Bio

Long time casual role player who loves tales of adventure! I enjoy tabletop games, play-by-post, and even LARP!

Wild (and sometimes weird) west and medieval fantasy games with an 'old-school' D&D feel are my favorite.

In real life, I'm a software engineer and wanna-be farmer. I have a little garden and some chickens that like to destroy my flower beds. But I like 'em anyway and they all have names. ;) Sometimes they lay me some breakfast.

Other hobbies include dog agility and archery.

Just getting rolling with this RP, but would love 1 or 2 more players to join us!
"Bout 5 days, I should think," Straw told Cyriana. Since he was now up on his feet, he started checking his gear, ensuring everything was secured tightly onto the packhorse. "Gonna take the road north up to Dawsbury," he continued. Dawsbury was little more than an outpost, the last of the tamed territory headed in that direction. "After that, well... there's some paths... so I've gathered, at least."

"I don't mind the walk," Calvin chimed in, excited by the prospect of treasure and maybe even something of an adventure. He exchanged a quick glance with the elf, wondering the injury to her eye was recent, but looked away quickly, not wanting her to think he was staring.

"Well..." Straw said, pausing as he stared down the road for another few moments. "Don't look the other ones are gonna show. You two ready? They'll just have to catch up if they still wanna come 'long."

Calvin nodded enthusiastically. "Need any help with that pack, Miss Cyriana?" the young man asked, blushing again as he spoke to her.
Since we've gone over a day with no IC posts, does that mean you guys are ready to skip ahead to morning? :)
@Warrior in the Shadows,@Afina, and @IcePezz - Do you want us to wait for you before our characters head off on their adventure?
"Good!" Wystan exclaimed as Roman agreed to accompany the party, but he was saved from commenting on the scholar's plan for any money gained on their expedition by the arrival of the bard.

"Mebbe we should bring him 'long to scare off any snakes and spiders lurkin' in there," the ferryman said, rolling his eyes slightly.

"Hello" a female voice said and Wystan swiveled his head to look at Jasmine. "Are you, um, men going to the cave tomorrow? Because, um, me and my brother, and Thomas, are uh, going tomorrow too."

"Headed out first thing, lass," the old man replied, looking at the girl, then past her to the table where her brother and friend sat, giving them an acknowledging nod. "To be honest, I was hoping there'd be a few that wanted to go. I believe there's treasure to be found, but I ain't fool enough to think I can do it alone. You lot got any picks or shovels you can bring 'long? River prolly pushed mud over everything."

Just as her brothers were arguing about her, Jane pushed the door to the tavern open to find the place buzzing with excitement tonight. Spotting the pair, she worked her way over to them, catching Beevil's eye and trying to sneak up behind Will. Once close enough, she tapped his left shoulder while sliding to the right, trying to make him look the wrong direction. "Don't be such a worrier, Will," she said. She was smiling, but her eyes were slightly puffy and red, as if she had very recently been having a good cry. "I want to go. Imagine! We might find something like... like a ruby! Or gold... or maybe even something magical."

The occasional passing adventurer had told tales of magic and some even believed the tales to be true, Jane among them, though she's never witnessed any herself.

If its okay with the GM id like to just put my cs' in the character section just for quick referrals and maybe a status bar for eact so people dont get confused. That kool?

Of course!
Sweet. Here's a little blurb of what I've got in mind. Feel to free to make your intro post and I'll follow your lead. :)

Jane Smith
Age 18
She was to be married this summer, but the engagement was recently broken when Jane discovered her betrothed had been unfaithful. The cowardly, boil-brained lout! Looking for something to distract her, Jane is sure to jump on the chance to go explore the cave with her older brothers.

"Yer the first to arrive, lass," Straw answered, pausing his humming and climbing back to his feet to greet the elf. And I sure hope she ain't the only one, he thought, taking note of her rather rough appearance. In the morning light her injuries looked worse than they had in the dim tavern lighting the previous evening when he'd pitched the idea to her.

"Rough week?" he asked. It wouldn't be the first time he'd picked up an "adventurer" running from something. In fact, it was rather rare that he recruited someone who wasn't a bit down on their luck.

About this time, a young man was hurrying toward the pair, still pulling his coat over one arm while carrying a pack and a hunting bow in his other hand. "Uh... hi," he said, grinning, as he drew closer and looked between Straw and the elven woman.

He blushed for no good reason as he looked at the elf. "I'm Calvin," he said, as way of introductions.
