Antoinette bounced along beside Carolina as they walked. She nuzzled Arnold with her cheek when they spotted Lance. She waved cheerfully to him when Carolina addressed him, but he seemed a little lost in thought. Then he turned and walked away from them. Antoinette’s smile fell a little before quickly picking it up again. She squeezed Carolina’s arm.
”He’s been a little off since space… Plus, I think he misses Runa. Come on, let’s go get some food,” she said and dragged Carolina to the food court. Part of Antoinette wanted to pursue Lance to ensure he was okay, but he probably needed space.
In the food court, Antoinette spotted Mira talking to someone with long hair at a table. ”Oh, look! There’s Mira. Maybe we can join her after we find something to eat. I’m not really sure what I am in the mood for…" She scanned the various food establishments, trying to glean some inspiration. "Maybe a noodle bowl of some kind… What are you thinking?” She asked Carolina.

Zeke frowned when Demi refused to look into his eyes. He knew his boyfriend struggled with self-confidence, but he had to know that his shape-shifting was off because of Aphrodite’s involvement. Didn’t he? They couldn’t risk Demi shifting mid-flight from dragon to mouse. Ezekiel continued to stare at Demi, willing him to look when Kristin suggested splitting into watches. Zeke snapped his head back to Kristin and grasped Demi’s hand.
”Take a break, Kristin. Demi and I will take the first watch,” he said. He pulled Demi to the back of the train car, where they would have a good view of the whole car and be out of everyone’s way. Zeke stopped and nodded to the window seat before looking at Demi.
”Sit…Please,” he added.

Cassi remained motionless, breathing lightly while the guards made their way through the area. When the guard stopped to look in their direction, Cassi had an Obi-Wan Kenobi moment and thought fervently of his words: these are not the droids you are looking for. Once they left and Robin stood, Cassi sighed and straightened up.
”A number of guests, hmm? Well, that could prove to be problematic.” Cassi looked at Robin for insight and followed behind him.

Colby and Matthew’s ideas for wishes to ask were creative, to say the least. Willow looked at Matthew and rubbed his back a little before pulling her hand back. For some reason, she felt he needed the comforting touch, even though it was brief.
Willow sighed and intertwined her fingers. ”Hurry up and wait,” she paraphrased. They could brainstorm all the ideas, but until the others returned, there wasn’t much they could do. ”Colby, your ideas aren’t bad. I’m not sure how a killing option will work. Maybe something that would bind her for the rest of her days plus one or something would be better,” Willow suggested.

Ezekiel noted Nancy’s cheeks pinked slightly from his words. What he couldn’t determine was the emotion that caused it. All the same, he nudged her shoulder to help her feel more grounded before focusing on what the others had to say. He looked at Cassian when he interjected himself into playing music with him and Nancy. She spoke before he could, and it brought a smirk to his face. He crossed his arms and looked back at Cassian. ”I’d rather be eaten by Kronos,” he added. Ezekiel shook his head, smirk still firmly planted on his face, and gently pushed Cassian’s shoulder. ”Stick to chaos, son of Dionysus. Leave the archery and music to the children of Apollo.” He chuckled while relaxing his stance. Zeke was simply teasing and didn’t want to start anything. Of course, he did believe Cassian should stay in his lane, but Nancy wanted to teach them how to work as a team, too. Every asset was important.
The tension growing between his half-sister and boyfriend was a bit troubling. Zeke knew Nancy and her tones. He could tell when she was serious or joking - mostly. Demetri, however, well... to put it bluntly, was sensitive, and Zeke knew he was trying extra hard to be on Nancy’s good side because of him. Truthfully, Zeke figured all Nancy really cared about was if Demetri was going to be helpful to the team or a liability, and unfortunately, with Aphrodite having her fun, Demi was a liability.
Zeke nudged Demi’s shoulder with his, still slightly uncomfortable with Demetri’s new look. With all the constant shape-shifting, Ezekiel felt like he didn’t even know who he was speaking with. It was like Demi had multiple personalities or something. It wasn’t Demi’s voice, hid dark hair, vibrant eyes or even comforting touch. Right now, Demi seemed a stranger to him.
”Maybe, for now, don’t worry about helping through shape-shifting. You have other talents that could help,” Zeke said and smiled tentatively before Kristin cleared her throat.
Zeke leaned on the back of Kristin’s seat and shrugged. ”We could hotwire a car again. Although, I like the idea of remaining on a train to go across the country. Besides, Janelle paid for our tickets, which wasn’t cheap, and if you think about it, we can control the environment a lot more in a closed space than we can on an open highway or field. I believe we all know a little first aid, so we can always help the other passengers should the need arise.”

”Mmm, something oversized. Maybe like a bomber-style jacket or… FOUND IT!” Antoinette pulled out a vintage, bomber styled jean jacket and quickly slipped it on to see how it felt and looked. Antoinette’s creative mind slipped into overdrive when she thought about how she could put her own unique spin on it. She loved the artwork or graffiti people would put on clothes and wanted to do something similar.
”Okay, let me pay for these, and then we can go eat.” She had found another shirt in her wanderings, and she found another jacket as she walked to the till. It looked like a couch pattern on a coat, but it was floral and Antoinette loved it. Everything paid for, Antoinette kept her new jean jacket on and walked out of the store with Carolina, heading for the food court.

It was a bit strange to be back in the normal routine of life. It took Antoinette some time to come down from her experience in an alternate reality. Space jail seemed like a lifetime away compared to that moment. But Carolina was back! And Guin had been a real help with training. Guin was rather tight-lipped about alternate Antoinette but was very encouraging and helpful when it came to Annie wanting to beef up her offensive skills. She was tired of feeling weak and useless.

Antoinette walked through the mall, arm in arm, with her best friend of all time. Little Arnold, the Tribble, sat on her shoulder, curled up under her hair and quite content. Antoinette was on a bit of a mission. She wanted to browse the vintage shops before taking a peek into the few art stores that the mall had. Of course, she gave Carolina full permission to pull her from the stores if she started to get too carried away. At the moment, they were in one of the vintage shops.
Antoinette was flipping through jackets, trying to find something to fit the new look she had in her head. She already had the high stockings and combat boots at home, and she bought the shorts and a few t-shirts from another store. The jacket she had in her mind's eye was specific. She would know it when she found it.

Ezekiel chuckled as he placed his notebook back into his bag. He shrugged before responding to Cassian. "It was that or a pair of rolled-up socks.” He turned to look at the others and saw a new girl was with them. Quick deduction skills told Zeke that it was Demi and not some new creature they had to fight off. Ezekiel blushed and looked away before mumbling to Demi. ”You’re someone else… again.”
Ezekiel fell into step with the others as they returned to their original train car. It dawned on him that the people around them were hesitant and cringing. He tuned into the conversation and Nancy’s urgency. He agreed with her, but they were on a moving train. It wasn’t like they could jump off. They would have to wait until the next station unless Nancy’s theory about Janelle’s power proved true. Ezekiel had faith in Janelle. Even if their friendship was in ruins, he didn’t doubt her or her ability.
”We could also play a tune, Nanc. Try and elicit a calming effect.” Thanks to Demi’s gift, Zeke had an easier way to transport his guitar. He always had it on him now.

Cassiopeia Hood

Robin seemed confident that Flynn would find his daughter. Cassiopeia didn’t really know the man, but she trusted her father, as strange as that was. She didn’t really know him either, but she was instantly comfortable around him and felt safe with him. If he said Flynn and Rosalia would be fine, she knew they would be fine.
They kept walking, Layla teasing her and Rose, which made Cassi laugh and nudge her sister back. She was about to speak when Robin urged them to take cover. She quickly ducked down with Rose, hood over her head as she watched the men on horses approach. They slowed as they passed their group, and Cassiopeia silently cursed. Her heart was pounding in her ears. She didn’t want to go into another fight so soon. She was still trying to get over killing people from earlier.

Willow glanced at Matthew when he commented on her words regarding the genie. She nodded her head from side to side in agreement. Although, what other word was there for it? Jasmine’s words about the genie reassured Willow; however, Merlin wasn’t very helpful. Willow crossed her leg over the other and rested her arm on her knee and chin in her hand.
”Guess we should brainstorm on something to ask then,” Willow said. They had to figure out something to beat Maleficent. ”Maybe a way to use her weaknesses against her?”

The plan fell quickly into motion as Demetri bounded ahead to be the bait. The problem was, old Miny wasn’t taking the bait. Things progressed quickly when Janelle stepped up to put the beast to sleep. Ezekiel relaxed his fighting stance and smiled at the sleeping bull and how harmless it looked. He then glanced at Janelle but quickly shook his head and turned. She didn’t need praise from him.
”Quickest take-down I’ve ever seen,” he decided to say. He pressed the button on the hilt of his sword, which allowed it to retract back into his key chain. Ezekiel slipped the keychain into his pocket when Kristin asked him to reset Cassian’s arm. Zeke pouted.
”Can’t we just leave it for a bit? Maybe he’ll pass out from the pain and be less annoying,” Zeke teased. He knelt beside Cassian all the same and examined where the break in his arm was. ”Hmm, here. Bite down on this, ya? As I shift the bone, you might feel some twisting. It would be better to bite on this rather than your tongue.” Zeke pulled out his notebook and set the book's spine into Cassian’s mouth to bite down on. ”Good, now just think about how amazing I am,” Zeke said with a charming grin as he shifted Cassian’s bone back into place. It only took a few seconds, but it could have felt like minutes to Cassian. Once the bone was set, Zeke shut his eyes and palpated as gently as possible to ensure the bone was in the right place.
”Perfect, it was a clean break Cas, so it’ll heal easily.” He shut his eyes as his hands started to glow. He watched behind his mind’s eyes as the bone began to knit itself back together. Once the bone healed, the glowing stopped, and Ezekiel stood. He offered Cassian a hand to help him stand.

There was a lot of back-and-forth conversation happening. Antoinette watched it all unfold around her. Her injuries were the only thing preventing her from participating fully. The imposter could pose several problems. Leaving her was not a good idea.
”I suppose we should restrain her and contact Dr. Strange. He may know something of how to use the crystal now that we have it.” She thought about how they could get into the imposter’s mind, but that might be more in Guin's wheelhouse. Antoinette still felt fuzzy after hitting her head so many times.
