Yas.

While we wait for the rp to continue, let me tell you all a dream I had just recently.

I dreamed that there was a man with no legs riding a horse with three legs into a mall surrounded by an entourage of some sort, whilst me, my sister, dad, and my parrot sat on the sideline in our SUV watching them go by.

I also had a dream about being in this huge ass theater with a bunch of grown up Disney Princesses. And the girl I had a major crush on this semester had her hair blonde (but I found out she was actually brunette, because of her roots and what not) and I dreamed that this blonde women who I could see completely except for her face, but who I most definitely assumed to be the girl woman I liked because her hair looked just like it did that day when we last talked, she was sitting there on one of the theater chairs next to me. And we got all cuddled up together. And now, I tend to have lucid dream, and it is with great alacrity I recall reaching out, in my dream, to squeeze her butt, only for the voice in my head to say "you have to ask first, dummy." So I asked, she laughed and said why'd you ask, and then I proceeded to squish her butt. That was a nice dream.

I also had a dream about going to the Bahamas and not being able to find a bathroom.

And that's how my summer vacation's been so far. I need to find a job is what I need...

I had a dream where a group of friends and I went to explore what I presume was supposed to be Tolkien's house (appeared in my mind as this great big stately manor surrounded by trees, at the top of a large hill), when someone said something a long the lines of "be warned; his inspiration came from dark places" and then I spotted this big fuck-off slender man looking thing made of shadows from in-between some trees. The shadow thing came screeching towards us and we started trying to throw things at it to get it to go away (I didn;t ask if I could touch its butt, although perhaps all it wanted was some cuddles) and then I woke up.
Bump!
Also I'm still in the process of writing out the first post for Atticus. Once that is done I'll be looking to incorporate him with some other characters/story somehow.

Both my characters are available for interaction if that works for you. Feel free to drop me a PM anytime.

Alicia Murphy, ageing wife of the Commissioner of Santa Somabra’s police department, sat across from Nyxvira Bloodbloom, taking gentle sips of green tea from her ornate china cup. The pair were seated beneath a humongous ripe-leafed tree which twirled upwards towards the blazing sun above, that Nyx had specifically chosen due to its resemblance to the ancient Bloodbloom Grove back in Ottershaw, as was the case with all of the greenery in her roof-top garden.

The two women could not have looked more dissimilar; Alicia was a cold, hard woman, with sensibly styled grey hair, small lips, dead shark-like eyes, and skin the texture of battered leather, whereas Nyxvira was a soft, corpulent woman, with a huge boulder of a belly, multiple flabby chins, full red lips, pointed ears, and a fiery explosion of scarlet red hair cascading down her shoulders like flowing magma.

“Thank you for meeting with me in person,” Alicia said in a strained manner, her body language tense and reserved “I understand this isn’t how things are usually done in this…line of work, but I like to conduct my dealings face-to-face.”

“I understand completely, ma’am.” Nyxvira oozed in her sweet singsong voice, dripping with child-like innocence “and I hope to make your dealings with my organization as smooth and free of stress as possible.” She reached down to the low wooden table that sat between them, scooping up a mushroom that had been cooked in garlic with her fat fingers, before popping it lightly into her mouth “We are here to serve at your leisure.”

“Everything here seems so…proper; like a real business.” Alicia said with an awkward laugh “you know, like you’d expect from a bank or something.”

“I like to create a relaxed an approachable working environment.” Nyx replied, a slick grin creasing her plump face.

“O-ofcourse.” Alicia stammered uncomfortably “I just…wasn’t sure what to expect, I suppose. Sorry, I’m not really sure how to go about this…sort of thing.” She scratched irritably at the back of her neck, her eyes wandering off into the nearby trees and bushes.

“Why don’t you start by telling me what it is that I can do for you today?” Nyxvira offered up helpfully, her big gold eyes sparkling with warmth.

“Why yes, of course.” Alicia murmured uncomfortably “Dennis wants to run for mayor in the election…once this whole fiasco with the power is cleared up.”

“That’s wonderful news!” Nyxvira exclaimed, clapping her plump hands together “You must be so proud of him.”

“Quite.” Alicia replied, wincing slightly “There’s just some…issues, a set of problems.” She struggled with her words for some time, before eventually managing “something I’m afraid might resurface, and cause him some trouble down the road.”

“Oh? Do go on.”

“You know how this city is, what these people are like. My husband is a good man. He’s made some mistakes, we all have, but I’ve forgiven him, and we’ve moved past them. Our relationship has never been stronger.” She spoke seemingly as much to convince herself as the Faerie.

“I’m eternally happy for you both.” Nyxvira said in a sweet voice.

“He had some…problems, you see, a while back now. When I was pregnant he was…intimate with some other women.” Alicia screwed up her face, looking as though the words were physically hurting her as she strained them out.

“How many?” Nyxvira asked, trying to appear as nonchalant as possible.

“Is that really necessary?” Alicia snapped back, before softening “Oh, I suppose it is. Sorry, this all makes me rather tense, I do apologies.”

“Please, take as much time as you need.” Nyx soothed in her enchanted tone.

The garden was silent for an uncomfortably long moment.

“Twelve.” Alicia said eventually, muttering into her tea cup.

“I see.”

“He told me almost straight away!” She squawked “the poor man could hardly live with himself. It was a dark time for him…for us both.”

“And you’re worried someone will uncover this information and try to use it to hurt Dennis’ chances during the election?” Nyxvira asked, trying to steer the conversation back to the matter at hand.

“Yes,” Alicia admitted “we…I tried offering these women some money, but one of them keeps asking for more and more, for money we simply don’t have! Ungrateful little harlot. I frankly don’t have the funds to continue paying her, and I refuse to be pushed around by some back alley whore any longer!” By the time she’d finished the old woman had gone red in the face, and her eyes were wide with fervent rage.

“What is it that you’d like me to do, Mrs Murphy?” Nyxvira asked in her sweet, innocent voice. She knew exactly what the old hag wanted, but she enjoyed watching people squirm.

“I…I want you to make them go away.” Alicia wriggled about irritably, her leathery forehead damp with sweat.

“You want me to make her disappear?”

“I want you to make them all disappear! That whole filthy band of disgusting, money-sucking, little parasitic wretches.” Alicia was shouting again, red-faced and flustered. “Could you…could you do that, for me?” she asked softly, lowering her tone.

Nyxvira pretended to consider for a moment, placing one fat hand on her multi-chinned face. “It’s doable. For a price.”

“O-ofcourse!” Alicia nodded enthusiastically “how much would I, ehm, how much would it cost?”

“Twelve girls you say? I’m sure we can come to some kind of, entirely reasonable and fair, arrangement that both parties will agree to be immensely satisfactory. You’ll find me to be far more rational than my competitors.” Nyxvira grinned, showing off rows of ever-so-slightly pointed pearly white teeth.

“You came highly recommended.”

“And with good reason.” Nyxvira boasted proudly “Now, you let me handle all the logistics. I’ll put the hit out, discretely of course –and with all the sensitive information appropriately withheld- , and I’m sure we’ll have plenty of well-trained professionals ready to accept the contract almost straightaway.”

“Oh thank you, Miss Bloodbloom!” Alicia exclaimed cheerily “you truly are a lifesaver.”

Nyxvira smiled warmly “I’m just here to do my part to uphold community values, and to serve good folk such as yourself. Can I offer you some more tea?”
Okay kiddos, to help with the problem of peeps feeling they've run out of ideas, or written themselves into corner's, I present to you...Nyxvira!

If anyone's lacking ideas, wants something for their character to do for a short while, or just fancies abit of collabing, then simply stop by Chinatown, and our resident Faerie crimelady will have some work available, based off of your character's speciality.
Name/Nicknames: Nyxvira Bloodbloom (Nyx)

Race: Faerie

Age: 117

Appearance:

Nyxvira is a squat and thickset young Faerie, with blotchy pale skin and a corpulent form. Even for someone of her age she is short, which only serves to accentuate her weighty build. She has a giant waist, very broad hips, and meaty legs; with her thighs brushing together. A huge gut protrudes from beneath her clothes; a great white boulder that juts out in front of her, with faint stretch-marks criss-crossing around its edges.

Her hair is a dry auburn, flecked with strands of bright red, and has been cut short, falling down around her shoulders.
While she has noticeably chunky arms, which is due to a mixture of both fat and muscle. Nyx possessing great deal more upper-body strength than one would commonly attribute to a faerie girl. Her legs are thick with muscle from supporting her full-figure, with a dense layer of fat adding some extra padding to them.

She has a round face, with a noticeable second chin, and the beginnings on a third. Bright orange freckles are scattered across her likeness, her nose is broad, and she had close-set sparkling gold eyes. She has a plump mouth, with full dark red lips.
Ethereal yellow wings, streaked with faint golden lights, protrude from her back; great incorporeal appendages that flitter in and out of existence, adorned with ornate swirls and patterns, which phase into being at her bidding.

Personality: A self-aware narcissist, Nyxvira cares about one thing, and one thing only; herself. Whilst not completely sadistic, Nyx does draw a slight sense of satisfaction from the suffering of others, and delights in meddling in affairs that aren’t her own. A survivalist at heart, Nyxvira is good at adapting to hazardous situations, and is able to keep a cool head in the face of danger.
Delighting in causing mischief, as most Faeries do, Nyxvira is right at home in Santa Somabra, where misery and malice are as much a part of the city as the grimy roads and streets.

Bio: Nyxvira grew up in her family’s ancestral grove in the county of Surrey in England, and lived her first years completely separated from outside influence, dwelling solely within Faerie society. Out of her six siblings, the gift of magic was most present in Nyx, and so she was made Matriarch of the House of Bloodbloom, and given dominance over her family’s grove and the other faeries within it. Once she was an acceptable age, Nyxvira received some tutelage within the primarily human outside world, and began attending various classes.
Initially, Nyxvira was tormented for her weight and narcissistic personality, cast out by the other children, but through a mixture of flaunting her prominent status, arcane charms, and intimidation, Nyxvira managed to work her way the social hierarchy; asserting herself as one of the dominant bullies and manipulators in her school.

Throughout her time in school Nyxvira would lure off unsuspecting children and painfully metamorphosize them into Hobb servants for her household. Several police investigations were launched into the House of Bloodbloom, but no concrete evidence was ever found. Whether this was due to careful planning on the arrogant Faeries part, of a hesitance by authorities to spark an incident with notoriously powerful faeries is unknown. For a period in time Nyxvira was the resident drug dealer at her school; using Hobbs to transport her wares back and forth, until she grew bored of her primarily human clientèle.

Disgusted by her francizing with humans, and the poor manner by which their sister mistreated them, the other children of the house of Bloodbloom eventually rose up against Nyxvira, casting out her and her Hobb thralls, and assuming control of the family grove for themselves.
Nyxvira moved from country to country, soaking up a great many languages and cultures; spreading mischief and discord as she went, constantly being chased out by furious communities. Overtime, Nyxvira honed her criminal arts, eventually building up a large network of contacts within the nefarious underworld.

By the time Nyxvira arrived in Santa Somabra, she had built herself a thriving gang of zealously loyal Hobb thralls; ready to tend to her every whim. Moving into Chinatown, Nyxvira and her Hobbs launched a vicious gang war with the local tong, eventually culminating with Nyx assuming control of Chinatown, via a mixture of sending her Hobbs on deadly suicide missions, and cleverly manipulating the local population with a mixture of skulduggery and smoke and mirrors tactics.

Nyx began running smuggling operations out of Chinatown, as well as offering mercenary work for up-and-coming hired guns.
Nyxvira’s gang endured throughout both world wars, thriving off of prohibition, and in the modern day the Bloodbloom Syndicate has grown into a force to be reckoned with; having enveloped several smaller gangs into its vast expanse.

Other: Faeries are universally feared and mistrusted for their wicked ways, but also held up as diety-like beings by some, more superstitious cultures, which is something Nyxvira uses to her utmost advantage.
@Onegymbadger Might I just point out that we have a very similar member whose name is exactly like yours? That's quite the mystery indeed.

Still nonetheless if you are truly new here, I'd like to say 'Welcome'!. I'm glad Ricardo Vigil isn't going to be alone in his despising those hunters, as they say - misery lves company.

I think its his brother. Badger told me he'd expressed interest in joining up, I just didn't put two and two together until about five minutes ago :P
Name: Hayley Varron
Alias: Wolfsbane
Age: 21
Height: 5ft 8 inches
Weapons: A sleek, bone, recurve bow; different variations of arrow; small daggers for climbing and attack; vampiric fangs.
Clothing: Long leggins, small crop top, with small converse shoes.

Appearance: Long straight hair that falls to her shoulders like a waterfall of molten gold. Deep dark crimson eyes, a full face with a curved nose and full lips. An athletic body toned from hours of hard training over her youth.

Bio: As a child Hayley grew up in the deep edge of the world. Her father was a hunter and she grew up learning how to hunt with her father. Late at night everyday she would go up to the roof tops and practise free running on the roof tops. But one fateful day her father went hunting on his own to get some food when he came across the hunters and got ripped into small pieces and died. Haley was distraught and wanted her revenge on the hunters.

I like the premiss, but needs to be expanded a tad. Try and include some more detail.
Okay here we are. Still need to find picture.

Atticus is approved. Feel free to put his CS over in the character sheet tab
<Snipped quote by Tsar Gatto>

Whatever it is that you find, I'm going to be shaping it into a character banner so don't fret over it too much.

An update on my current state: I read over the IC again just to get back into the noir-niche. However, I am currently in the state of limbo when it concerns Maharet, but "brick by brick", ever get that state of where you know what you want to write, but the words refuse to flow? It's maddening!.

Ah, we all know this state to well, I'm sure. Sometimes its best just to write and eventually it will take shape, other times its best to leave it for abit and wait for your inspiration to return to you.
