Bio: Jackson was always the guy who you could turn to no matter who you were and when it came to girls and his love life the poor guy had it bad girl would open up and so would he and the next thing you know they were running off with someone that looked better than him. At least that was his reasoning anyway. His parents were some of the best people he knew owning a ranch outside a tiny Washington town called McCleary. He worked all day on the ranch when he wasn't in school and felt he was better because of it. Finally after yet another girl had bailed on him it happened he got marked. After waking up a bit he ran back to his house and showed his parents. both of them were thrilled and they were pleased even more because of his Aunt having been marked when she was younger. After a quick meal and some packing Jackson loaded up his fathers truck only to find that his dad was giving him the keys and told him good luck. The years after went by pretty quick a couple kids died including his first roommate but all in all he enjoyed himself and especially his Mentor. Now a Fifth former he is nearly done with the change and looking forward to the completion.

Alright people the first OC post is here so for those who havent gotten the story idea yet we will all be attending a house of night here in the US specifically Seattle Washington. We will all be playing fledglings at said HoN dealing with the typical drama of high school. Relationships, cliques, rivals, classes. Oh and did I mention a bunch of fledglings have gone missing? oh and the entity known as Darkness is behind it all. (And yes thats a capital D) Alright without further ado here are the CS rules.

Absolutely no one can be "Zoey" meaning no affinities for all five elements (Air, Fire, Water, Earth, and Spirit)
Canon characters can be mentioned but lets not have anyone be related to them in anyway shape or form as they will now be appearing in the RP as of yet. (If we get far enough in the nerd herd might make an appearance)
Your characters can be from where ever you want as long as its a real life locale and you have a valid reason to be at the school.
Everyone is a Student but if you wanted and we had a decent amount of student characters I will allow a second character that is a Professor.

Now for the CS

Name: Give both your birth name and the name you chose for yourself if different from your birth name
Age: pretty obvious but lets go no one older than 20
Gender: fairly obvious unless someone wants to play one of the god knows how many genders there are now
Orientation: sexual orientation its pretty straight forward
Form: What form are you in Third, Fourth, Fifth, or Sixth
Affinities: I'm gonna say a max of two one elemental and the other something else such as Starks affinity with a bow. And lets have one per element....I'm calling dibs on Fire though.
Bio: Just a brief history of your character

Vampyres/ House of Night 101

First of all in this world Vampyres have been around for as long as anyone can remember and are a tolerated part of society. Vampyres are heavily matriarchal meaning most of if not all of the people in power are women. This is noted by having High Priestesses instead of Priests. As a form of government Vampyres have a council of very old members that make very important decisions involving Vampyre law from their home in Italy. As far as how one becomes a Vampyre this is through the process of marking. A tracker will get an astounding impulse to go to a certain location and when they get there a magic rite is spoken and the target child feels what has been described as a searing pain equivalent to that of your head being split open. From there the newly marked fledgling will need to make their way to a House of Night or their body will reject the change and they will die. This change is a physiological one a certain gene in adolescents will allow their body to begin this change. Once at the house of night the fledgling will need to stay there and as a perk they get emancipated and as such they can change their name if they so choose to a name more suited to their personality. Once all of the formalities such as receiving their roommates and schedules and getting settled in the students will meet their mentors and eventually their classes will start. Vampyres have quite a few beliefs the primary of which is in the Goddess Nyx and her consort Erebus. As well as the story of the two Bulls. The black bull of Light and the white bull of Darkness both of which want nothing more than to destroy eachother but without one the world will become unbalanced and fall into chaos.

And for a quick reference in our world the vampyres bought West Seattle High School which will be our House of Night.

This will actually be the third time ive tried this on a role play site but its the first one to have gotten any interest so I'm really excited. Hopefully This will last a while and honestly as long as we keep in contact I don't see a reason why it shouldn't

Oh absolutely I'd love more people and of course if we think we can handle it more than one character will most definitely be a thing just to flesh out the cast (Not intentional I promise) As well as our NPC characters. I'm actually off today so I'll get the OC and character sheet up as well as a few NPC characters that I'll be playing just to use a story drivers. But to answer any other questions y'all might have. No reading the books is not required I'll actually be adding a section to the OC strictly for anything and everything related to Vampyre lore and sociology as well as their matriarchal structure (As much as I can understand of it anyway)
