Maddy walked through the front door of Sunny’s making sure to hold the door open for Visage. The place was quaint and rather cute little place, feeling like an old english tea house, which made the name Sunny’s kind of ironic. ”What a cute little place.” Maddy said as she looked around, ornate table cloths and fancy carved chairs somehow just felt like something Visage would like. Maddy led Visage to a table and took a seat ”Do you come here often? This place seems pretty posh.”

”Not often, no. I feel like that would lessen the experience. Like if eggnog was available all year long, it would. . . Make the experience cheap?” Visage said, adjusting her beanie as she sat down across from Mire. Flipping the coffee cup already on the table over, she leaned back slightly. Almost immediately a waitress walked over, filling the cup from a steaming coffee pot. Motioning a cut off point at three-fourths full, the waitress stopped and looked over at Maddy.

”Do you want some coffee?”

Maddy covered her mouth and took a moment to think, she’d never had coffee before and didn’t want to get something she might not like, but she also wanted to look semi proper in front of Visage. ”Do you make hot chocolate here?” she asked, her head tilting ever so slightly as she stopped covering her face.

The waitress nodded, ”Yes we do. I’ll just go fetch you some.” she then walked off back to behind the counter.

Maddy’s eyes followed the waitress as she walked off, one of her fingers scratching at the cloth on top of the table. ”What are your thoughts on Creep and her misfits?” Maddy’s tone was hushed and ever so slightly agitated.

Watching the exchange with a slight smile, Visage switched gears, and looked around the room. As the waitress walked away, Maddy spoke up, and Visage listened with slight interest. Work, of course. That’s fair. She thought, as she considered the question, and how the answer would affect Maddy. ”Creep will be Creep. She’ll huff and puff, but it’s better to have her around than to make her into an enemy. I had the choice before you joined of losing part of the gang and Creep, but I’d have become the leader of the Rockers. I decided that I’d rather work under her, and keep her around then make her into a blatant enemy.” Visage said, slightly hushed.. She started sipping her coffee when the waitress came back and poured the hot chocolate.

”I’ll give you a few minutes to decide what you want off the menu.” The waitress said, going over to serve the other few customers in the place. Visage thanked her before she left, and waited a bit before continuing.

”Salem is. . . He’s on a short leash with Creep, and he’ll be on a shorter one around me. I’m trying to be friendly of course, but he’s honestly too obvious of a threat. The press will be hard pressed to sell him as anything but lethal if they get a whiff of him. Pester just doesn’t seem useful right now, but I honestly don't have a strong opinion of him. Hell I doubt if he has a strong opinion that wasn’t given to him.”

Again Visage sipped her coffee, watching Maddy’s response to her words.

Maddy nodded to the waitress as she walked off, and paid close attention to what Visage was saying. It was interesting to hear that Visage had a chance for leadership over the rockers but decided against it to keep another parahuman as an ally, Visage was playing the long game. Personally Maddy thought Creep was alright, but she also couldn’t help but feel like they would end up at odds some times. Then it was to Salem, a short leash was indeed a good idea for that one, not just because of his power either. Maddy noticed how he reacted to a simple schoolyard joke, slurs thrown out during a confrontation may just set the baby off. Pester seemed exactly as Visage said, Maddy shared the lack of opinion on him.

”That sounds about right, though I’ve got a bad feeling Creep isn’t going to appreciate me. I don’t know what it is about her…” Maddy sipped her hot chocolate. ”But what about me? Any thoughts on yours truly?” Maddy said striking a pose briefly before going back to slowly sipping her hot chocolate.

A smile spread across Visage’s lips at the question, before she leaned forward so that her elbows were resting on the table. ”If it wasn’t obvious I like you, and like having you around then I think we both missed some social cues.” She sounded a bit teasing, but her expression communicated that it was all in good fun. ”If you mean as far as your power, with one so versatile as yours have I don’t know if I need to say much.” She hurried to finish speaking as the waitress came back.

”Are you ready?” She asked, looking between the two of them.

”We’re ready. Ladies first Maddy.” Visage said, smiling at her own joke.

Maddy put her hot chocolate down and leaned back into her chair, looking up as the waitress came over. Maddy wasn’t able to muster a smile at the moment so she opted to maintain a rather blank face. ”I’ll have a blueberry muffin please, can’t beat hot chocolate and muffins.” Maddy’s tone was a little absent, like her words were meant to have some emotion behind them but didn’t.

Watching Maddy carefully now, Visage almost didn’t notice it was her turn to order. After beat, she said ”I’ll have two eggs over easy and some hash browns” Before she picked up their menus and handed them to the waitress.

”That’ll be right out.” The waitress said before walking away.

Maddy looked Visage dead in the eyes, a sort of manic grin creeping its way onto her face. ”Now now. Don’t you fucking lie to me. There is a lot more on your mind that you’re not telling me. See I like you Visage, your smart, cunning and cute. I like being around you, I owe you a lot too, my home, my clothes. All of that is because of you.” Maddy looked back to see her muffin coming and took a sip from her hot chocolate as the waitress place the muffin down on the table.

Maddy nodded to her ”Thank you.” Maddy plucked a piece of the muffin off and chucked it into her mouth before continuing. ”Now while I’ve unimaginably grateful for all you’ve given me, I’m not just going to sit here and let you lie to me. I’ve seen your fear, there are thoughts you have about me that you’re not sharing. You spoke of keeping a leash on Salem and I’m going to go out on a whim and say that you’ve probably got one on me too. Or at least you think you have, you’ve been buttering me up quite nicely I have to admit.” Maddy took a sip from her hot chocolate to help wash the muffin down.

”Look I want this partnership to work, but if you’re going to keep so much information from me, then I don’t know what I’m going to do with you.” Maddy’s tone wasn't at all aggressive instead being awfully calm.

Idly, Visage leaned back and listened to Maddy. The grin kind of creeped her out, but she kept a straight face. Despite the words used, she was calm, and Visage reciprocated that calmness, showing no fear on her face. When finished, it was clear that Maddy was at least aware of the game. Obviously just letting her have her fits wasn’t gonna work, how would Maddy respond to reciprocation though?

”You don’t know what you’re going to do with me?” She paused, looking over Maddy with almost invasively unimpressed eyes. ”What are you gonna do about your landlord?” The graying mid 40’s man who owned the apartment Maddy currently lived in was suddenly sitting in front of her, taking a sip of Visage’s coffee. ”Or that jogger who passes by your apartment almost every morning.” A tall blonde girl was sitting across from Maddy now, and leaned forward. ”You don’t know who I am, and more importantly who I could be.” Visage was herself again, and in her hand was a leash, leading to Maddy’s throat. Maddy wouldn’t feel a sensation there, but it was still an effective image for Visage to use.

You haven’t noticed the leash because I haven’t pulled on it yet. She jerked the leash, and took away Maddy’s vision at the same time. She enjoyed a comfortable three seconds looking through Maddy’s eyes before returning vision. ”You’ve got my attention though, you want to know what I think of you. You’re not a pawn, pawn’s are disposable. You’re not the king, king’s are essential. You’re my queen right now, and without any other queens on the board just yet, I’m going to keep putting you in places where you can clean up our opposition.”

Visage took a long drink of her coffee, and then spoke again, her voice playful again. ”And you’re not hard to look at.either.

The waitress brought Visage’s plate over as she finished speaking, and she started to eat slowly.

Maddy’s eye twitched as Visage spoke. The repeatedly switching of appearances obviously intended to intimidate Maddy only made her angry. Though it was kind of funny that Visage thought Maddy wouldn't just cut people down until she found the real Visage.

What caught Maddy off guard was the sudden loss of vision, her head darted from side to side until the effect ended. When it did Maddy's eyes turned back to Visage, pure rage covered her face. So Visage didn't fear her as much as she thought, and Visage saw Maddy as a chess piece, a queen. ”Don't do that. EVER, again… You may be able to blind me, but I can do much worse.” Maddy's hands trembled as she tried to hold herself back. ”I'll play your game, but not as a piece.” Maddy would pick up her muffin and nibble on the edges.

That answered the question at least, it seemed that Maddy was quite childish. She was all for threats, but when one was made at her she got mad and threw a temper tantrum. Wonderful. Visage was still perturbed though, she wanted to make sure the point was made, the guillotine over Maddy’s head clear. Threatening her outright wouldn’t be the best option though, clearly she wanted a monopoly on threats.”I won’t take away your eyesight anymore then. How would you like to play the game then? Have you decided?”

Maddy let out a sigh. ”I want to be a person. Not a piece, not an underling.” Maddy's hands were still shaking as she practically strangled her cup of hot chocolate. Visage better cherish this chance Maddy had given her.

”You asked me what I think of Creep and her goons in the context of the Rockers. If I described how I felt about them personality wise, you probably would’ve thought that didn’t answer the question. Then you asked for how I thought of you, and i answered it in the context of the Rockers. Of course I think of you as a person.” Visage said, seeming sympathetic.”If I don’t think of people strategically inside the gang then we end up with more casualties as a result.”

Maddy relaxed a lot after Visage finished speaking, god Maddy had almost lost her cool over some misunderstanding. Though at least she found out some more stuff about Visage, but there was one last thing she wanted to know. ”That makes sense… Though there is one other thing. What's your actual name?”

”Sarah,” Visage said, a slight smile still on her face. ”My name is Sarah.”
Hunters

The Remobra attacking Tyrin would recoil as it's tail struck his weapon starting to back up as to find a new angle of attack, as for the Remobra that was sitting back in wait it decided that now was a time to dive at Tyrin mouth open wide showing off it's fangs.

The Remobra Trove jumped at would shit itself slightly and Trove's attack would miss, though the Palico would find himself on the back of that Remobra, it would start reeling and trying to shake the felyne from it's back.

The Remobra Jun impaled would expire as the massive gunlance was brought down, and it's friend would get horribly burnt form the burst fire, it wouldn't be a problem anymore either. Now Jun was left with the option of helping others, though there were still a few Remobra circling the boat, so maybe he could try and drive them off.

Devrin slamming the Remobra into the mast would make it screech in pain and slide off the shield, though the snake was not yet dead. It stumbled and tried to correct itself giving Dervin or Luna a chance to finish it off, though there was a new pair of Remobra making their way towards that two, hissing and rattling their tails as the approached.

Yurel

The Apceros was taking by surprise buy the sudden advance letting out a roar and swinging it's tail at Yurel in retaliation. Scarp quickly scrabbled to his feet taking the precious few moments Yurel gave him to get back onto his feet. Sauron was now on his way charging from behind the Apceros, head low and posture ready to launch an attack. The Apceros' focus was still directed at Yurel as it planted it's armored shell back onto the ground taking up it's defensive poster again.

Ten

Ten's leap of faith would be successful, the Giaprey thinking it was an attack hopped back leaving Ten to fly into the ocean. Now in open water Ten had many different options, she was safe from danger. For now.

Swiper

The Pink Rathian's gaze would remain fixed on the massive Duramboros herd, she growled and scraped her foot on the ground before letting out a huge roar to make sure the Duramboros didn't come any closer. Her roar served little to disturb most of the herd, though a few took the threat and roared back this made the Rathain jump down from her nest and continue to threaten the one or two Duramboros reacted to her roar. The protective mother would not risk these brutes destroying her nest.

Silvia was slowly gliding through the sky when the sounds of mass hysteria suddenly echoed throughout the streets, she could hear it most notably from the center of downtown so Sylph decided to go that way. She couldn't help but shiver at the sounds of the screaming as she flew towards the source. Smoke was already spewing from crashed cars and there was blood of innocence everywhere! Bloody skid marks left behind by drivers who'd lost control and run other people over. It was pure chaos, Silvia had to stop this.

As she approached the epicenter she spotted a, thing. A scarecrow. Fear washed over her, paralyzing her. Sylph instantly lost her bearings and started hurtling towards the ground, crashing into the pavement with a painful crunch. Luckily the crunch was from the concrete and not her bones. Dazed from the impact Sylph slow picked herself up, her ears ringing as she looked around at the surrounding chaos. She'd not caught sight of the scarecrow again yet, but she knew that whoever they were, they were the one responsible for this.
Hogan remained curled up in the back of the Van, every twist and turn of the van making all the more queasy. At least the others seemed to have luck, Blue having found a target and engaged already, from what he could tell multiple contacts. That could be very much interesting, he'd not gotten a chance to clamp his jaws on something living in ages.

But unfortunately he wasn't sure how combat ready he'd be when they got there, sure he is a massive monster reptile, but at the moment he was a sickly one that felt as if he was about to throw up for real. Hogan honestly didn't care that they found nobody, I mean if they found someone it might have ended up in Hogan getting into trouble again. People get so upset when a giant Crocodile bites someone, I mean what do they expect Hogan to do? You don't just wave your hand into someone else's mouth and expect not to get bitten.

Back to the matter at hand Hogan just hunkered down and tried to calm his stomach down, he just hoped these contacts weren't far away...

Diana looked down the road Eve pointed at taking note of the meeting place, she then returned her gaze to Eve and Yoki's interaction. She could hold back her smirk as Yoki stormed off, Diana gave Eve a wave before looking over in Marlin's direction. She just looked at him for a bit before turning and walking off to go and interrogate some people. "I will see you later. Do not follow me." Diana's tone wasn't threatening in any way, but it sure as hell wasn't inviting. It'd be better for everyone if nobody saw her interrogate people, she'd gain a bit of a reputation for how well she could extract information, though she could get rather... Intense.

Diana would wait for Marlin to give confirmation that he would not follow before continuing to walk, quickly looking for some filth filled alleyway where she could start her search.

"Agh ack Rug noooooo!" Silvia pleaded as her big poofy Samoyed unleashed a flurry of licks and love, almost causing Silvia to roll backwards off her bed. "Okay okay! I'm awake I'm awake haha!" Silvia's words seemed to not affect the dog and it continued it's attack until Silvia placed a finger on his nose. "Lets get you some food then, that's what you're wanting right Rug?" Rug would simply run off out of Silvia's bedroom into the kitchen. Silvia slid herself off her bed and stretched herself out her alarm wasn't due till 8AM but she was fined being awake a little early, though she was going to have to train Rug not to wake her up anymore.

As she got herself and Rug breakfast she contemplated what she would do today. There was for sure people out there who needed some help, though she also had to contact Outsider. She'd been keeping an eye on him to see how he was going, though contact was limited at best. Perhaps she'd meet him if she went out and patrolled for a while, yeah that sounded like a good idea. So after making sure the dog had gone to the toilet and was properly fed Silvia took off for an early morning patrol, she doubted anyone would be trying anything so early but hey who knows. It wasn't like not stopping a crime was a bad thing either, that just means that nobody would have committed a crime in the first place.

Diana looked around this "town" they'd stopped off at, it seemed this was a place that was frequented by Grimm the signs of such damage made Diana wonder if they'd come looking for a corpse. She pushed that thought aside and looked in Marlin's direction as he spoke, maybe the crash knocked some sense into him along with breaking off his rib. "Splitting up could be a good option, though the reception this far out may make communications difficult. And losing communications would be a very large problem." Diana then looked down at Eve's feet as she awaited the leaders decision.
Hunters

Tyrin and Trove would find themselves confronted by a trio of Remobras all lined up. The middle on flew towards Tyrin going to lash at him with it's whip like tail while the one on left took a shot at Trove with some poison, the one on the right simply let out a screech and rattled it's tail.

Luna's attacks would strike true, the second blow slicing the throat of the Remobra open. And after Devrin covered her and handed her an antidote a Remobra would latch to his shield and try to bite at his shoulder from on the shield, this attack would leave it wide open to a counter attack.

Jun's gunlance shot would ground the two Remobra above him, one of which would fall directly at him. The noise of the shot also drew the attention of some of the circling Remobra making them screech and his in response.

Yurel

The Apceros was initially startled as the pair of Jaggi assaulted it with barks and growls, it let out a cry of it's own before taking up it's defensive stance. It turned and angled it's armoured back at the pair, it's tail swinging back and forth ever so slightly making it hard to tell if it was going to swing or not.

Sauron was still getting into position when the Apceros took a swing at the pair with it's tail, almost out of nowhere. Scrap managed to hop back out of the way but tripped, falling onto his side leaving him in a terrible spot.

Ten

The echos of the conflict would slowly drift away as Ten made her mad dash towards the ocean. Though unfortunately there was still a set of clattering claws behind her, from the sounds of it a lone Giaprey had been sent after her. The clattering would stop as the Giaprey jumped at Ten, landing right in front of her and cutting off her escape. But it was on it's own so maybe she could bring it down for food, or barrel past it and get into the ocean.

Swiper

Swiper made a good choice leaving as the rumbling got louder and the shaking got more fierce. Now it was clear what was making the disturbance, a herd of Duramboros were stampeding towards the marshland obviously drawn to the water. Swiper would be able to hear the Pink Rathian waking up as he made his way down the the slope. At the moment it hadn't noticed it's missing egg as it seemed to be more focused on figuring out what the disturbance was.

It's head suddenly loomed over the slop though the gaze of the Rathian was set in the direction of the Duramboros. Though being so close to the Rathian meant one false move and he'd be spotted for sure.
Hogan heaved himself back up onto dry land to meet with his companion as they were out of time, if only Arthur's lie had been one that would afford them more time... Hogan had quite enjoyed his swim in a proper body of water again and not the cramped pool back at his manor. No luck with finding their objective and a bunch of simpletons waiting for a show that wasn't coming, what a lovely situation. Hogan tilted his head ever so slightly as Arthur proposed his plan, great so he'd have to haul his ass all that distance? I mean sure Hogan loved a swim, but swimming that far because someone told him to? But before Hogan could put up any form of protest Arthur was already on his way to address the sheep and heard them using another lie. Hogan waited a moment before hauling himself back into the water, but instead of swimming the direction Arthur had advised Hogan dived instead his goal to hide himself from view for a moment.

While obscured by the water Hogan opened his maw and started biting at the riverbed, rocks and stray pieces of rubbish cutting the inside of his mouth ever so slightly. Hogan gathered a good amount of rubbish in his mouth before surfacing again, lugging his weight back onto land. He kept his mouth closed so that all the small bits of garbage and litter he'd gathered from the bottom of the river were safely hidden. Hogan then started to drag himself back towards Arthur and the crowd, acting a little more sluggish than normal keeping his head facing down a little, he kept this up until he'd reached his destination.

A awkward groan escaped Hogan catching the attention of anyone who hadn't already noticed the huge reptile make it's approach. Hogan then shook his head a little making another upset sounding groan, he then opened his mouth and emptied it's contents onto the ground a mix of litter, mud and blood splashed onto the floor in a rather unsightly display. Hogan then weakly collapsed next to the ugly pile of vomit Hogan hoped Arthur would be able to capitalize on this little act, though Hogan could have very much overestimated the mans intelligence.
You too. Take care friends.
