The primal urge to obsessively access your uni portal to see if your classes have been released, so you can read the syllabi thirty-seven times before class next week.

Cassiopeia laughed at Rose and rested an arm over her shoulders as they walked. ”Good, that will give me the experience of being the damsel in distress, and you can be the brave knight that rescues me,” she joked and kissed the side of Rose’s head. Of course, Layla’s suggestion was a better alternative. ”That would be nice. I’d still want to live somewhere near the forest, though. This is home.” Cassi looked up at the trees and breathed in the fresh scent of the earth.
Her father’s voice pulled her from her thoughts, and Cassi looked back at him and nodded. They still had quite the journey ahead of them. ”Did Flynn go after Rosalia? Should we wait for them?”

Still picking out knots and forest debris from her hair, Willow absently listened to the conversation. Matthew was rambling again, and Willow smirked a little as she thought about learning the different reasons for rambling in her psych classes. The conversation shifted to the lamp, and Willow paused in her detangling.
The Genie in Aladdin was perhaps the most iconic character in the Disney franchise after Mickey Mouse. Willow briefly giggled, thinking about the giant mouse wandering through Merlin’s tower. She cleared her throat and rested her hands on her legs.
” Who will be the Genie’s master?”

Lance made no move to shift back, but he was no longer attacking them. That’s progress, right? Bethany winced, and Antoinette gasped, quickly letting go of Bethany’s arm.
’Sorry!” The other group rejoined them in the clearing, and the moment became tense once more. Two Klaras' stood before them; everyone knew one of them was at least the imposter. One of the Klaras' was quickly restrained by Guin, and Antoinette relaxed. As the adrenaline started to die down some, the pain of the various injuries in Antoinette’s body began to make themselves known. Antoinette winced and rubbed the sore areas of her body, suddenly tired.

Ezekiel got out of his seat after Demi left and Nancy moved. Like Nancy, he chose to favour his swords this time. He pulled out the sun key chain, pressed the center, and it expanded into his murakumo sword. He quickly rotated the item around while waiting for Demetri’s return. However, Ezekiel was not expecting the female return of his boyfriend so soon.
FemiDemi stood in front of Ezekiel. He lowered his sword, paling at the sight before he blushed and turned his head away from them. Luckily, Nancy spoke of a plan forming in her head, which allowed Zeke to focus on that.
He looked around their train car and frowned. ”I vote for option two. Even with its size, it could still crush us if we attack from the sides. Pushing it off the train might be best. Then we can fire off arrows at it if it tries to come back.”

Bethany had no suggestions for calming Lance, but a portal opened shortly after, allowing Runa and Klara to walk through. Antoinette was betting that Runa would be able to calm Lance down. That just left the three of them to deal with Nightlocke and Ed’s counterpart.
Antoinette did her best to ignore her pains and summon some of her pyro ability. Just as she was getting ready, Runa intervened and threw their remaining assailants far off so they wouldn’t be a problem to them anymore.
That left Lance. Antoinette turned when Runa addressed him. She held her breath, not daring to make a sound or move in case it set him off or distracted him from shifting back. Without thinking about it, her hands grasped Bethany’s arm, acting as an anchor as she waited.

Rose’s instructions were simple enough, but with Cassi’s track record lately, it might be better for her not to fire a bow at all when it came to combat. She needed more practice to avoid hitting vital areas. Robin came over, checking on them to see if they were ready to go.
”Definitely,” Cassiopeia said and stowed her weapons away before following her father and sister. She took a moment to glance over at Rose as they walked. She examined her girlfriend from head to toe to ensure she was unharmed. Once that was done, Cassi brushed her arm against Rose’s gently but didn’t move to take her hand.
”So, any idea how one date's in a fairytale land?” she asked conversationally.

Willow settled into a seat next to her mother and smirked when the boys asked if Rapunzel’s hair glowed. It would have been stellar if that was the case, but Willow figured that Disney was just trying to pull a little more magic out of the air.
The girl’s hair was still exceptionally long and, according to her, relatively strong. Willow crossed her legs on the seat and ran deft fingers through her hair. She could use a shower and proper shampoo and conditioner. There were some things this magic kingdom desperately lacked.

Ezekiel smiled a little at Demetri as he tried to stick up for him and make him feel better. Zeke pet down Demi’s back a few times, not feeling strange for doing it. When Nancy spoke up, Zeke turned to give her his undivided attention.
Nancy always had a way with words. Partly because of being a child of Apollo but mostly because she was a leader. Ezekiel admired and respected her for that. What she said first hit home for him. In some things, he was undisciplined, but he mostly was fractured. Broken. He needed to work on that part of himself to be better for Camp Half-Blood. Her second statement helped to ease that fractured soul.
”Reborn each day... like the sun,” he quoted. Zeke smiled and nodded. ”I like that, Nanc, thanks.” At least Zeke could take one thing from this whole scenario. He had people on his side who wanted to see him succeed as long as he knew that he could move forward and make better decisions.
Joanie became frustrated with Demi’s sudden lack of attention and picked him up from Zeke’s lap. Zeke wasn’t overly concerned, knowing cats landed on their feet, so when Joanie dropped him, he didn’t jump to alarm. He was more concerned that Joanie would try to light him on fire. Zeke was about to ask Nancy if the small dragon could breathe fire when there was a loud roar from the neighbouring train car. Zeke turned towards the sound.
”Did that sound monstrous to you?”

"Not even a little bit," Antoinette replied. Nightlocke had just thrown them around again, bruising her more. Antoinette's entire body was riddled with pain, and the dizziness she was experiencing was not making it any easier. She felt as if she may get sick.
Antoinette got herself to her knees in time to watch Bethany throw her counterpart back. She was closer to the Hulk, allowing Antoinette to hope Lance would take care of her. Antoinette staggered to her feet and walked to Bethany.
"I don't know what to do for Lance. The last time I tried to help, I made him angrier. Any suggestions?"

Cassiopeia continued to lean into the comfort of her sister. Even though they were different people, Cassi could feel Layla’s understanding and bond with just her touch. Rose walked over, and Cassi smiled slightly at her girlfriend, but she wasn’t feeling too loveable.
Cassiopeia looked down at the body as she listened to her sister’s words. Layla spoke the truth, but it only served to confuse Cassiopeia further. She nodded and looked away from the body. Robin was busy cleaning up the camp with a few other people while she had a mental break.
”Thank you. I don’t know if I’ll be okay with this, but your words do help. Let’s get out of here.”

Relief settled over Willow when they walked through the portal. Merlin was a powerful wizard who could protect them all. She would rather have him on their side while they went after Maleficent.
A woman with rather long hair was floating in and out of rooms. Willow frowned slightly as she watched the woman. She glanced at Matthew and Colby to see if they had noticed before she walked over to her mother.
”Do you know who that is?” Willow asked her mother curiously.

Demetri's words of retaliation were appreciated, but they only made Zeke feel sad as well. He should have talked to Janelle first. He knew how news traveled at camp, and Coach Hedge had made quite the scene for him and Demetri.
He felt a presence beside him and turned to see Nancy had rejoined them. He sighed at her simple words. She wasn't prying, and he was thankful for that, but Nancy had become a good person to talk to over the short time they had known each other.
"Apparently, I am the reason for the group's communication barriers because I didn't tell Janelle about Demi and I," he said and looked back at Demetri for a moment. "I know how rumors spread at this camp. I should have spoken to her first, but I was focused on the quest and wanted to approach the situation with her privately." Zeke absentmindedly scratched under Demi's chin while he spoke to Nancy.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually miss my little run down trailer, and the kids I went to school with. I was bullied, but at least I was bullied for what I am rather than what I turned myself into."
Nancy, Demi and even Kristin knew of his previous life with his mom's unsavory career, and being bullied about that and being poor. When he started at Camp Half-blood, Zeke didn't want his reputation to be the poor kid with the stripper mom who couldn't even afford basic cable. So, he started to overcompensate for what he lacked. He pushed himself to be the best in the infirmary, best in archery, best with sarcastic comebacks. Cold-hearted and an asshole. He achieved his goals, but at the cost of friendships and he hurt Janelle. If he just acknowledged how he was feeling rather than blocking himself all the time, he and Demi could have started even before Janelle arrived at camp.

Things were increasingly moving from bad to worse. No one was directly after Antoinette and Bethany at the moment but that didn't stop the other attacks. Lance for one was not in his right state of mind and was simply smashing and throwing anything at everyone and everything. Antoinette got hit with some scattering debris but Bethany got the worst of it.
"Bethany!" Antoinette rushed over and knelt to the ground by Bethany to check on her. Covering her, Antoinette reached out and sent a blast of fireworks at Nightlocke to keep her away from them. She didn't want to hurt Lance because she knew she wouldn't be able to and that it would only anger him more.
Antoinette's first attempt failed and so she tried again. This time Antoinette was able to hit Nightlocke with such a force that it knocked her back.
"Come on Bethany, we have to get out of here." She started pulling on Bethany, trying to get her to her feet.
