The first one counts.

So, as far as asking people around the building when we succeed on our checks should we just wing what information they give us or is there anything we inform you about or get your input on? I'm sorry if I seem confused. I've never done an rp quite like this before.

I'll update the people who are questioning others with information on what they'd say. Once I get on a computer, I'll do just that.

Uh oh. I posted (mostly exposition, not my finest work). Is it a problem?

Nah, all you need to do when posting character actions that require a check with the dice is make the appropriate rolls, post them for accountability on the OOC, and then post it. I trust you guys to make your own rolls. As long as nothing crazy happened then you're fine. I'd already posted what Dan would find inside David's apartment, so as long as it's in line, it's fine.
@Big Dreadyou pass with flying colors. I'll have updates for people's rolls and whatnot when I can.

As well, badge flashing with an actual issued badge from a Fed agency adds +2 to persuasion to law enforcement and civilians. The Fake DHS badges add +1. Badge flashing with a partner gives you +1 persuasion for each partner with a badge on top of that.

Of course, you only really need to persuade someone if they're overtly not wanting to be questioned, like the police and Det. Albright.

I'll add these to the OP's dice rules when I'm actually at a computer.
@Leidenschaft It still seems pretty good. Oh, also, is asking people about information stuff Persuade or Interrogation? I can't seem to add new rolls to the roll thread thing though.

Persuade rolls must be made on characters if they are not set on giving you information. Interrogation is the questioning/torture, when torture happens.
@PeikHo, christ. Wow, I, uh... Well.

Check the saving roll rules on the OP
So, I don't suppose Dan can enter David's building without badge flashing?

Here's my roll (I couldn't roll in your thread, @Leidenschaft), let me know if I've screwed anything up.

As pertaining to the score of 6, even with modifier, I'm adding to the rules on badge-flashing. A badge issued by any Federal Law Enforcement agency grants +2 on any persuade and interrogation rolls if it would make sense for the badge to have an impact. The Fake DHS badges grant +1.

In addition, if a character attempts to flash a badge while other characters with Federal jurisdiction are present, each character's roll gets +1 from each partner.

Also, you should check the big block of italics on the previous page to see what Dan is able to find on a successful awareness check when entering David's apartment.

Can everyone tell that this system hasn't been play-tested yet?
@Sovi3tWe can collab so the conversation with Carla can be had. Transitions between Javier and Werner asking her questions, as well as her answering them will be smoother this way. PM me what you got so far, friend.

Also, for anyone else, I'm a little shaky on my knowledge of how the dice function and its threads work, so I'm providing a link to a repository for the rolls in this game. I'm pretty sure you guys should be able to use that thread to keep the rolls for the game in one place. http://www.roleplayerguild.com/campaigns/186

Okay cool. That should speed things up in any case (Grabs m'D20). Oh, also, could we mitigate the penalty of questioning the cops if we come bearing counterfeit creds and coppy persona? Being the only guy with disguise I better play to my strengths.

Any strengths you may have, you may play to. As per my last post, folks without Federal jurisdiction are being issued DHS badges with fake ID.
@Leidenschaft
Since I'm a bit of an idiot, am I still looking out for suspicious people/guard duty as per start of the post or do I follow the rest of the team?

It is implied that Ben and Victor were 'assigned' to look out for suspicious people entering or leaving. You may opt to follow the rest of the team into the apartment section of the building, follow an investigating character, or ask around the lobby for any leads. Det. Albright is the one with most of the information pertaining to the specifics of the case, which isn't much.
