Sapphire Rode - Beacon Academy

Sapphire turned slightly pink when Abel referred to her and Oswald spending time together as a 'date' before he departed. Sure Oswald was reasonably good looking in a rugged sort of way but she was not in any way looking for that sort of relationship. Fact was she likely would barely be able to hold together a casual friendship. The most she was hoping for was that if they hit it off she would gain a fighting partner. This definitely wasn't a date.

Sapphire was broken from her thoughts as Robert oblivious to what had been going through her head tried to verbally discern exactly what an exhibitionist was. Sapphire's momentary embarrassment vanished completely as her sure footed attitude along with an incredulous smile replaced it. She nearly laughed as Robert went through his mental logic out loud and finally gave up on figuring it out. If she'd been the one lacking information she'd have bluffed her way through it and looked the subject up later on in private. Robert was apparently much less closed off even about his own naivety.

Moments later he too took his leave and Sapphire decided that now was a good time to do as she had planned earlier and have breakfast. She enjoyed waffles and copious amounts of whipped cream and brown sugar before deciding that perhaps she should bring her fiddle along for the day's festivities. If they were going to the Music Box than chances were Uncle Danny would expect her to play a song or too. If she really pushed he wouldn't force her to play but he had a way of savoring her music that Sapphire had never seen in her father. Sapphire returned to the dorm to fetch it before going out.

It occurred to her that in order to play she'd have to remove the white gloves that she always wore. They looked a little out of place with the outfit she wore today fitting in better with her battle gear but Sapphire really didn't want to expose her hands to the sight of others. No doubt her team and a couple others had noticed the scars that ran over her palm and a couple of her fingers but it wasn't something that she was keen to show off. She didn't really fancy Oswald seeing them but she wasn't going to great trouble to hide them. If he saw them... well she was well practiced in the art of deflecting questions.

With her battered fiddle case strung over her shoulder Sapphire decided to walk the halls for awhile. Beacon had a most beautiful campus and a week was hardly enough to explore it thoroughly. No doubt in time she'd find all the school's secrets for a place this old had to have many but for now getting to know the layout was enough.

After several minutes of walking Sapphire stumbled on Beacon's agricultural building. Mostly it was used to grown the organic foods the kitchens used but if a student requested it they were allowed to have a portion sectioned off to act as a garden. Sapphire was aware that Gren had a such a plot and so was unsurprising to see him through the glass of the building.

He however wasn't the only one inside. There was someone else in the room with the boar. It was a girl with startlingly red hair and pale skin. The cloak she wore was grey with streaks that complimented her hair. Sapphire had never seen her before, she must be new to the school. Sapphire glanced between the two of them before realizing that Gren was slightly flushed. Admittedly it was hard to tell with his particular brand of faunus and through the glass of the house but Sapphire was fairly certain that he was much more crimson than normal. That could of course be due to heat but Sapphire got the impression that it was for a completely different reason.

Smirking slightly Sapphire decided that walking in on this scene while more then likely amusing would probably make her late to meet Oswald at the airdocks. With that in mind Sapphire left the boar faunus to his romances.
What's yours that people don't think it qualifies?
"A woman now wields Mjolnir."

Whosoever holds this hammer, if she be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.

Most religions are pretty wacky from one perspective or another.
Well he did take a pretty bad spear would to the shoulder. I had Tim heal it (hope doesn't mind) but I think I said it was a partial heal. You could always say that it never healed right, either due to Tim's inexperience or else the severity of the wound and he goes back to his home to recuperate. I suppose Arkhant was a little lacking in depth and color.
In a real world situation how would a dancer function in the army. I mean I know what they do in the games but how would that transfer. Would she possess some sort of invigoration magic?

Also is Arkhant an NPC now or are we going to have him killed during the mission?
Oh I thought you meant turn her into another member of the Reclaimers. If you just need someone to play her till the end of the mission I'm sure you could find a volunteer.
Syrena Sinclair - Westroad Village

Whether her actions were wise or not moments later the standoff dissolved into chaos. Habeen tossed dark magic at the bandit leader and true to there horrid luck some of it spattered over the dancer hostage. Seconds after that the dancer was shoved to the ground and the Reclaimers began to charge. Syrena prepared to let loose her magic. Perhaps she could separate or disrupt there enemy in some way. She certainly didn't want to immolate anyone. As she was preparing however Syrena felt herself yanked into the air as a Pegasus rider slung her onto his mount.

In a wild flurry of surprise Syrena's fireball broke out of the containment she'd been holding it and shot over the heads of the Reclaimers and the enemy exploding in glorious light over the watch tower's midsection. It wasn't powerful enough to do structural damage right off the bat but the wood had begun to burn. They didn't have much time. Her flames burned hotter than conventional fire. If any of the Reclaimers wished to climb the tower they would have to do so before the fire became too intense and the smoke chocked the air from there lungs.

The man whose Pegasus Syrena found herself riding was unfamiliar to her. He wasn't one of the Reclaimers but he seemed inclined to help as he apologized for dragging her roughly from the ground. As the winged horse landed on the top of the watch tower the Pegasus rider assured her that they could take the bandit leader together and he would stop the axe wielding man from hurting her. But who's going to stop me from hurting them both? she thought to herself. If her magic got out of control this far up they would most certainly fall to there deaths. Nevertheless Syrena pulled herself off the mount and readied her powers for battle. She didn't want to kill anyone but it wouldn't stop her from defending herself, this man and the villagers below.

Marcus Ambrosias - Westroad Village

Marcus stayed to the rear of the Reclaimers as the fighting broke out. He was not one for battle but for healing the wounds of the injured and easing the pain of the dying. He knew before this war was done there would be dead to mourn. When the army rushed the bandits Marcus saw his own first targets. The dancer girl had been struck partially by the Mire curse.

Marcus remembered that one well. The slime magic had not exactly suited his fancy as a teenager. It was too messy and somewhat ill inducing. Still the show it put on could not be denied and he and the Black Dragon Guard had used it to intimidate. He knew that even the smallest amount of it would be deadly if not treated promptly. If left on the dancer girl's skin it would cause her flesh to erupt in pustule like boils which would then explode violently spreading more mire over her body. It wasn't enough to wipe it away from the surface. Though invisible the magic had worked it's way deeper and as Marcus moved his staff and heal crystal over her skin he focused on that deeper layer. The surface stuff began to instantly dissipate then below if slightly painfully the rest of the magic was expelled. He did the same on the pieces of clothing that Nickolas' hands had deposited the rotten debris from the corpse. It wasn't mire and so likely not as toxic but it was safer to remove it just in case. The sludge would have to be washed off by hand but any magic that it held had been disbanded.

With that done Marcus glanced over at Nickolas' wounds. There was nothing that could be done about the nerve damage cause by the ice dragon. It was too soon to reheal it, that could cause further damage but Marcus could repair the muscle damage down the by arrow. "This will be quite painful but in the long run you'll thank me." It occurred to Marcus seconds after saying this that as a cloister monk he shouldn't have had the kind of experience with dark magic that would lead him to be able to dispel the mire so effectively. He should have asked Nickolas's expertise on the matter before performing the procedure. No matter it was too late now to dwell on what should have been.

Marcus pulled the arrow as straight and precise as possible from Nickolas' leg before he started the healing spells. It was simple muscle damage and the wound closed in an instant. Lastly Marcus dispelled any residual magic the muck on Nickolas' body that his desecrated corpse might have possessed. As a dark mage he would have a higher tolerance for it but all the same it was not good anyone getting sick from something that could easily have been prevented.
I would but I'm already at my two character limit.
@Burthstone I'll make it work.

@Lugubrious Is the dancer going to join our party or is she a neutral green character we never see again?
