Heroes of Beacon - the Next Chapter

Biography: When Skyra entered a so called "Faunus Research Lab" after graduating from Beacon, she and her life partner and comrade were captured by some crazy racist researchers trying to "breed" a new kind of faunus. And so they inserted one of Skyra's eggs into her womb inseminated with her partner's DNA. The researcher's plan proved to be unsuccessful when Skyra's newborn child turned out to be a perfectly normal cat faunus in every single way other than having two mothers.
Still, it quickly became away that Terra seemed to have a similar knack for the thrill and adventure of the huntress' job and her parents enrolled her in a school that prepared her for combat quite well. Now, though, she applied for Beacon to become as great a huntress as her two moms are.

Hey Pyro, why would the researchers be under the impression that fertilizing a faunus egg with converted female DNA create some sort of super faunus? From a genetic standpoint (assuming you ignore the obvious pseudo science at play) wouldn't that just ensure that the child is a girl because the female DNA wouldn't be able to provide the Y chromosome?

Smaller issue but why would someone who's clearly been shown (at least in contest entrees) to be fighting for faunus rights enter a "Faunus Research Lab" in the first place and why would they be released after the procedure failed given that however the public might feel about faunus experimenting on them is still very much illegal? Just out of curiosity.

It could be possible if everyone decided to drop all their tasks right but we have priorities to attend. I suppose that if we focus on finishing the missions starting on the 4th week of December and everyone committed to it then it can be completed by early January.

I do agree with you that it is slow-moving and we should all try to get our post out faster. It surprises me we are only in the 2nd week when we could probably be RPing the Vytal Festival. It makes me think that we should do a timeskip just to catch up with the RWBY season. Personally I think the main factor in why we are so slow is that we procrastinate too much when we have free time.

The Vytal Festival is in the third semester. That's at the very least four months from our current IC time likely more like six months. The point isn't to skip up to where the show is, in fact in the first post it even says that we want to take it slow and focus on training. Not try to write side characters filling in the background space of a running show or skip to action sequences. A time skip might not be a bad idea but six months is far too extreme.

I think there was a general consensus on having a family day at some point.

Also I suggested a timeskip after this mission to further the plot and see how everyone settles into life at Beacon over a longer period of time.

Sapphire has more selective tastes but I'd consider letting other people use her depending on who the other character was. @Multi_Media_Man, if you want to use Sapphire in the contest your more than welcome. I'd ask the same in return.
