I am pissed that Eternal Sonata never took off. It was nominated for RPG of the year, but of course, Mass Effect had to take it. You play as Chopin and most of the characters were named after musical terms. The combat was turn-based but did allow for movement and different combos to be performed. A limited time bar would limit the number of actions you could perform in a turn. The overall music and atmosphere were mind-blowing. I remember becoming astounded back in 2007.
Marcus rolled his eyes at the response. He considered a gray line for jokes and his humor stood right below it. His previous comments were only playful. "I think you are too sensitive, my dude." Chef Object frankly spoke out. He sighed and knew that this ride would last too long.
Marcus obviously lied about his driving experience. Once the garage opened up for the vehicle, the ride seemed dangerous. Every turn was hard and swift. The chef's hands gripped tightly on the wheel as he concentrated on the road ahead of him. The sound of cars honking only pissed him off; however, they had reasons. So far, Marcus drove past three red lights and almost hit two pedestrians.
Marcus rolled down his window aggressively. "Hey! No, you can't drive!" Batteries and change were thrown at the side of the vehicle throughout the drive. Marcus also had trouble driving over speedbumps; he never slowed down nor did he stop. Driving over them quickly must have made Kurt's ride unbearable in the back.
One More Post and We Will Reach Our Destination.
The young girl stopped her laughing immediately. She twisted her neck to see Liz standing above her. For a brief moment, she stared at her older sister while breathing through her mouth. Her strange behavior stayed unsettling. Eventually, she smiled spontaneously and began climbing up to her feet.
"Hi, Sis. Have you been chosen too?! I have been playing with the others!" She flailed her arms to the side and hopped frantically. Her enthusiastic mannerisms appeared too young for her age. Mud dripped and sprayed because of her constant movement. Even then, the pouring water did not make her shiver.
The little sister tilted her head. Her eyes opened wide and her jaw dropped in shock. It might take a while, but Liz would find out that her sister did not give her eye contact. By matching the direction of her pupils, Liz could tell her eyes were looking behind her. Her pupils moved slightly to follow something moving. Before Liz managed to turn around and see what her sister was staring at, she heard frantic running.
The noise of someone fleeing began to fade out deeper in the woods. Liz's sister took a few steps in the direction. "No! Don't leave! I thought she was chosen! Please! I'll behave!" She shouted sporadically. Her sister proceeded to kneel down in the mud and throw her arms into the ground. She continued to throw a temper tantrum.
The kid cackled at the woman's response. He held his hands up to his mouth. "You're funny, lady, but you're not the boss of me. No one is. Anymore." He flashed a gigantic smile. Though childish, it demonstrated only an unnerving atmosphere. Did the kid smile too hard? His grin stretched from one cheek to the other.
"You are different. He likes different. You should come with me." He approached Lydia with a heavy march. "We are a family. No one else. You will appreciate it." He giggled and raised his hand to grab Lydia's arm.
Not sure who else I want to put in here. I may have two more applications.
Name: Edward Fraiser
Age: 18
Class: Trainer
Hometown/Region: Johto
Appearance:
Photobucket ruined the picture.
Edward often wears black polo shirts as to them being real cheap at thrift stores. His pants usually look like they've lost color and sport a couple of tears on them. Expensive wear, or designer clothing isn't really his thing. A newspaper boy's hat is always worn on his head.
Due to his obsession with standing in front of the television at a young age watching Poke sitcoms, he's forced to wear prescription glasses. Things begin to look fuzzy without them. His favorite shoes are Converse, preferably black ones. The white space of the shoes have been drawn on with a sharpie; the sharpie sketching shows a pattern of Pikachu.
Personality: Edward is not shy in the least. He occasionally starts the conversation mainly to the reason being that the awkward silence bothers him. It's hard for Ed to make friends since he doubts himself a lot with thoughts such as, “I wonder if I’m annoying this person. Does this person think I’m lame?” Lying is not something he's proud of so he likes to exaggerate the truth. Doing this, he feels his chances of making a friend are high. He hasn’t really gained many friends throughout his adventure that weren’t pokemon. Despite his low self-esteem toward others, he does demonstrate strategic knowledge and leadership capabilities. He is willing to support anyone and give a hand where it is due. Ed would mentor a person as he would mentor his pokemon. Since he has not had many friends, he takes the concept of friendship seriously.
Ed is a bright individual. However, he lacks any common sense. He'll believe any little story you tell to him. His darkest secret is that he still has confidence that Santa Claus is real.
Equipment: Two pokeballs, three potions, and a flashlight.
Pokemon Team: The only pokemon that Ed has possession of is an Abra and a Scizor.
History: At the age of 14, Edward received Abra, his first pokemon. He named it Crow and it has been with Ed ever since. It would've been expected that Abra would've evolved by now, but Edward kinda took his time getting into the whole pokemon conquest. It just didn't feel like his time to rise yet.
Time passed on for about a year until Edward decided that he should get started with his journey. Nothing truly exciting happened except doing a few errands around town. His friendship with Crow did increase thus which made the adventure easier.
After some vigorous training, Crow became one of Ed's most powerful pokemon. Ed and Crow undergo rigorous training each day. The kind of training that is slowly making his entire team much more powerful by the month. Crow has yet to evolve, but Ed is waiting for the day he finally does. The abra is almost never concealed in his poke ball, hangs on his trainer's back. The psychic pokemon spends his time sleeping to store power for future battles.
His Scizor was the first pokemon that Edward caught at the age of 15. He proudly called it "Sekare". Viridian Forest was the place of battle. The bug-type was confident he would've scored a victory on Ed, but was surprised by the skilled abra. The battle was intense, but with Crow’s training and Ed’s strategic plays, the Scizor was unable to pull a win.
After noticing its struggle, Edward pitched a pokeball and claimed his first capture. Sekare could arguably be the hardest pokemon that Edward would ever have to train. It seemed like the pokemon had a horrible personality from the start. It was possible Sekare wasn't proud of losing, or probably Scizors are a stubborn species. However, through some quick victories with other trainers, the respect was starting to appear. Sekare considered Ed his way of becoming stronger and becoming unbeatable. After learning his defeat was no lucky chance and Edward was no push-over, he became obedient. Sekare is quicker than Crow.
Edward has the made the decision of heading towards the Toppe Region to further begin his journey. He has lived in Johto for a while and chose it would be best if he came to his home region another time. There have been many challenges Ed has heard about the Toppe Region and he cannot resist the rumors. He acknowledged this might be the best option to put himself out there. He might be low-leveled, but he has a huge heart to take on the many obstacles the region has to give him.
I've been craving a Super Mario RPG- based roleplay, but I do not have the faintest idea how to start it nor do I know of the plot. I'm not certain if I want canon characters either. More of just the overall "feel." Weird characters and weird enemies.
Edit:
I also want to pitch a roleplay based on the Gatorade pilot cartoon called "Blokheds."
Essentially, people fight through the use of rapping. Rap verses power up the user's attacks. As a person said, "It's like lazers with rapping. It's like Full Metal Alchemist with rap opera."
“Hehe. Now Krabby~ , you've gotta treat a girl right if you plan to get her wet~”
Feya's face turned immediately red. Due to her white complexion, the redness on her face remained clearly visible. The fitness woman became distracted and placed her attention to her fellow crewmate. "Lillian," she shouted from in the air. "That's not really ladylike!"
Feya continued her onslaught of kicks, but did not notice the slight aerial maneuver Krabbe made. Before she could acknowledge it, Feya found herself thrown aside. She gritted her teeth and realized the bounty hunter utilized her own kicking power for the advantage. Feeling a bit of relief after his gigantic claw let go, Feya prepared to land on the deck of the ship. Unfortunately, her back was turned to the ship thus she did not see the incoming flail.
Her back smashed against Lilliana's makeshift weapon. The wood immediately crushed after the applied body weight. Feya proceeded to fall right onto Lilliana. The pressure of falling possibly created a small crater on the deck. This current battle seemed like a proper challenge.
Feya's right arm prevailed the clenching of the crab arm, but anything more and she would be unable to use it. A huge colorful bruise appeared on the midsection. She began to feel a tight, numbing sensation. Her entire back and gluteus Maximus displayed multiple splinters. Getting back to her feet, she asked Lily if she was okay.
Fortunately, Lily's body did cushion Feya's fall, but how did Lily feel? A bodybuilder just fell from the sky on top of her. That's not something a person would look forward to surely. The fitness woman popped the air in her neck and looked at the bounty hunter applauding himself.
She grunted with annoyance. "Damn, you talk a lot," she scoffed at the bounty hunter. Looking to the side, she figured the enormous crab would become a problem. The fitness woman spat on the floor next to her. "Okay, Tight Titan can probably prevent substantial damage to any of my other limbs. My right arm is out though so I have to watch out for that. After I take care of the crab guy, then I can try to take down the big crab claw. It's a challenge."
Popping the knuckles in her left first, she called out to the bounty hunter. "Hey, I bet that I can take a fisherman like you in the sea." The albino woman burst into a sprint towards the crab individual. "We fought on land and in the air. Shall we make the final battle in the water?" With one hefty push on her legs, she leaped to the higher deck.
"How about it crab man? Confident enough to beat a human in the sea?" The fitness woman played a smile as she descended to the lower deck with a prepared punch.
