Hey Lug, for the contest do you think you could extend it an extra week. I've got a great thing going but's it's turning out to be a lot longer than I originally thought it would be. I need more time.

I'm anxious to see the various entries for my contest. The downside of having such awesome ideas is that I can't participate myself.
I'm working on something for the contest but there is a possibility it won't be done by Sunday. If I need an extension I'll let you know the day before the entrees are due.
Looks interesting. What's the general plotline going to be? I understand the bit about "you wake up in a field, now try to go home", but I don't want to use a character that will completely fail to fit with the theme and setting we'll be going into.
That is more than likely entirely dependent on how many and what types of characters we get. I tried this once before, it fizzled pretty quickly which is sad but before that we had Wheatley in an android body from Portal 2, Terra Branford from Final Fantasy VI, the Heavy from Team Fortress 2, and Delsin Rowe from InFamous Second Son. It was very all over the place. I figure I should take stock of the characters entered before deciding an actual plot. For now it remains the simple matter of wanting to go home, or perhaps not wanting to go home depending on the character you picked.

Achilles bathed in the River Styx and the waters of the damned turned his skin to iron. It is more than possible that he fought against some immortals who would no doubt consider Achilles beneath them but the immortals did not have impregnably skin, they bled gold ichor.
Those statements are incredibly ambiguous compared to what you apparently actually wanted. 'what is known of them' could mean virtually anything from what the people know about then, to what is true about them, to what legends say. Clearly I'm not the only one to think so because of all the entrees only a handful only included what you were actually looking for. I realize nothing can be done now but in future try to be a little bit clearer in what exactly it is you want us to write about.
