Hmm... I wonder how many RPs will be killed off with the downtime >.<
People still having issues connecting?
That was a surprisingly calm 24 hours after a legion post.

@jynmi88 is right, I couldn't even get on for 2 days, I just managed to post before the great crash.
“The infection of which you speak is known as the Flood. A biological menace that saw to the demise of my creators. – The Forerunners.” 5439 responded. “The attack has gone on for too long, the infestation will now be attempting to construct a Proto-Gravemind! If they are successful, the intelligence of the Flood will increase tenfold. – Transmitting optimal location for Gravemind construction.”

Across all devices, a layout of Union Station would be downloaded and a waypoint that directed everyone to somewhere in the centre of the station would be displayed.

“The Ethereal is correct. The Sol-Drive must be destroyed, however, ensuring the Proto-Gravemind is destroyed in number one priority. My sentinels shall clean up the minor outbreaks. All specialists should focus on the Sol-Drive and/or the Proto-Gravemind.”
As the comm cuts off, the ship that had entered the system began to glow as all its external ports began to open, allowing the internal lights to shine like a beacon in the void of space.

Then they went dark.

Millions upon millions of sentinels began to swarm like a plague of locusts towards the station with terrifying speed. As the reached the station, they split into many groups and coordinated attacks on all the Flood forms, using their central beam to burn them into ash.
Pen and paper are out and a newish event will be inbound.

On a side note, the site seems to be running slow today.

@Dealdric
I think Tau are kinda the exception to the rule seeing as they are technology based, and compared to some other chars on here, are very standard. My only gripe is the shortness of it all.
@Rockin Strings
That would be better.
Union Station Space, UCC Entry Point

Amidst the chaos and confusion of ships jumping to warp, light-speed and every other form of FTL travel at their disposal a large, streamline ship jumped into the UCC’s Station entry point. The ship, about 3,000 metres in length glided through the turmoil that surrounded it as if it did not exist. Flood spores that attempted to board it were vaporised by blue energy deck guns that fired with great precision and prejudice.

A long-range broadcast which was mainly intended for UUC forces blurted out.

“It seems that your expert on this parasite which we now know to be the Flood is now in system and is in command of this operation.”
There was a moment of silence as another, more synthetic voice spoke.

“Greetings, I am Five-Four-Three-Nine Ascendant Retribution. Monitor of Installation 00-D.”
@Rockin Strings

Not really a big fan of the MLP thing... they are worse than the Flood... they seep into everything and corrupt it.
The Flood are a mass swarm that if you don't destroy the body can just be reanimated again and again. They are about 4,000 and growing in numbers. The reason I stuck with them being the main antagonist is that players are free to kill thousands and at a later point (spoilers) millions of them without consequence to the overall story as you are not killing the brain of the operation.
In terms of Discord, I’m not a personal fan as a GM, as a player who is part of a team and planning moves with team members feels a bit meta. But obviously it does help.
I plan for major events to happen every weekend in which players can respond to during the weak.

@Rockin Strings
That's not 100% true. OCs are allowed as long as they make sense and aren't a p*** take character. ^_^
Union Station, Service Corridor

Screams of both the living and the dead echoed throughout the entire station. Evacuation ships came ant went as if a marching hoard of ants. Both UUC and UoD forces trying their best to slow the progression of the rising tide of Flood. – Their only success was in slowing them down. An automated voice called over the loudspeakers, announcing evac-routes and sectors of the station that were now sealed in hopes of stopping the Flood from spreading out further.

“We have to overload the station’s sol-drive.” The Ethereal said, blasting two pure forms into molten biomatter with his raised arm and the other casting a protective barrier over Senator Simms who looked up in disbelieve at the suggestion.

“If we do that, our symbol of hope will be destroyed.” She protested, standing back to her feet and looking at the wake of destruction left by the Ethereal behind them.

“If we do not, our symbol will become one of carnage and plague. We can rebuild it.” Raz’ Zek said, his helmet scanning for any other hostiles down the narrow corridor. Without word, he began to move forward cautiously, Simms followed.

Mortal fools…. Why resist the Song of the Grave? Join us in everlasting melody. Rejoice in the rebirth of the Flood.
