Up until today I've never had any trouble with my EUIV Japan games. Today I got stomped five times in a row before even uniting the country.

EDIT: You probably are now, but I'm not going to tell you why you wouldn't have been like two years ago. You get to agonize over that yourself.

"Why do you glorify your past wars? Like World War Seven, why celebrate all the death?"
"Because it was necessary, without that death, oppression would have continued."
"The fact that it was necessary says something about your species."
-Excerpt from Haven-Alanar: Allies in the Sky, Antarctican Science Fiction Series.

Sandy Shores
Seeing the soldier, one of the Antarctican soldiers opened fire. A single pulse of blue energy flew just past the soldier's ear, the heart burning him. The moment the first shot left his rifle Yuuki Sora took out her pistol and shot him directly in the head. her weapon was set to stun, but to anyone who didn't know of the capabilities of the Neural Disruptor, it looked like she had just killed him in cold blood. She simply sighed at his reactionary behavior, and rolled her eyes. This did nothing to help their status, bringing her image from that of a ruthless commander to a complete psychopath.

She walked up to the man, with seemingly no fear of the fact that the situation could easily be an ambush. It seems she had decided to give him her trust in the hope that the rest didn't attack her.

"I apologize for that idiot soldier." She said "So, you must be rebels then." A devilish smile appeared on her face, seeing a great opportunity. "Why are you rebelling?"

Commonwealth
"Empire of America? Fourth Reich?" Said Fergus "What? Is the universe specifically trying to make our job harder? And here I thought it was on our side."

He tried to connect it with his tablet, made a confused face, then tapped a few buttons and tried again. Whatever he did seemed to work, as he smiled and handed the tablet off to another officer (who had a much more normal skin tone).

"Thanks for the map, hopefully we'll be able to do something about this Empire." He turned away, and yelled at no one in particular. "TUN DESACTIVAR!"

The glowing plasma shields collapsed back into their emitters, and the fleet moved away. The ships faded into the mist, leaving only a railgun shell sinking to the bottom of the ocean.

Washington State, One Day Later
Dozens of fighters and multiple transport aircraft flew through the air, waiting to see land. They were all capable of landing without a runway, they were made for Antarctic use after all. Suddenly, the navigator on one of the transports called out.

"Unidentified settlement! Inputting coordinates!"

He tapped away at his console, sending the coordinated to the pilots of all the aircraft. After a few more minutes of flight, they reached the settlement. The ground troops, comprised entirely of City Guards, jumped out of their respective transport aircraft and plummeted to the ground. At the last possible moment, they pulled their chutes and began to slowly drift down. Unfortunately for them, the white coloring of their parachutes made their locations obvious.

The group landed just outside the city, about two hundred soldiers in all. The original plan was simply to scout the area on foot, but with such an isolated settlement with no apparent defenses, the opportunity was far to good to resist. They moved into defensive positions, and the leader took out the megaphone that every AU leader seems to have. Knowing the group would have already been spotted, she decided using it wasn't a bad idea. Besides, after seeing their weapons and shields, only a fool would refuse to surrender.

"This is Commander Yuuki Sora of the Antarctic Union City Guard, your communications are being jammed and we have aircraft waiting to attack. All Imperial soldiers will be taken prisoner no matter what happens, but we would prefer it if you would surrender. Civilians, we have come to free you from the Empire of America, stand with us and together we can bring them down!"

Message to the Ceres independence
"This is Spokesman Neriys of the Antarctic Union. Your offer is lucrative, an ally in space would be extremely useful. We can give you our advanced technologies as well, and we are already beginning to attempt spaceflight. We can give you technology to shield you ships from micrometeorite impacts, radiation, and even weaponry. We can arm your troops with the most versatile weapons known to us, and perhaps we can even work together to get your American facilities back."

True but this rp is 56 years in the future. And if the Reich has already existed for 20 years I'd think most people wouldn't hate it because it's name is similar to a genocidal organization from 125 years earlier. The crows obviously have reasons to hate the Reich as they are living in it.

We still use the name "Hitler" as a synonym for "evil genocidal maniac". I think we'll be doing that for a while now.

Not only was he joking, he was actively mocking this RPs lack of realism, which is known to be the primary food source for a Preprick.

We all expected this. Of course, one has to wonder why none of us go over to mock them for having sticks up their asses, while they often come over here and mock the ancient and glorious history of Untold Empires our style of roleplaying. I honestly think that they believe they are simply better than us.

That being said, I got a kick out of that. Aaron gets Keyguy points for that.
Delphan Broadcast
"The Lakfakalle Cooperative Federation has been declared under the control of the Delphan Mental Collective. The leaders of all nation shave agreed to allow this due to our higher knowledge. We have chosen to reconnect Fairlan Milklan to the Collective. None other may be reconnected. All requests will be denied. This is a decision made over many hours of deliberation over probability. The Sol system must be held. The Sol system will be held. In the darkest hour of the galaxy, six from beyond will defend it. Apparently, those who wrote that line were correct. Some very strange things will be seen in the near future, and some very terrifying things as well. Remember, no matter how bad the situation, no matter how outnumbered or overpowered you are, hold on to hope. Even if you are all alone and surrounded by ten-foot biological constructs created for war, hold on to hope. When your streets are being stormed and your families slaughtered, hold on to hope. When you stand up to fight the enemy, know that their goals will never be accomplish, there is no path that the timeline can take where they succeed."

Imperial Admiral
"Of course not! I'm not an engineer! You should have captured the Drive Ship if you wanted to know that!"

The Admiral's face betrayed her words, it was clear that she knew everything about the device. Though she tried to contain her fear, it spilled out all over her, a river of obvious emotions on display. After all, how could one who had never known fear hide it?

Sol System
The knowledge imparted by the Equestrians deeply stirred the Captain and Officer Linn, knowing the true history of the Sol system, they both immediately ran up to the intercom and spoke together.

"This is our home, let the landers run, no Abh will leave this system. We will all fight." They said in tandem, and shortly afterward, the Captain continued.

"This world does have a defense system, and an incredibly powerful one at that. I don't care what you say, but we're going to use it against these invaders you speak of. And we're going to win."
Hey, Darkwolf, I'm going to need a response to continue on.

Coast of South Africa
"Sir, fighter craft overhead!" Called out the officer on the radar of the Perseverance.

"Of course it isn't America! When we decide to be hostile, it isn't our enemy! Lower and deactivate laser weapons! All ships, activate plasma shields!"

Each individual ship was engulfed in a half-sphere of plasma, the glowing blue glow obscuring the vessels and lighting the night. Despite being nothing more than a defense mechanism, the shields were intimidating, displaying technological superiority and appearing impenetrable. It would take a lot of firepower to get through them, However, the Antarctic Union wasn't interested in fighting, and the lead ship transmitted a message to the fighters, knowing they would likely relay it back to their HQ.

"This is the Antarctic Union Ship Perseverance. We apologize for our incursion. We have no quarrel with any Commonwealth, only America. I take the fact that you have not yet raised shields as a peace request, which I will answer by saying that as long as you do not fire on us, we will not fire on you. We do ask that you give us directions to American territory, we were sent out here to locate them."

Just wanted to point out that English wouldn't still be called English. More likely it would have its own name for each race using it or it is also commonly referred to as simply "Basic."For the forces of Chaos it is called low Gothic

The inhabitants of Lakfakalle refer to English as "Ancient Aif", but speak Federation Interstellar, which they call "Lakfakalle Standard".

The Equestrians likely call it English because of the ancient humans calling it that. Or maybe because we don't like the idea of the language we speak falling int obscurity, as if the sands of time simply buried it in a vast dune of other languages. Can we not stand the thought of the very way we communicate becoming nothing more than a footnote in the great book of history, underneath the page for another language we do not speak? Is this an indication of some deeper human desire to not be forgotten? Perhaps we feel that if a part of our culture dies, we die with it. Do we even care about the culture as a whole? Or do we only care about ourselves, a survival instinct that is now outdated in today's society?

Yeah, no. It's vastly more likely that it's simply convenient to have a character that uses the same name for something we do.
