"I do however appreciate you asking Kat." Kaden said as a grin began to form on his face. "Well what about you cousin? You said you have been away from the Academy yourself. So tell me what have you been doing? Travelling yourself? Or did you finally find a boyfriend?" He asked with a small chuckle

She listened to his tale, her face calm and passive as she simply listened. She couldn't empathise with him, but she could sympathise - she was not entirely cold-hearted. She had seen his struggle in accepting himself, even if she had not cared for him at the start, and knew undertaking such a task alone would be trying in so many ways. She could not say that she agreed with his decision to spare the queen, more blood would be spilt as a result she was sure, but saw no reason to mention it now. When he lightened the conversation she followed his lead, finally walking into the cafeteria. "I have many friends. And yes, I suppose some of the time has been spent travelling to them. Mostly though I have just been.. entertaining myself. It's a big world, so many things to see and do." She said enigmatically with a small smile, clearly less forthcoming with the tales of her past couple of years.

"Sounds good to me cousin" Kaden said at the prospect of food. "I haven't had the chance to eat yet. I could use a quick snack before our first class starts shortly." He said following her down the halls towards the cafeteria.

She walked by his side, matching his pace as they made their way to the cafeteria together as they had two years past. "You picked quite a day to come back on, though I suppose given the day itself it's not a surprise. There is chaos in the air and not of my doing." It was escalating too, if the events she had bare witness to were any indication. A fools chase, a lock-down, the return of a god.. what could be next? "Though I'm sure you're more familiar with chaos after your expedition." She was silent, and seeing the doors to the cafeteria slowed her pace. "Are you ok? Really?"

Princess Adrienne Martell She accepted the wine with thanks, taking a small sip to show her appreciation. She didn't fail to notice how the smile didn't reach his eyes; she was aware not everyone smiled easy but she was also aware it could be hiding more. For her part she kept a small smile, it was a day for celebration after all, or at least it should be. No doubt some were cursing the new king in the shadows. Before she could reply another woman approached them, and Adrienne spied the stag. Baratheon, a house of former glory. "My Lady." She said in recognition of her presence before answering Jakob. "A man who does not take every opportunity he can would be a foolish one indeed; you are forgiven, Jakob Frey. And Dorne is as it always has been, hot and dry though fairer smelling than here. We do not get many visitors so far south, so yours is among the many new faces I have seen today." The arrival of the Baratheon girl hadn't pleased Adrienne but she was not as great of a threat, not here and now. But the arrival of the seasoned Lanniser knight unnerved her more. His presence was intimidating as it was and the tone of his words made his feelings clear. In Dorne she would walk among the vipers with no fear, but now she found herself surrounded by beasts. These were no friends of hers. "I ought to find my father, he could be worried." She said, with the same gentle smile. "It has been a pleasure." And with that she turned to leave.

On a side note, I have my last 2 midterms this week (Yay!) so I may be off and on with posts. I'll likely still be able to post once a day but if i disappear for a few days you know I've gone to hit the books :P

I try to participate. All my character development seems to be shot down. That's why I've stopped posting. I feel like my guys are just there no matter how I try.

I feel the same way sometimes, it sucks I know. Problem is if we just skip to the next day we still have the same problem. I think the day feels so long because there was that intense moment in the morning but it didn't involve everyone, so for some a lot has happened whereas for others nothing has happened. Obviously I want everyone to be happy but I don't know what will achieve that just now.
