Up until today I've never had any trouble with my EUIV Japan games. Today I got stomped five times in a row before even uniting the country.

Bio

I'm a weeaboo communist. Are you surprised?

EDIT: You probably are now, but I'm not going to tell you why you wouldn't have been like two years ago. You get to agonize over that yourself.

Yes, you read the title. Sci-Fi Fantasy. Yes, i do know what fantasy means, and I am using it in that sense. Why? Because Gods and magic can happen in this RP. In fact, they are very much encouraged due to what little exists about the setting in the beginning.

Reality has 11 dimensions, as predicted by quantum theory. The higher the dimension, the more apparent power one has. At the 11th dimension there is a membrane from which all began. Is that membrane a sentient being? Perhaps. Is it nothing more than a membrane? Perhaps. Whatever the case, those from higher dimensions are often worshiped as gods and goddesses by those from lower dimensions. Multiple forces also exists, though at this point it is doubtful that anyone can distinguish them from one another. This is all that is set in stone about this roleplay. Everything else is made by the player. Your nation and species can be as crazy as you want, so long as it makes sense. Do they all worship jelly beans? Whatever, but give a good reason for it.

Science will take a backseat to plot, but you can be as realistic or unrealistic as you want. I will likely use devices grounded in reality, but one of my characters will likely be based entirely off of a butchering of quantum physics (the justification for gods is only slightly butchering quantum physics). Someone else will probably use magic (literally what it's called) to justify FTL. That's fine. As long as it makes sense given your species.

As for the new roleplay, It'll be similar to the very first VotS. No universal backstory, just what the players create. The last time that was tried we ended up with this sprawling epic (That spans over 2,000 book pages, as roleplaying pages are about twice as large). I think it's a good choice.
I'll start it now. Sorry for the wait, but this just has to happen. Apps will continue to be accepted.

Or the secret to deityhood has been found, making many people become like Faust and Chaos Gods and the like. Then, over a fight questioning these immense powers, battles go from simple galactic unrest to an absurdly cosmic scale. Eventually their powers go into mayhem and rips apart reality itself, wiping both gods and mortal men alike.

Pointless, maybe, but it would help tie some things up. I am pained to see that VotS will be ending, but a new start would be good.My recommendation for an ending that concludes in unity is something that threatens the entire fate of our races at the hand at one super-powerful race, one that even Chaos would realize that it needs to fight off. Maybe something that wants to trigger a doomsday weapon (A la the Halo Rings), or some kind of virulent and cancerous entity that attacks worlds and grows, like the Reapers. Or maybe something completely original and unheard of, who knows.

I like both of these, but I flipped a coin (heads was Sukui's idea, tails was Alpha's idea). It landed on tails. Seriously, I'm not just trying to cover up the fact that I like Alpha's more, I really did flip a coin on this.

Any objections?

An effort to create an ending is pointless semantics, if we're ending it just cut it off where we aree, easier for all.

SENTIMENTAL VALUE

Meh, maybe you're right. I still want some closure.
Everyone I have an announcement to make.

Void of the Stars has been going on for two years now, and over that time we have accumulated over 400 pages of writing, and too many words for wordcounter.net to count. We've created ridiculous species, done stupid and funny things, had a bunch of serious storylines, and dropped billions of anvils. We built a community, though only one or two of you remember the original roleplay in 2012. You know where I'm going with this.

The backstory to our universe is rich, so rich that it drives off other players with it's detail. I even question the integrity of the setting now, it's getting hard to keep the whole mythology of the world together just due to the sheer detail of it. There are a few of us who believe that it is time to end the epic story that is Void of the Stars, and there are probably some who would fight that idea with everything they have. I disagree with both.

VotS is getting old, and it's time is coming closer and closer, but I refuse to leave this great roleplay with a cliffhanger. The story of VotS will be completed, once and for all. It will get the ending it deserves. I will take storyline ideas from everyone, but not all will be used. This will be the end of VotS, I want everyone to do their best to give this roleplay the best ending we can. That is all.

Relevant because science fiction.Does anyone know where I could possibly find all the episodes of Babylon 5? I've heard the show is excellent and I want to check it out but it isn't on Netflix.

Not on Netflix? I could have sworn it was. Eh, you can buy a box set, or get the physical copies from Netflix.

Of course...

Gee, Corustaria is 4 or 5 times bigger than me and has less people. Vanjana must be nothing but factories and apartments. I guess that could explain the instability... hmm... I'll bet the people just want a little breathing room.

And there's an incentive for colonization and/or conquest!

That's part of the reasons I'm worried about the spread of the islands (The Great God Gowia was unimpressed with the sacrifices lol) cause I need at least four to make my nation work so no matter what one will be situated a tad too far away for my liking, and I am also worried about being too large for my population. Still, better than being trapped on the mainland next to massive Empires of doom xD

You could make the little ones in the middle act as one.
