Controlled Chaos

Upon seeing the guard freak out, Benny let out a hearty laugh that made some of her bones rattle. He looked like Freddy Wulf when she put spiders in his fur that one time!

But then the BANG! flag actually did something great! Like someone threw a tarp over a bunch of rats. And seeing them scramble under it, well, she knew an opening when she saw one. And with the alarm going off, they now had a time limit. Benny stayed back and just out of sight for a second while Zhou tried the lightsaber again.

"No time like the present," she said, "but we've got to get moving soon."

She peered around the corner of the Millenium Falcon's exit, and saw Bruno's axe lift up and tear through the cloth here and there.

"And it looks like the big guy's having the time of his life."

Benny kind of wished she knew which Storm Trooper was stuck with Bondi under the flag. Since the slime had a way of reforming, she kind of wanted to retrieve it again if possible. It worked better than she expected!

Benny heard the gun go off, a small bang. This did not have the distinct p-chew, p-chew she expected of such a futuristic weapon, and upon seeing the wavy red cloth, saw red herself.

"Damn him!" she cried, though honestly, she should have expected this. Zhou Yu's lightsaber shot confetti before.

Speaking of the lightsaber...

Thinking quickly, Benny hurled the purple slime ball at one of the weird white soldiers. She wasn't sure what she expected, honestly, but the purple thing came from the lightsaber, and the actual weapons given did nothing. Maybe this silly thing might actually be useful!

"Yeah," Benny replied, aiming the pistol at one of the soldiers, just to see if the flag would shoot out like a dart.

Pretty sure she saw that in a cartoon once.

"We've got to get inside and rescue the princess. Don't ask me how; I didn't watch this part."

No! Crocus did NOT buy back that crown for a dollar, nor does he have a pink mustache! He is not the KING of FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S!

I made the Flubber reference, but I had it in my mind that the profile said purple, because I remember quite clearly jokingly singing "Purple People Eater" in my head while reading it. XD Gonna go with the Flubber joke made my brain cross wires. Either way, fixed. :)

Both of Benny's arms snapped straight as she finished the swing.

Damn! So close!

But the creature was coming down, and she had enough leeway to bend her right arm, swinging her still-erect left arm just enough to catch the slime thing as it came down again.

"Gotcha!"

Keeping a decent grip (and hoping the purple slime didn't just decide to melt in her bony fingers and leak to the floor), Benny reached to push her left arm back in its socket. And none too soon, because it looked like they were in serious trouble. She only caught snippets of Zhou's conversation with the soldiers, but General Quary's response was enough that negotiations hadn't gone well.

This just got better and better, didn't it?

Before any of them could respond or react, Bruno took initiative. Considering the axeman's obvious cabin fever and attempts to crack the window, she decided to stay out of his way. Benny briefly remembered the pistol in its holster on her new vest, and grabbed for it. She would wait for Bruno's retreating form to get out of the way and give her a clear shot at one of the storm soldiers, and hope that it didn't shoot confetti when she tried it.

The slime moved away from her, and Benny would have blinked in amazement if she had eyelids.

"I freakin' called it!"

Benny got back on her bony feet and set about trying to grab Bondi.

"C'mere!"

She was about to grab the little blob when Quary's announcement got her attention. That...didn't sound good. Benny then turned her skull to see where the purple blob thing went. Upon spotting the little purple ball, she made it a point to quickly detach her left arm, gripping the end of her humerus to have a full extension. Benny then swung her arm out to try to grab Bondi before it could bounce away again.

The thing could speak, and that alone told her the Chaos God probably sent it for a reason. Lulz, most likely, but still a reason.

She really wished she paid more attention to this movie at Freddy Wulf's sci-fi party instead of playing popcorn pranks. Still, she knew enough to know to play along for now and see how Zhou handled it.
