I'd be really jealous right now if I didn't know damn well that being ace/aro comes with it's own set of problems.
Also, yeah, there actually is a site dedicated entirely to platonic relationships, including explicitly "Just friends" ones. Though it's also explicitly for asexual people, and nobody knows about it.

Well, the thing is, the entire point of those sites is basically to hook you up with someone so you can have sex (Something I honestly find repulsive, but I'm also asexual so hey I guess I can't really talk about that). The interface for a lot of these is you looking through a bunch of pictures and choosing the ones that make you horny. I'd assume that when you choose someone specifically because they're hot and that makes the reptilian bit of your brain happy, then they say "Actually I just want a friend", it kind of destroys the entire point of the site. Because people don't choose platonic friends based on how hot they are unless they're really pathetic people.
