A more recent inclusion to her costume include the hoverboard she carries constantly, either strapped to her back or buckled to her feet; as well as a pair of metal bracers strapped to her forearms, which unfold when given a mental command into a pair of small bucklers.

In the moment however, she allows herself to cut loose, improving speeches, one-liners, displays of power, and the like; so long as it doesn't interfere with her plans as a whole. She has been called deranged due to the fact that she wears a big smirk during all of her jobs, but truth be told it's simply because that is when she feels in her element, and most like herself.
Civilian Personality: Jessie has found her element in civilian life. By providing a place of fun and excitement fofor everyone, and a shop full of technological marvels for metahumans, she is finally comfortable with her place in the world. She often spends every free moment in her workshop or comuter lab, building and designing new technology. Whenever she unviels something new, or makes a big breakthough is when she is at her happiest.
Jessie also spends a lot of time and money on the Metahuman right cause, campaigning to block registration acts and providing aid to needy Metahumans. Though this appears altruistic on the surface, the truth is that Jessie is simply trying to create a world in which she will not be persecuted, and this seems to be the easiest way. She is also able to manipulate electricity in the environment around her, though to a lesser degree of control.
--Short Range Teleportation: Lightning Bug has manifested an ability to instantly transport herself and any inanimate object she can hold to any spot within her line of sight. She disappears in a bright spark of purple energy and reappears in a similar manner at her chosen destination. Currently she is able to teleport about a dozen times before needing to pause and rest for a few hours.
--Technopathy: Lightning Bug is able to project her will onto computer systems and technology, making it simple for her to access things she shouldn't or bypass security systems.

Character History/Origin: Jessica Beedle was born in Coast City California, the daughter of accomplished geneticist Gerard Beedle and his wife, Susanne. Her early years were filled with joy and comfort as her father's position afforded them a fair amount of wealth. When she was around eight years old however, her father presented some research stating the he believed humanity was not the peak of evolution on Earth, and that a greater change to the species was coming. This was seen as a ludicrous theory by his peers, and Gerard was eventually forced out of the field he loved so much. The family was forced to move out of their luxurious home after their saving dried up, selling off their assets and investments. Jessie watched her family go from happy and wealthy to poor and frustrated.
Several years after her father lost his position, Jessie began to discover her unusual abilities. They began as simple, explainable things; static buildup leading to small shocks, being good with computers, things like that. It wasn't until she was standing in the small kitchen one day, staring out the window and daydreaming as she washed dishes that she began to realize something was very different about herself. She went from washing dishes to suddenly standing in the empty lot across the street, dishrag and plate in hand. She ran back to her house where she was met by her concerned parents, who had seen her sudden vanishing act. After that she began to experiment more and more, discovering her electrical abilities and testing the range on her teleportation. Gerard was thrilled at this discovery, seeing it as vindication of his theory that humans were set to have an evolutionary leap, though he could never have predicted something as drastic as this. Jessie's parents encouraged her to push the limits of her powers, to see what she could do, and to test how much better she was than a normal person.
As the years went by, Gerard used his waning influence to help Jessie get into a prestigious tech school in Coast City, and most of the funds from the flower shop went to support his superpowered daughter. Jessie worked weekends in the shop to help pay back the debt she owed her parents, but soon found herself bored with it all. She still remembered living in the lap of luxury, and with these abilities what was keeping her from simply taking what she wanted? Of course, she didn't want to leave her parents in the dust, and so she began to concoct her plans. She used her new free time and a limited budget to construct her costume, a design she hoped would hide her identity and remind her of her parents nickname for her: Lightning Bug. Very few people cared as it turned out, especially after the events of the One Week War and the chaos that followed. Jessie actually made nice with a police officer who had been investigating her crimes, offering her technology and information about her strange alien heritage in exchange for the legal leeway to do what she wanted, as well as a closer look at the strange metal that made up the officers baton.
In the aftermath of the 'Thanagrian Invasion', Jessie began to collect the pieces of the fragmented warship that had plummeted to Earth, finding as many samples of the mysterious Nth metal as she could, and trying to replicate it. Her efforts have been unfruitful thus far, though she has heard rumors that the son of her financial benefactor may have found some information that could help her.

Her hair is dyed a multitude of different colors, from red to black to blue to green, with streaks of mixed colors running through, and her hair is usually tied in a loose bun. Her face is white, due to paint or some kind of condition is unknown, though she has a red anarchy symbol painted over her face as well.

Costumed Personality: Anarkee seems to live for chaos. Her motto in life is "We all die anyway, so live while you have the chance.". She hates social norms, and the unspoken 'social contracts' that govern most of the civilized world. She actively rebels against governments and laws unless she wants something from them, and would encourage others to do the same if they would just wake up from their goddamned programming and think for themselves for once in their miserable lives. Anarkee has no regard for personal property, and little regard for material wealth, viewing money as a means to an end at best, and a limiting construct built by the government to control the populace at worst. She will speak her mind, even when nobody around wants to hear it, and isn't afraid of doing whatever it takes to get what she wants. Even if all she wants is a pack of gum. On a good day, Anarkee could be content with some petty vandalism and theft, but on a bad day could try to enact a plan to wipe out the entire eastern seaboard. The problem is, those days are often the same day.

--Peak Mental Conditioning: Through unknown means, Anarkee has trained herself to the highest form of intellect the human mind is capable of. She is therefore immune to most types of mental probing and emotional influence, and is capable of manipulating and pushing her will on weak-willed individuals, making them help her as if it were their idea
--Chemical Immunity: Due to various paranoias and obsessions, Anarkee has spent years developing immunities and tolerances to most natural and manmade drugs, poisons, and toxins. She can stand in the midst of her own gas bombs and be unaffected.
--Local knowledge: Anarkee has spent a long time studying the people, places, and societies of Gotham City, and she knows it all like the back of her hand. Every street, alley, sewer tunnel, and rooftop is like an old friend to her, and she has a close understanding of GCPD's techniques and crimefighting styles.

--Concentrated release vents: Built into the linings of her gloves are a set of valves which can release a dose of her gas bombs in a limited scope, but much higher dosage. At these levels, anyone affected by them becomes uncontrollable, as their higher brain functions shut down due to over stimulation and animal instinct takes over.
--Disguise kit: Anarkee has become adept at disguising her gadgets as harmless pranks, making her toxin bombs look like easter eggs, or birthday presents. Using a small set of tools and whatever is nearby, Anarkee can make her 'gifts' nearly invisible.

Character History/Origin: Emma Graves used to be the sweet younger daughter of a family of immigrants, with a doting older brother and a set of loving parents. Unfortunately, that was not meant to last. With the death of her mother in a mugging gone wrong, her home life began to spiral out of control. By her late teens, she and her brother were practically living on the streets, supporting their depressed and alchoholic father. Looking up to heroes like Grim, the pair hoped to emulate the masked hero one day. Unfortunately, this is where things went even more wrong. Is a misguided attempt to follow his hero, her brother donned a mask and got himself killed. Emma disappeared after that. It is unknown what happened to her. What is known is that six years ago she arrived in Gotham declaring herself the "Angel of Anarchy". Since then she had been involved in several heists, robberies, kidnappings, gang-related activities, and just about anything else. Strangely, in most cases the things she takes and the people she abducts turn up in one form or another. Objects and money are usually vandalized beyond repair, and her abductees are generally traumatized and it is estimated it will take years of therapy for them to reach normal society again. Those few who remember how to speak have relayed that she told them over and over: "It's not about you, or the things, or the money. It's about the fear. The anger. The chaos. It's anarchy. That's the payoff." One subject, in a particularly lucid moment, described an event during his time with Anarkee in which she saw a report on the masked vigilante Grim, and had what can only be described as a temper tantrum, ranting about "This other agent of chaos bringing order instead of anarchy, working outside of society to uphold it, that hypocrit!"
In the aftermath of the One Week War, Anarkee flourished in the chaos of the world. She traveled to war-torn locations, spreading her message of terror and anger wherever she went. Soon, cells of Anarkee-inspired terrorists began showing up all over the world, including Gotham. Anarkee set herself up as the Archangel of Chaos, with only one rule to her Angels below: "Do what the boss says. Don't piss her off."

Costumed Personality: Anarkee seems to live for chaos. Her motto in life is "We all die anyway, so live while you have the chance.". She hates social norms, and the unspoken 'social contracts' that govern most of the civilized world. She actively rebels against governments and laws unless she wants something from them, and would encourage others to do the same if they would just wake up from their goddamned programming and think for themselves for once in their miserable lives. Anarkee has no regard for personal property, and little regard for material wealth, viewing money as a means to an end at best, and a limiting construct built by the government to control the populace at worst. She will speak her mind, even when nobody around wants to hear it, and isn't afraid of doing whatever it takes to get what she wants. Even if all she wants is a pack of gum. On a good day, Anarkee could be content with some petty vandalism and theft, but on a bad day could try to enact a plan to wipe out the entire eastern seaboard. The problem is, those days are often the same day.

Character History/Origin: Emma Graves used to be the sweet younger daughter of a family of immigrants, with a doting older brother and a set of loving parents. Unfortunately, that was not meant to last. With the death of her mother in a mugging gone wrong, her home life began to spiral out of control. By her late teens, she and her brother were practically living on the streets, supporting their depressed and alchoholic father. Looking up to heroes like Grim, the pair hoped to emulate the masked hero one day. Unfortunately, this is where things went even more wrong. Is a misguided attempt to follow his hero, her brother donned a mask and got himself killed. Emma disappeared after that. It is unknown what happened to her. What is known is that six years ago she arrived in Gotham declaring herself the "Angel of Anarchy". Since then she had been involved in several heists, robberies, kidnappings, gang-related activities, and just about anything else. Strangely, in most cases the things she takes and the people she abducts turn up in one form or another. Objects and money are usually vandalized beyond repair, and her abductees are generally traumatized and it is estimated it will take years of therapy for them to reach normal society again. Those few who remember how to speak have relayed that she told them over and over: "It's not about you, or the things, or the money. It's about the fear. The anger. The chaos. It's anarchy. That's the payoff." One subject, in a particularly lucid moment, described an event during his time with Anarkee in which she saw a report on the masked vigilante Grim, and had what can only be described as a temper tantrum, ranting about "This other agent of chaos bringing order instead of anarchy, working outside of society to uphold it, that hypocrit!"
In the aftermath of the One Week War, Anarkee flourished in the chaos of the world. She traveled to war-torn locations, spreading her message of terror and anger wherever she went. Soon, cells of Anarkee-inspired terrorists began showing up all over the world, including Gotham. It was there that Orin began to discover a small spark of magical energy within himself. Still, the exercise proved useful, as it gave young Orin a sense of what Atlantis once was, and gave him the time and space to decide what type of leader he would be.

After meeting his his historians and magical experts, King Orin concluded that the Wizard had chosen a successor, someone to safeguard all magic on Earth. This had rejuvenated the leylines and led to the newfound energies. Only the quick action of the Justice League halted the conflict, and several long months of subversion finally put Orin back on the throne. The rebellion defeated for noe, Orin finds himself wondering if he needs to take his mind off the world at large, and focus on his own people for a time...

Costumed Appearance: Turn Back appears wearing a tattered black hoodie, using the torn hood to obscure as much of his face as he can. He wears a thin purple shirt underneath, and a matching bandana across his nose and mouth. His dark blue jeans are distressed and torn from abuse, and are cut off just above his black, steel-toed boots. Turn Back carries with him a collapsible cane and wears a single black glove on his left hand.
Civilian Appearance: Tall at 6'1" and lithe, Jason is what many would describe as lanky. He has above average strength for his size, but not of any surprising strength. His face is hard beyond his years, his brow in an almost perpetual furrow. His icy blue eyes seem to pierce into ones soul, and he keeps his black hair combed back close to his head. His left hand is a prosthetic, one of the new models that link to the users nervous system and respond in a similar manner to a real hand.

Costumed Personality: Turn Back is most at home when his face is behind a mask. He has been known to engage in banter, witty or otherwise, while pursuing villains; and is quite energetic in his pursuits. AS a product of his recent past however, Turn Back has learned to make some hard moral choices. He believes that there are times when the best way to protect people from the evils of the world are to remove the source of the corruption wherever one can find it. He would like to say he takes no joy in these hard decisions, but when faced with certain elements of his past, he is forced to admit a certain level of sadistic satisfaction.
Civilian Personality: Jason is often cold upon his first meeting. He keeps very professional and businesslike, often not exchanging many words at all. Once he begins to warm up to a person however, another side of him comes out. Jason will begin smiling and joking more, engaging in conversation and sharing stories of his life. His life was dominated by the sport, from playing catch with his father in the back yard using stones when they couldn't afford a new ball, to joining a local little league team as soon as he was big enough. Jason't family had always been low on money, but his mother and father managed to scrape together everything Jason needed for the team. Unfortunately, it seemed Jason was doomed to a life of mediocre sports talent. He never really shone on the field, making a few nice plays and a good hit here or there, but not reaching the standards his parents hoped he would.
Jason's life changed for the first time at the age of 12. During one of the final baseball games of the season, he stood a bit too close to the plate in an all-planned effort to hit the ball with more force. His left hand was struck by the pitch, a fastball right to his knuckles, though Jason felt no pain. He soon forgot the incident however, until a week or two later, when his hand began to ache. Not able to afford a doctor, his parents looked at it, said it seemed fine, and wrapped it with soft cloth, to try and sooth the paid. Soon after, Jason's hand exploded in a flash of purple, the decaying energy from the baseball weeks prior finally taking its toll. The family was introduced to one of the facets of the 'American Dream'; privatized healthcare. The bills from the hospitals, all the tests done, and getting even the cheapest prosthetic they could find all but bankrupted the family. Each parents was forced to take another job just to survive, and that was when Jason's life changed again.
Late one night, walking home form work in an attempt to save money on bus fare, Jason's mother was jumped by a group of muggers. Desperately trying to defend her hard-earned money, she fought back against her attackers, who decided it was easier to simply pull a knife. Jason got the news before leaving for school the next day; his mother had been killed. This sent the boy's father into a spiraling depression, he barely ate or slept, and stopped talking to anybody at all. Jason did everything he could to help, but his father was left a broken shell of a man. Soon after, Jason swore vengeance on the criminals of his city, vowing to use his newfound powers to destroy the people who had taken both his parents from him and ruined his life.
Several years later, having made a name for himself in the dark corners of Millennium City, Jason was contacted by a vigilante named Ditch. She was putting together a team of vigilante heroes to combat a growing dark force known as Umbra. It was Ditch's hope that the group of them together could defeat Umbra and provide a glowing example of superhumans in their world. Sadly, this was not meant to be. Though the group achieved early success, their numbers dwindled little by little. Some leaving on their own accord, others disappearing into the night without a trace. Jason's sister Emma was captured by Umbra, who used mind-cracking technology to twist the girl's psyche and turn her against her family. This moral blow was felt by the whole team, and one by one they fell to Umbra's growing army.
In a last-ditch effort to escape, the surviving members of the group of vigilantes pooled their resources and built a machine, capable of ripping through the fabric of space and time, and hopefully taking them somewhere safe. Umbra had won, the world was his to rule, and those few remaining resistors would count it a victory to simply be safe. Jason was the only one to make it out. He activated the machine, powered by his own genetic mutation, and found himself in a city not unlike his own, in a new world entirely...

Costumed Appearance: Turn Back appears wearing a tattered black hoodie, using the torn hood to obscure as much of his face as he can. He wears a thin purple shirt underneath, and a matching bandana across his nose and mouth. His dark blue jeans are distressed and torn from abuse, and are cut off just above his black, steel-toed boots. Turn Back carries with him a collapsible cane and wears a single black glove on his left hand.
Civilian Appearance: Tall at 6'1" and lithe, Jason is what many would describe as lanky. He has above average strength for his size, but not of any surprising strength. His face is hard beyond his years, his brow in an almost perpetual furrow. His icy blue eyes seem to pierce into ones soul, and he keeps his black hair combed back close to his head. His left hand is a prosthetic, one of the new models that link to the users nervous system and respond in a similar manner to a real hand.

Costumed Personality: Turn Back is most at home when his face is behind a mask. He has been known to engage in banter, witty or otherwise, while pursuing villains; and is quite energetic in his pursuits. AS a product of his recent past however, Turn Back has learned to make some hard moral choices. He believes that there are times when the best way to protect people from the evils of the world are to remove the source of the corruption wherever one can find it. He would like to say he takes no joy in these hard decisions, but when faced with certain elements of his past, he is forced to admit a certain level of sadistic satisfaction.
Civilian Personality: Jason is often cold upon his first meeting. He keeps very professional and businesslike, often not exchanging many words at all. Once he begins to warm up to a person however, another side of him comes out. Jason will begin smiling and joking more, engaging in conversation and sharing stories of his life.
