Antoinette nodded along with what Lance and Guin were saying. They were all in agreement that they likely weren’t on the timeline they just left. Whether that was present, past or a whole other reality was yet to be determined. Antoinette started to wander around the alleyway and peek back into the dumpster, looking for something that might tell them what day it was.
Antoinette was relieved to hear that Guin had contact with Pietro. ”That’s good. We can try and regroup with them.” At least they were all in the same relative area, hopefully Bethany, Edus and Mary as well. Antoinette found an old newspaper and looked it over to find the date. ”Well, this newspaper is a few weeks old I think but the year is current to our year.” She looked away from the paper and down the alleyway. ”Strange.” And Antoinette had a love for all things strange.
As she was looking down the alleyway, someone turned the corner and started running straight for them and right past. Clearly they hadn’t noticed the trio standing there. Antoinette looked back at the paper and then snapped her head up when Guin cried out. Antoinette dropped the paper and hurried to Guin’s side. She confirmed they were in another reality which would explain the similar dates on the newspaper but just not their dates.
”I have nothing. Maybe we should go to Stark Tower,” Antoinette suggested. ”What did you see, Guin?”

Before they left Asgard, Antoinette was happy knowing that the Kaiju she had fought against had healed up nicely and been relocated to a new planet. Antoinette had thanked Klara several times for her help and generosity. Antoiette thought of the creature often, thinking of her pet tribble, Arnold. She was slightly glad he wasn’t around at the moment. Arnold didn’t move around much like Guin’s pet. He likely would have been squished by now.

Antoinette didn’t mind being back on the ship again. Their task was simple enough; altering Asgard to the space and time riffs that they came across so they could be fixed. It amazed Antoinette that something happening somewhere else could affect so many different things. She was currently sitting in the back of the ship, looking over her new paint set. She had been gifted it when they were on Asgard. She was told that anything she painted with these would pop off the page in a 2D image. She thought it was fitting for her illusion casting ability and was debating what she should paint first when it happened.
The space around her seemed to shrink and then snap. She was falling, then hitting hard ground. Antoinette grumbled in pain before she pushed herself up onto her knees and sat back. Antoinette rubbed her head, wondering how many more head injuries she could really sustain. One thing was apparent though, they weren’t in space anymore.

Antoinette heard Lance’s voice and then Guin’s echoing around the dumpster the three of them landed in. She pushed herself up, grabbing onto the edge of the garbage bin and looked around but didn’t see anyone else. Despite the moment, Antoinette had to smile a little. The two people she had been closer to at the beginning of her time with the X-Men but had drifted from since, were now the two people she was with. She wondered mildly if the universe was trying to say something.
Antoinette pulled herself out of the bin and landed on the ground and wiped off her hands and knees. Guin was right, it was oddly quiet for New York City. They could see Stark Tower in the distance and were in an alleyway but still; there should be horns honking and people shouting.
”Whatever we went through, must be responsible for sending us here. Do you think it was one of those space riffs? Maybe this isn’t even our New York…” Antoinette and the others were no strangers to other realities so, it was highly possible, especially if they did go through a rift in space. The question now was, where were the others? ”Guin, can you hear Pietro?” If she had a connection with him, that surely would mean they were close.

Luckily, Rose and Rosalia both had knives and managed to cut themselves free. Cassi saw Red run to Rose so she redirected to Rosalia. She stood beside her, watching the others and for an incoming attack.
”You okay?” Rosalia was standing and looked fine but you could never be too sure. Cassiopeia had been trained in wilderness survival so her instincts kind of took over, even though she wasn’t trying to survive the wilds of Kansas. Thankfully, there were no enemies in their relative vicinity, including Rose and her mom. So, Cassi started looking around for a place they could take cover or hide out, especially for Rose since she was injured. Cassi took note of the tents and pointed.
”We should take some cover, especially you Rose, until all this is over.” Cassiopeia was itching to get back and fight but she also wanted to protect. But just as Cass was ramping up to serve and protect, Merlin pretty much ended it.

Robin Hood and the others started rounding up some prisoners before Layla, Robin and Rapunzel came over to check on them, followed shortly by Merlin who went to tend to Rose. Rapunzel checked on her daughter and Cassiopeia shuffled over a couple steps, not wanting to be in the way. She looked at Robin when he asked if she was okay. She shrugged a little but nodded. Robin looked fine, minus a few scraps and bruises here and there.
”Physically, fit as a fiddle. Mentally? I don’t know how you do this.” Her eyes wandered to some of the enemies being dragged off, a few she recognized had her arrows in them and she looked at the ground.

Willow nodded and followed her mother out of the building into the back alley. She was reminded of where she was when they stepped outside into the desert heat. It was amazing how the clay buildings kept everything relatively cool inside.
Willow helped her mom dump the shards into the dumpsters when something shining caught her eye. Willow stepped over to the side of the dumpster and bent down to pick up the item. She revealed a dagger with a beautiful hilt and shining blade. Willow twirled it around a little before looking at her mom and grinned.
”Merlin helped equip us before we started looking for you. I took knives but I’ve never really used them… I took kickboxing for self defense and that helped me be a bit more flexible but I’ve never had to use it before. Have you… have you ever needed to protect yourself or kill someone?” Willow stared at the blade as she asked her mother these questions. She didn’t think it would make her think differently of her mother but it might cement the idea of how dangerous this place really was. She had already gotten an idea back when they first entered this world and had to break people out of jail.
Hey there, I'd be interested in your historical Regency, supernatural or crime.

The muffled hearing was still bothering Zeke when Demetri started to talk. Ezekiel stared at Demetri with a frown. He thought Demetri might be messing with him but Zeke stared at the demi-god's lips and was able to determine that he was in fact saying words. So, why the hell couldn’t Zeke hear? Was this some sort of after effect of Nancy’s projected yelling earlier?
Ezekiel looked around, still seeing half the camp around the fire but they were slowly moving on. Ezekiel decided to sit down next to Demetri. He leaned forward on his arms, staring at the dying fire a moment before looking at Demetri.
”Are you okay? I didn’t mean to just run off well, I did. I couldn’t be around Nancy anymore and I was just pissed over the whole situation. Look Dem, I’m sorry. I don’t know where to go from here. Everyone is saying I was possessed and it wasn’t me but those are my hands imprinted on your neck. I can’t just unsee that,” Ezekiel said. He looked away, staring intently at the fire as the guilt consumed him. He started tapping his fingers on his leg again to an unheard beat before he shifted his feet and stood, feeling agitated. He sniffed and rubbed a hand under his nose, before facing Demetri.
”Look, I don’t expect you to forgive me, I sure as hell don’t but I just want to make sure you’re okay. Andy and Arthur are leaving, I can guess how that may be making you feel on top of almost dying today.”

Riders suddenly joined the fray of ground fighters. They started throwing nets over people and Cassiopeia’s eyes widened. What the hell was going on here that they suddenly wanted captives? Cassiopeia’s heart kicked into overdrive as she started to become more fearful of what the had all just walked into.
Cassi didn’t notice her father getting shot but she did see the nets falling over Rosalia and Rose, capturing them and being dragged.
”Rose!” Cassiopeia turned and aimed an arrow for the rider. He fell from the horse when she hit him but the horse kept going. Cassiopeia cursed and turned to face the one taking Rosalia. She could aim for the net but that was a rather small target and she would likely hit her companions before breaking the net open.
Cassiopeia fired an arrow but missed the one taking Rosalia, she didn’t give herself time to be angry about it and fired off another arrow. She knocked the rider off but he was still alive as well. The horse continued to run but Cassi saw that as less of a problem. She slipped her bow across her back and started running.

The Mad Hatter assured the group that this was a routine thing. That didn’t bring Willow a lot of comfort and when they walked upstairs to see the damage done, it certainly didn’t help. Willow walked over to her mother and bent down to see if she needed any help. Willow looked around to try and find a box or something to put the shards in. She didn’t find much beyond another small dustpan in the corner of the room. Willow stood back up and walked over to bring it to her mother.
”Here…mom. I can take that one. Do you just want me to toss it outside?” She didn’t think they had much of a waste disposal service like they did back in the modern world. Willow glanced over at the boys while they talked and saw Matthew wander over to a deck of cards on a table.

The creature was gearing up again to attack Antoinette and she was prepared but she wasn’t prepared for this type of attack. The Kaiju picked her up and hugged Antoinette. She froze, completely shocked until she heard the familiar voice of Klara. Antoinette immediately hugged the creature back and apologized for hurting its feet and damaging its eye.
”I’m sure you understand why,” she said. Antoinette knew Klara was responsible for calming the creature but now she wondered if the Kaiju’s were really this gentle. The creature set Antoinette down again before sitting. She patted the creature’s foot before walking over to the others.
”Is there any way we can heal the Kaiju?” She looked to Klara, hoping for a positive answer.

Ezekiel rose an eyebrow, looking back at Demetri when he called him out for staring. He smirked a little as he looked back. He lifted his hand, covering the side that was closer to Janelle so his calling back would be muffled and hopefully, not irritate her enhanced hearing.
”The camera would break before I even got it into focus,” he responded. He dropped his hand and looked back at Janelle when she responded to him. She claimed to be fine but that was fluid, Zeke thought. Ezekiel knew she would be okay but was she truly okay right now? Janelle had gone on the first quest that had separated the twins months ago but now Jason was going. Janelle had busy enough then trying to stay alive but Jason had probably thought of her often. Now it would be reversed.
Kristin pulled him from his thoughts before he could respond and be supportive of Janelle. He felt his face go cold and warm all within seconds of each other. He couldn’t help but look back at Demetri. He wanted to curse Demetri, Kristin and Athena all at once but didn’t. Instead, he sighed and ran a hand through his hair and over the back of his neck. He pinched his neck with his hand and shrugged before dropping his hand.
”It’s complicated,” he said lamely. Chiron dismissed the campers from the fire and Zeke stood. ”I should go talk to him.” He looked at Janelle and boldly leaned down. Ezekiel kissed her cheek before he stepped away.
”If you need a friend to talk to or just someone to hang out with, come find me,” he told Janelle before looking at Kristin. ”Maybe we can talk sometime too Kris.” He said goodnight to both of them before leaving and walked towards Demetri.
He stopped a couple of feet away and shoved his hands into his pockets. ”You got a minute to talk?” Zeke knew Andy and Arthur had just gotten called on a quest and Demi might want to spend time with them but Zeke just needed to say a few things and have a few questions answered for him; hopefully, alone.
As he stood there, the sound around him started to waver until it disappeared. Zeke removed a hand from his pocket and wiggled a finger in his ear, trying to get it to pop or something. It sounded like he was underwater with how muffled the sound was.

The monster roared angrily at Antoinette before it started stomping around and pounding at the ground. Antoinette felt like she was dancing with an overzealous partner as she dodged each hit to the ground. It used up most of her concentration, the mental link absorbing the other half of her conversation. She was glad the others had found the stone, maybe this would be over soon. All Antoinette had to do now was stay alive.
Antoinette did her best to concentrate on her power and the creature as a target. Luckily it was a very large creature. Antoinette aimed some concentrated shots of fireworks at the creature’s feet. She succeeded in causing a fair bit of damage to the creature but they were still standing; however, the stomping had stopped.
With the feet being so damaged, Antoinette figured that would be her best plan of attack and she went for the creature’s feet once again. There wasn’t any further damage done but Antoinette didn’t dwell on the fact.

Cassi relaxed a little when she heard that Rosalia and her sister were okay. She looked back at the fighting, counting thirteen enemies, she noted Layla’s kill shot and was highly impressed. She was also a little weirded out by it. Rose started talking to Cassi, giving her a pep talk and Cassi snorted.
”Only 52 percent?” she joked. She smiled at Rose before shifting and moved away a bit to look around the table. Cassiopeia shifted her weight so she could take aim at the nearest enemy. After they made it through this fight, Cassi was going to have to ask her father how he could shoot people and not be upset about it. Cassi was used to shooting animals but for food. She didn't plan on becoming a cannibal anytime soon.
Cassiopeia strung an arrow and took aim at an assailant’s shoulder. She managed to hit them, hoping the damage would slow them and someone else could make the killing blow for her. Cassiopeia lined up another shot, remembering to breathe before she fired again. Her arrow grazed against the person’s arm before embedding itself into the ground. People moved so much faster than animals. Cassiopeia grabbed another arrow and lined up to shoot the person’s upper leg. Miss. Cassiopeia tried not to let it deter her as she couched back behind the table. Around her fires were starting up and Cassiopeia frowned. Maybe she would be better at putting out fires.

Willow could hear the smile from Colby in his words, even if she couldn’t see him clearly and she smiled herself, glad that as of right now they were on okay terms. Something wacked Willow and she jumped, hearing a cat meow. Oh great, just what they needed, a cat meowing for food or something. Willow looked up at the ceiling, hearing voices before she looked in the general vicinity of the cat.
”Shh, we can get you some food in a little while,” she whispered, hoping to soothe the cat. Clearly Willow was not a cat person as that did not seem to pacify their feline companion. Upstairs shouting could be heard but the actual words were muffled. Willow didn’t have time to puzzle over it or be worried because the cat bit her. Willow jumped again, mad at the cat but held her tongue. The door opened shortly after and Willow sighed with relief before rubbing her arm.
”Your friend is hungry,” she commented before stepping out of the closet. Once free of the closet, she looked towards the stairs, wondering where her mother was before looking at the Mad Hatter. ”Is everything alright?”
