Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Maleficent’s Castle
Skills:

”Yes!” Cass cheered when Rosalia trapped Maleficent into her notebook, and Layla made the last wish, trapping Maleficent forever and freeing Genie. ”Straight out of a Disney movie. I love it,” she said and wrapped her arm around Layla’s shoulders. ”I don’t know about all of you, but I definitely think we need to have a massive party before we all go our separate ways.”
Cassiopeia was thrilled to have defeated Maleficent and Rumple. She didn’t know what happened to Jafar, but that would be a future issue. For right now, they had a victory to celebrate. Cassiopeia looked between her sister and Rose. Rose asked Merlin if they could travel back and forth between worlds. Cass seriously hoped so because as much as she loved being Robin Hood’s daughter, Cassiopeia wanted to return to Kansas. However, she would love to visit her father and his band of fighters from time to time. Cass had much to learn from the great archer.

Willow Jones

Location: Maleficent’s Castle

The defeat of the enemy came swiftly. So swiftly that it took Willow a moment to understand they had won. Genie was leaving, and Merlin congratulated them all before she realized it was over. It was all over. Now, the question posed was to go home or stay. Of course, Willow had declared her decision long ago. She wanted to remain with her mother in this realm. She knew her adoptive parents would understand. Willow needed to do this for herself. However, something was happening that could make this potentially problematic.
Willow looked at Sierra to find the woman was already staring at her. Willow blushed and walked over to Sierra. ”I don’t really know how to say this, but if you are staying here, would you maybe want to meet up for drinks or…or go on a date with me?” Willow was certain her entire face was the same colour as Cassiopeia’s red hood as Willow confessed her attraction to Sierra. Willow had never had feelings for a woman before, but this connection between her and Sierra was undeniable.

Annika successfully breathed fire several feet away from the others. It was an intense power. One liked Annika had never experienced before, and she felt warm all over from the use of it. Not only because it was power, but because it was fire. Annika turned her giant reptilian head and grinned at the others, pleased with her experiment.

The humans eventually ceased their conversation and Max returned to Annika’s dragon form. She lowered her head to him and shut her eyes once Max placed on a hand on her. It took only seconds for her to be back in her body and for Max to shift from human to dragon. Annika bowed her head to Max, thanking him for the experience.

Having missed most of the conversation, Annika was unsure what was happening. Runa, however, seemed to fill in the blanks enough for her. Annika pondered over the crone’s words. There needed to be a balance in this world and the next. Annika understood that rule well.

”Grandmother, if I were to stay to complete my mission, would Limbo return me home?” Jack was already through the portal, so she could not ask him.

Penguin? Had Max ever called her that before? Antoinette struggled to remember if Max had, but she found it adorable either way. She smiled at Max, shaking her head as if she were shaking her head at the antics of some child. Antoinette started to feel a tingle over her body, and she looked down to examine her arms and hands. She began to heal slowly to the point where the burns were nothing more than red marks. The burning sensation had blessedly ceased. She would never stop being amazed by Edus’ powers or his generosity. Antoinette went to thank Edus, but then the next set of powers went haywire.
Antoinette crouched, covering her head with her hands. She felt stings along her skin as metal sliced against her. It stopped momentarily before going crazy again, and everyone was doing something to fight. Antoinette spotted who Cortez must have been and looked around for Jacelyn. She spotted her glowing and crawled over.
”Do you think you could blind him? If you can knock out one of sense, I could scramble the rest of them.” Antoinette could better manipulate Cortez’s senses if he were already down one, and by the looks of it, Max had Cortez bound. Now would be a good time to act.

Cassiopeia Hood

Cassiopeia looked at the Genie fondly. Although the Aladdin movie had crossed boundaries, it had been a classic for its time and Genie was incredibly entertaining as a kid and as an adult.
Maleficent was not happy with the wish Matt made but it was a genius move on his part. The fairy attacked of course, but Rosalia was able to make an epic second wish.
”Ooooo, that's a good one!” To have Maleficent trapped would be the best case. Who knew if she could even be killed.

Willow's assailant wasn't finally defeated and the rest of the fighting came to a quick end. Willow ran a hand through her hair, feeling spent, but they weren't done yet. Standing near Sierra, Willow stood to catch her breath while they formed a plan.
Willow looked up at the castle, finding it daunting, but they had to get inside and see how the others were fairing. She followed the group inside, resting her hands on her waist as she continued to catch her breath, and mentally prepared herself for another fight.

As Ezekiel spoke, everything seemed muffled. Ezekiel opened and closed his jaw, feeling like his ears needed to pop or something. He spoke again, saying not much of anything, but once again, Ezekiel got nothing but muffled sounds. He glanced at Demetri, trying to get his attention with words, and then he saw something flash. Ezekiel turned to see Niah on the other side of an Iris message. It looked like she was yelling. Ezekiel looked back at Nancy and the utter despair on her face. He looked back at Niah, back to Nancy, back to Niah and fell back on his heels. Something happened. Why else would Niah be in an Iris message and Nancy in a bubble of silent oblivion? He looked down at Sunshine and thought about what he could do.
Growing up, Ezekiel always felt insignificant. His mother loved him and sacrificed everything for him, but it didn’t help this deep feeling Ezekiel had about not being good enough. He remembered staying up at night, watching the moon's glow or turning on a light source just to bring in a little bit of comfort and warmth. Ironic that his power would be the manipulation of sunlight.
Ezekiel shut his eyes and held his hands slightly apart. His hands curved to create an open circle as he focused his energies. There wasn’t much natural light here, but Ezekiel had power within. They all did. It took Ezekiel some time, time he knew they didn’t have, but he didn’t care. He would give Nancy all his time.
Eventually, Ezekiel created a small light orb that emitted some heat. At first, his light was small and shaky, but after another push, Ezekiel expanded the light to be bright enough and warm enough to keep a little boy warm on a cold, lonely night. Or a little girl.
Ezekiel held the light in his hands, presenting the orb to Nancy. He looked at her, looked at Niah, Demi, and then Nancy once more. He couldn’t say anything, but he could do this. He could sit here and give Nancy some light at the end of the tunnel.

Annika blinked several times. She was staring at herself, but it wasn’t her voice coming out. Annika opened her mouth, but only a strange roar came out. Annika looked down and saw that she now inhabited the dragon's body. Well, she did want to know more about the strange creatures. Annika decided to take this as a learning opportunity rather than a failed attempt at her magic. Clearly, her ancestors wanted her to learn something about this form. Annika examined her physical body. She manoeuvred her giant paws and claws before flicking her long, serpentine tail and expanding her wings. Annika sighed in Dragonic pleasure. This was a wonderful experience.

Annika decided to dive into the creature's mind to learn as much as she could before she tried to switch bodies once more. Perhaps the dragon knew of some transformative magic. It seemed the creature possessed a level of high intelligence. An intelligence that Annika couldn’t comprehend, as her people had no word for what a dragon was. Wars. Blood. Gold. Annika saw all these things flash through the dragon’s mind, along with all these heightened sensations. She could feel the wind dancing along her scales, even though her human form had felt no wind. She could smell a thousand different smells, and she could see. Mighty Creator, could she see. She saw colours she didn’t understand, and everything was in sharp focus. She could see details on her human companions that would have required Annika, in her human form, to stand mere inches from their faces.

Annika's stomach grumbled low within her belly, and she had the sudden urge for venison. Unfortunately, there were no such creatures in this land — poor thing. Annika focused on the wellspring in her stomach, where her Creator’s fire sat within her. She could feel the fire even in this dragon form; it was immense and powerful. In fact, Annika felt a great deal of power, both physical and magical, within her reptilian-like bones. Annika stalked forward, feeling the great movement of the beast as she removed herself from the group. The feeling of fire started to creep up her chest and into her throat, looking for a way out. Annika wanted to try breathing fire like Max had.

Cassiopeia Hood

Cassiopeia took out a few guards successfully during this fight, but nothing would compare to watching the chandelier fall and crush the remaining soldiers. Cassiopeia chuckled at the sight and shook her head. ”No one is going to believe that just happened. Nice work, Rose!” Cassiopeia called out to them before she turned to focus on her sister.
Cassiopeia rolled her eyes and went to turn around when Layla withdrew a throwing knife. She watched her twin launch it at Maleficent. Cassi’s eyes widened as it made its mark. She knew that wasn’t going to be a good thing. The wicked fairy hurled a fireball at Layla, knocking her back, and Cassiopeia yelped before racing forward.
”Lala, are you okay?! That was a really dumb idea,” she informed her twin, quickly looking Layla over.

It was quiet for a moment, which allowed Willow to catch her breath. The fighting quickly resumed, though, causing Willow to let go of Sierra’s hand to avoid being attacked by a soldier. Sierra didn’t fare so well, but Willow had her own fight at the moment. Heart pounding in her chest, Willow dodged the attack and went to retaliate with a straight punch to the guard’s face.
Willow did her best to avoid all the guard’s attacks and fight back with her kickboxing and acrobatic skills.

Ezekiel jumped when Janelle snapped. And he thought everything was going well, too. He glanced at the ground, falling silent for a moment before he swallowed. Then Alexios opened his annoying mouth. Ezekiel rolled his eyes.
”Don't be so dramatic.”
He looked round at the others when Kristin suggested one hand on the shoulder method. ”Just stick close,” he reminded everyone. He kept hold of Demetri’s hand and led the way to Nancy.
They found her and Sunshine on the floor outside a supply closet. ”Nanc? Um, is everything okay?” He knew that was a stupid question but he hadn't any other words to say. He rubbed the back of his neck. ”We managed to stick together --- aside from Cassian. I wanted to come find you first. Are…are you ready to keep going?” Gods Ezekiel hated himself so much for forcing his half-sister and best friend to go through this.

With the threat of immediate danger mitigated, Annika's attention shifted to Max. She walked up to him, her eyes roaming over his great form. She had never seen such a creature before. He looked as if he were a lizard of some kind, but lizard's never grew to be this large or breathed fire. Annika reached out to touch him, but pulled back. He was a human and a creature with thoughts and feelings. It was rude to touch without asking permission. When Runa asked if anyone could link their mind to Max's, Annika perked up.

”I may be able to, Grandmother. I have never encountered a dragon, though.” Annika spoke the foreign word slowly. It felt strange on her tongue. Max's soundless rumble reverberated through Annika, but rather than be frightened of it she felt as if she were glowing. She had discovered something new to her and her people.

”May I place a hand on you, Max?” Annika lifted her hand, touched her arm, and extended it towards Max without touching him yet. Her eyes remained on his large glowing ones, hoping he understood her concept.

Annika had only ever linked her mind with woodland creatures before to determine if danger was near, the best hunting ground, or what ailed them. With Max being human, it might not work, but it was worth the try. She had to be in contact with him though and he had to be willing to connect with her.

Leaving Jaclyn temporarily, Antoinette walked over to Miranda. ”If we are to use our ability together, should we make the same illusion? Or perhaps split their senses and create two different realities?” Antoinette continued to pet her tribble, finding comfort in his slight puring.
The ground and walls rumbled around them. Antoinette looked up and turned in a slight circle. She was trying to determine what was happening when the room started to grow bright. Antoinette looked down to see Max starting to lose control. Antoinette quickly turned as Max erupted. She hunched over, securing Arnold from harm, but ended up getting burnt along her side and back. Everything ached as she twisted back around, pain flaring across Antoinette’s body, but at least she was still standing.
”Away with you,” she told Arnold and tucked him away. She focused on the others who were in various stages of disarray. ”What on earth was that?” Antoinette knew Max's powers were advanced and prone to go haywire, but that was completely out of left field.
