In any case,I'm working on refining the larger Ruling Companies, just did Volkov and gave an example and a little fluff on one of their glorious airship types.
Oh wow, thanks Echos! It's sort of spooky how helpful you've been being.
GM's notes on current weapon balance in-universe, and how NCM's work in some more detail:

Weapons currently have two categories, Energy Weapons (Which work by using energy somehow to destroy targets, like laser rifles or heat rays), and Kinetic Weapons (which use raw kinetic force).

Energy weapons have a few pros and cons;
Pro: They're usually very weight efficient.
Pro: Ammo is generally very plentiful, if not technically infinite.
Neutral: Depending on the type of energy weapon (like heat rays), their strength is changed with range. At shorter ranges (Knife fights), they operate at maximum efficiency, at longer ranges, they can suffer from blooming or simple energy dissipation.
Con: They generally have somewhat shorter ranges.
Con: They're somewhat more expensive on average.

Kinetic weapons:
Pro: Kinetic weapons are generally much more durable, and less expensive to acquire.
Pro: Kinetic weapons are also more damaging currently. Having a long history, they've been refined to perfection time and time again. Energy weapons are still in their infancy somewhat.
Con: Obviously, kinetic weapons are liable to suffer from major innaccuracy in certain situations.
Cons: For fairly obvious reasons, (Ammunition, complex firing mechanisms, and simply being large) Kinetics are much heavier.
Cons: Ammo is quite limited compared to Energy weaponry.

Of course, Kinetic Weapons can also be further divided into guided and unguided, but those should be logical enough for their respective upsides and downsides for anyone to get the hint.
Currently digging it M127, we'll start later this week. That's mostly going to b us waiting on the others and me thinking about things, honestly, hgheheh.
Nah, I have plenty of stuff already at the moment.

Anyway, I think we should start somewhat sooner rather then later (still quite a while down the line, writing up fluff 'n shit), gonna mention everyone and see if they're still available and all.

@ClocktowerEchos, you're obviously available.
@Nallore, you can join in any time, discuss crap with us! Give us a status update?
@Skepic, you too.
@Eklispe, tell us how you're doing, and move your current CS to the characters tab please?
@M127, git in here m8.
This guy's a bretty good bro, I think a lot of you will like him! He's... pretty obviously... highly paranoid, but he's nice enough.
I'm interested in galaxy unknown myself. I'd go full berserker though, honestly. Hhehehe. In any case, I'd personally do that.
Alright, just talked with a buddy of mine and he's fairly interested in doing this as well.

He's going to be a double agent for Howling Sands who to the corporations is a member of SAU and is currently employed in the research and engineering departmnts
Wow, those are great! I'll copy-paste them into the Ruling Companies list in the appropiate sections. Seriously though, that took a few minutes at most and it's actually really good!

There is ONE problem though, self-replicating nanotechnology, well... let's just say I had a bad experience with a powergamer involving nanotechnology that soured it a bit. I'll allow it, but can we slow it down from possibly being 'grey goo' level?
Sure, not too many though. Feel free to take a polar icecap one or make an australian one. (crikey amirite)

Oh, they need one because the earth has three biomes right now, in rough fractions: 3/4 FUCKING SAND JESUS ITS EVERYWHERE, 1/8th minor snowyness, and 1/8th Oasis. Nuclear war would do that to a planet, I think. Also, it's a big hovering train-battleship-tank! Who doesn't love those?

Oh, and PM me about plot points you might be deviously devising about your own corporations. Sorry but as GM I'm pretty sure I should assume direct control of all of the Ruling Companies.
