Current So, as an American, what do I do when I need to choose between illegal immigration to Canada and dying in a civil war?

Up until today I've never had any trouble with my EUIV Japan games. Today I got stomped five times in a row before even uniting the country.

Bio

I'm a weeaboo communist. Are you surprised?

EDIT: You probably are now, but I'm not going to tell you why you wouldn't have been like two years ago. You get to agonize over that yourself.

I can't wait to do the Abh-Draconian first contact. I feel like the Abh will be pretty happy to have another species which can equal them in melee combat. Considering the Abh mindset right now ("Yes. We are extremely superior to them genetically and morally."), it'll be interesting to see how they react to a species that they have to acknowledge as their equals. (As well as the Draconian "Murder conquer murder" lifestyle. Given that the Abh generally don't like conquering people without good reason, this could be pretty interesting.)
Hyperspace is also what the Path uses to grab people and shove it in one of its own dimensions, or into another random point in space. Herm. Would it be plausible for me to have a transport disappear now on the outskirts of Draconian space, and have it randomly reappear later when that sector is abandoned and someone else is there? Maybe some people who pushed the Dracs back or something?
It's sci-fi, so yes. Of course you can.
Alcubierre is primitive, right? Or is it the most used type of FTL?
It's barely used at all in Andromeda, and it only shows up with the Terrans in the MWG. I know for a fact that the Iscandarians consider it outdated (With their magical warp dimension thing), but the Terrans usually keep it for hundreds of years. The Abh in this RP experimented with it, but never managed to figure out how to bring the required negative mass below Jupiter-size. As you hopefully know, we already did that. The only problem was the production of large amount of negative energy (which was solved by the scientists being given MYSTERIOUS blueprints for a generator). The Abh get their negative energy for their antigrav from ancient ruins. The most used FTL, as was mentioned, is hyperspace.
Here in the near-ish future I'm going to add another ship. It'll be a unique to the trader security forces vessel, a police frigate more or less, I intend it to be one of those, "most prolific and recognized warships around" type things. It's not going to be a huge monster ship of the line or anything.. but just something that I was imagining that would make sense for a trade nation aside from their dedicated ship killer (which is obvious far rarer).
That sounds good, so far, there hasn't been any ship that universally screams "I shoot stuff". It'll be nice to have a warship that everyone knows is a warship. After the war, the Terrans might enter the whole trade scene. I'm sure people would be interested in purchasing some fine Terran products. Hell, I'll bet they could come up with some pretty useful stuff with all their insanely advanced psychics knowledge. Provided they can keep a hold on it, of course. Maybe they just never sell to magic species, thus giving all of them a trade dispute casus belli so they don't lose stability when they declare war.
Come to NRP.
NRP is the light.
And the nation I set up is a perfect breeding ground for interaction. A trade nation, regulating some of the biggest safe trade lanes that exist So wrongend, just jump in when ever. I'm flexible. That made me sound pretty easy.. Lol.
Speaking of you having a trade nation, THANK YOU. We needed one of those.
Whee, another fit of conflicting ideas! I don't know what's better: an empire controlled by an extradimensional entity(favors strength and power, i have made so much progress on its sheet), or a frail, 2020-tech civilization with a dying homeworld that is searching for a new place to live (favors story depth).
Frail, 2020-tech civilizations are always fun. Especially once they find ancient ruins or something. I had a late 90's civilization at one point, but it ran across some ancient ruins and ended up destroying a star system.
Anyway, who is up for a new story of some sorts, humans and ponies aside.
Aww, but the humans don't like being left out!

And with Wilson just withdrawing from the RP, there wont be another potentially huge force to counter the terrans and everyone else. One bad thing about this RP though is that everything is centered around keyguy and duck. They just had a massive war and here the new faction is, interacting with the terrans!
Hey, go have a genocide or something. The reason the RP seems to be centered around Duck and I is because the Iscandarians and the Terrans are trying to drive each other to extinction. It just so happens that genocides seem to draw attention. Duck just always goes for me because REASONS. Maybe my spine is weak enough to always bend to his plotlines.
