beer.

Willow Jones

With what was being suggested for the distraction team, Willow wasn’t sure she would be of much help. Maybe she could set charges for an explosion but maybe they wouldn’t need that with Merlin being the greatest Wizard of all time leading them. She figured he would tell them what they needed to do as they prepared to set up the distraction, so for now she didn’t have any questions.
Willow ended up declining a drink as well and just sat there in silence, thinking of all the things that were about to happen and that could go wrong when Sierra sat next to her. She would be going with the rescue team and that made Willow a little nervous. Willow had been attached to Sierra since they embarked on this journey. She was the only friend she had over here since Annabella decided not to come. ”Are you nervous?” she asked Sierra.

”Okay, so there’s barking now? Whatever,” Ezekiel stated. He was slow to react as the Telekines started to attack them, hitting Ezekiel with a wrench to the head. Ezekiel fell back and groaned, hand going to his head. There was a ringing in his ears and pounding in his head now from him, which succeeded in pissing him off. ”Alright, now I’m not having fun.” Ezekiel stood, pulling out his key chain and pressed the button so his Murakumo sword appeared. He swung it around and went after the barking Telekine that had thrown the wrench at him, who conveniently just threw one at Kristin as well.
He succeeded in disarming the monster and Ezekiel turned his skill to swinging the sword forward to impale the Telekine’s heart in hopes of killing it. There were only two ways to kill one, in the heart of the head. With his first swing, Ezekiel missed but he stepped back and quickly went into position to take another shot.
”Try to aim for the heart or head, Janelle instincts should take over but if not, swing at anything that barks at you.” Kristin didn’t have to be the only know it all on this trip.

Cassiopeia looked at Matthew, startled by his approach and his offer. She smirked a little though when he mentioned lunch. That was the first time the four of them had met after all. ”Best Chinese in town,” she declared and took the offered meal from him. She wasn't sure the entire incident was behind them but they had made it this far despite what Colby did and they were about to embark on a true dangerous mission where a lot of risk would be involved. It made more sense to be on the same side with everyone than at each other's throats. ”Thank you Matt.” She took off a couple pieces before handing the rest off to her sister.
There was a bombardment of questions and Cassiopeia listened while she munched on the food, her stomach thanking her as it prepared to receive sustenance. ”I’d like to be on the rescue team,” Cassiopeia stated and glanced at Rose. She knew there was no way Rose would sit out rescuing her long-lost mother. ”Oh, I would also enjoy a drink.” She wandered over to Hansel to receive her own mug.

Willow found a chair and took a seat. She sighed, crossing her arms and thought a little about the situation they were in. Willow had some fighting skill, having been in kickboxing for several years but she had never actually used the skills in a real fight. Still, she thought she would be a better part of the distraction team, even if that did sound riskier. The idea of the sewers still was not appealing to her but she didn’t have much choice.
”I guess I’ll sign up to be on the distraction team,” Willow volunteered. She was a little hesitant to take a drink. She didn’t think they had vodka here and Willow was much of a drinker on her worst day anyways. Willow remained silent while others asked for a drink.

The gameboard was quickly found thanks to Runa and with Bethany’s help, they secured it and gave it to Edus. Antoinette turned her attention to the vines, to keep her partner protected while he rolled for them. It happened quickly, Ed called out Jumanji and they were all transported out of the hangar and into the living room. Antoinette looked around carefully, wanting to make sure they were truly done with the game. She let out a relieved sigh and collapsed onto a couch as well. She sucked in a bit of a breath though and looked at her arms and sides where she had various cuts from the monkeys’ and sore spots from the vines grabbing her.
Antoinette glanced around at the others, seeing the portal open and Runa returned with Klara. She looked to Lance and smiled a little. At least he had Runa; hopefully, Lance would come around again. Antoinette poked a couple spots on her body before she stood to get a first aid kit. Overall, Antoinette was okay and didn’t need the healing from Klara. Antoinette wanted to make sure Klara could help Mary, Edus and the others who were more severely injured.
Antoinette managed to find herself a first aid kit and set about cleaning her cuts and bandaging them up. She managed to get and partially bandaged up her wounds. Hopefully, it would at least protect her from getting an infection.
”If anyone has simple cuts and scrapes that don’t need immediate attention, I could bandage them up for you,” Antoinette offered, looking around the room at those who weren’t in a medical emergency.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Luna watched Spark Plug after she greeted them and then she got sick over herself. Luna winched a bit, watching it and thought back to that sensation of it happening to her repeatedly. She looked away, feeling bad for her but there was nothing that could be done on her end. She watched Jack and he watched her, seeming to be in deep concentration before he shifted. Luna saw his hand raise but didn’t anticipate being punched in the face. There was a loud crack that echoed through her head and she fell back and cried out, feeling the pain from the break in her nose. ”What the bloody hell Jack!? You’re completely off your trolly!” Luna glared at him, blood running down her face from her broken nose.
She got back to her feet and saw Waverley out on the ground as well. She concentrated on Jack before speaking. ”You do realize that your father is doing this to you right?” Luna may not be every one’s favourite person but she was doing what she was asked. ”I can get back into his mind and try to push his father out but he’s much stronger than I am and he’s clearly cemented himself into Jack’s mind,” Luna said to Veil; although, she was still glaring at Jack. What happened next though made Luna laugh in pain but she didn’t care.
Echo stepped up in a rage, hitting one of his clones by accident before he gave Jack a unique hair cut. Luna smirked in amusement before wincing in pain. She shut her eyes and breathed out before setting her nose. A shock of pain rolled through her body but she managed to stay standing. The broken nose hadn’t helped her headache though.
Veil spoke up and Luna listened closely as she asked Luna to push and for the rest to leave the room. Luna turned her focus to Jack and entered his mind with a little less care and tried to bind him but he pushed her back out. Luna set her feet and skipped to the rougher edges and pushed into his memories of Sinister and started to unravel the first memory he had implanted into his son. Luna liked Jack, despite him being mind fucked by his daddy. They only had one real conversation but it had been a good conversation. ”You’ll thank me for this later,” Luna stated as she worked.

Ezekiel stuck his tongue out at Kristin. ”Yes, but there is probably a bus station or a vehicle we can steal West as well smart ass.” Suddenly the heavens opened up and they hurried under an awning, Ezekiel moving as fast as Janelle could keep up without being jostled around too much. A moment later, Kristin led them into a store and he looked around for umbrellas that they could purchase. They couldn’t wait out the rain. Sometimes the rain here took forever to pass.
As Ezekiel looked around he spotted a group of some sort of half wolf half human creatures that looked none too friendly. ”We have company,” Ezekiel said nudging Kristin. Telekines. Picture a wolf face on a human body. Long nose, tall pointed ears and a human body, two arms, two legs. Sea demons I believe that like metal work,” Ezekiel roughly explained to Janelle. He slipped his free hand into his pocket and held onto the sun keychain that sat there, hiding his sword.

There was nothing in this world that wasn’t done without the element of risk and with Sapphire’s words, Luna was just going to have to bite the bullet and do it. She was still feeling okay so with the encouragement from Echo who barely knew her, Luna knelt and set her hand over the entry point and shut her eyes. It was a bit of a weird sensation, having to locate the piece of metal like she herself was Magneto or James being able to sense the body and how it worked but miracle upon miracle, she was able to do it. The metal came out of Echo and plopped into Luna’s hand. She examined it closely before she gave it to Echo, a memento of sorts if he wanted to keep it.
Luna looked at Sapphire when she mentioned going to look for Veil. Veil had messaged James telling him that she needed Luna when they returned and so she figured she would go with Sapphire to find Veil as well.
”I’ll come with you,” she said to Sapphire and stood. She made ready to follow but paused a moment and looked back at James and Echo. Echo started to get up a bit shakily but his clones helped him and then he was gone, leaving her and James. Luna went over and sat on the ground a moment and hugged James. It was a bit awkward with him laying on the ground but she didn’t much care.
”Time to take care of yourself. Don’t make me play nurse. I don’t think I have the same delicate touch as you,” she joked with her friend before she stood and left.
Luna walked slowly, seeming to think she was going to get weaker at any moment. The virus had really messed with her psyche and Luna didn’t know how long her upswing was going to last. She eventually entered the Underground and found Veil with the away team and Sapphire and Echo.
”Right here, what is it you need, boss?” Luna asked and looked over the others.

"I need you to do a psi-scan of Jack. Look for any evidence of mind control, telepaths, whatever. Emma Frost may have been controlling him."

Luna looked over at Jack curiously, wondering what he had gotten himself into. It probably had something to do with Waverley freaking out earlier, saying that Jack had kidnapped his daughter. Which, Sunshine wasn’t anywhere to be seen. Max either. Luna had more questions now than answers but she knew if Veil was asking something of her it was to be done now, not after a Q and A.
Luna turned and faced Jack. ”It will be more comfortable if you stay relaxed,” she told him. He looked normal so hopefully he wasn’t under any mind control currently and could make her way within his head. She shut her eyes, concentrating on Jack and lifted her hand once she was centered and ready. She still had a dull headache from the M-Pox but it was easier to ignore compared to bleeding from the ears and not being able to focus on anything.
She was able to connect with Jack easily enough and found evidence of mind tempering but not from who Veil thought. Luna broke the connection smoothly, dropping her hand and looked at Jack curiously, remembering their time back at the Cherry Bomb where they first discovered Mister Sinister and Jack’s past.
”Well, his mind has been tampered with but not by Frost. It was by Mister Sinister back in September,” Luna revealed.
