The terrain had been mountainous and exhausting for the horse, but Ryan was finally coming upon the pass into the city. Word had buzzed as she traveled closer about a festival that would going on, and she thought she could use a break from the road. Though she understood now why the city made for a safe haven: it was difficult to travel to for even a single person. She couldn't imagine an army trudging over the hills even for a port side city. With a flick of the reins, Ryan clicked her tongue to urge the horse to continue forward. He did, although with a tired grunt that she ignored.

As she pushed forward, the music of a string evidence found her ears and she narrowed her eyes at the path ahead. A single stranger was singing as he wandered. A happy fool, he seemed to her. He'd make pleasant, talkative company. Ryan hurried her horse forward, her few belongings bouncing as he trotted. "Hello," she greeted, her brown eyes lighting up as she smiled, pulling the horse up beside the bard, matching his speed. "It sounds like you're going to the festival as well? My name is Ryan."

Here's Ryan. This is pretty simple, but I'm hoping to explore her more in the RP.

Yeah, I'm here to post but I kinda expected someone else to have posted too, by now...

Cori watched Alexander for a few moments. Now that he stood, he was shorter than she had expected, but she shrugged it off. She also expected him to say something, anything. There were very few supers working within the ranks, and they all had their own flavor of insubordinance--but never strong enough to get in trouble for it. However he just stood there patiently, waiting on more information. He reminded her of a dog except for the fact she was fond of dogs. Relieved when he settled on silence, she nodded in approval and set her brief case on the table.

"As I'm sure you know, The Ray is being unveiled today. It's a means to identify supers. With the news, there is bound to be aggressive super activity, so we're going to be patrolling and running damage control throughout DC," she explained, but there was a strange tightness to her lips and furrow in her brow. She looked back to the super. "So, Alexander, tell me how you feel about the Ray." Her eyes remained on him, but as she spoke, she pulled a cloth to wipe her sunglasses clean.

Okay, I will work on getting a post up now!
Hey guys, sorry for my silence. I literally worked 20 hours yesterday and with the holiday coming up I've been busy. I will try to post today, but if I can't I will this weekend

The elevator arrived at the ground floor with a ding! as Cori re-holstered her gun and clipped her golden watch back to her wrist. She adjusted her white ponytail and picked her purse up off the ground beside her. Behind her, two men were going through the same motions as she had: presenting ID and removing items as they moved past security. As she stepped into the elevator and caught sight of their hopeful glances as they hurried to gather their things, she reached over to press the close door button without so much as a blink. It would be a long ride up to the twenty seventh floor, and she wasn't about to wait on anyone.

As she ascended floors, occasionally stopping for another worker going the same way, she pulled the super's file to go over once more. She had nearly a decade on him in age, and she sighed inwardly. A babysitting gig, but a necessary step in her career. At least, she decided, he seemed rather complacent for a superhuman. He would serve fine as a weapon to point at the enemy as needed, and nothing about his powers gave him an edge on a normal human being. It gave him a relatively low threat level, but she would remain guarded. Supers had no true loyalty to their government.

Cori looked up to see she was just about to arrive at the top floor, and she slipped the file away. The scent of tobacco still clung to her as she stepped out of the elevator. Easily enough she found the briefing room, and she stepped through its door without slowing down. "Alexander Simmons," she greeted flatly as she removed her sunglasses. "I'm your new handler, Cori Woods. Ms. Woods or Agent Woods is fine, but I'm not looking to be on the babysitting gig for a long time so don't get used to it." Her red eyes looked him up and down where he sat. He was about what she expected.
