*James would smile at her as he looked down to Neric, the little Vid looking up at her as he speaks* "Oh I won't be canoeing with you, maybe swimming next to the canoe you two will be using. Though if you need pointers you can ask me or the counselors, it's part of their job to help but I'm there if they are unavailable." *He nods as he gets slight, trying to get a better curled up position between them. Laying his head down as he speaks up once again to Cecilia* "Have you done anything before with water perchance Cecilia?"

*James looked to the fire for a while, deep in thought as Neric slowly curled up between him and Cecilia. At first him not noticing till the tail bumped against him and her. Looking over at the cat as he chuckles softly, gently petting his back as he looks back at Cecilia for a moment. She admitted she felt safer around him, but he didn't say anything about it. Looking back at Neric before speaking on her words from before* "Well, you're safe with us. You have my word." *James smiling softly as he keeps his sight on Neric, a bit embarassed but he had to assure her that she was safe with them. Or at least he would try and keep her safe, but he couldn't leave out Neric in that*

*James would look away occassionally, not wanting to be staring at her or such either. Though his cheeks would get slightly red at her words, did she feel safer with him? Or was it in just a friend way? Regardless he took it as a compliment, though it warmed his heart. Giving her a bit more space though, thinking he was getting too close as he spoke* "I think we'll have fun with this, both get to learn how to canoe together." *He would smile at her for a moment, though he would enjoy her company. But he didn't know if it was the appropriate time for that or not. But he was looking forward to spending time with her*

"Well if you did, it would be funny. Though that would mean I have a nice girl to save." *Him chuckling a bit at his words, not trying to go all out of anything. Just a friendly thing, though she can take this a different way. He did admit she was rather pretty, but he ain't going to make any moves so soon. Scooting a bit closer as he whispers back to her, trying to make it a joking manner in his voice* "Though I have no idea if you can swim, maybe I'll dunk you in just to be safe. Naw I'm joking, I don't want anything bad happening to you." *James chuckled at the end, though gave her a smile when it came to the bad happening. True he didn't want anyone getting hurt, especially Cecilia. Not only does he not want her hurt, seems Neric grew on her a bit. Even James was surprised, but fate can make anything happen really*

"Alright, that makes us partners then." *Smiling softly at her words, though James couldn't help but chuckle a bit as Cecilia stammered after her saying she'd love to be his partner. May just be trying to open up. James speaking softly as he looked away* "I ain't the best either, actually never have went canoeing. Though Neric has when-" *Stopping himself as he thinks, maybe it's not the best idea to bring up too much of Neric's past. May not be the best day either, so may not be a good idea. Especially since most of it is military, and he already gave away enough to Helena and Edmond that he knew Hitler. So they probably know he's at least old enough to be from World War 2* "Ehh... ya he may know from his past, let's leave it at that. But I'll be there to catch you if you try falling in or to pull you out." *James said with a smile back at her*

"Thanks, I'll be careful Cecilia." *He smiles as he looks to her, looking away back at the counselors with the smile still on his face. It was nice to see Cecilia happy about wanting him to be safe, showed she cared about her friends. Or could it have been more? James wouldn't know that, but when the Counselors spoke about canoeing he was curious at first. Thinking a bit, though curious who would want to be a partner of his till Cecilia spoke up. James looking to her, smiling softly and replying to her question* "Actually, if you wanted to be partners. But if you had anyone else in mind I wouldn't wanna push." *Not wanting to be opposing, but showing he would like to be partners with her. Smiling softly still after as he waits for her response*

*James nodded at Cecilia's words, agreeing that anything happening to anyone would be a rather bad thing. He wasn't going to bring up himself just yet, it was easy to see she was nervous and anxious about the sparring. But he was curious if she meant Neric included or if she was worried about him, if she was worried about him in general then it would be flattering. But doubt it's the latter* "Well, I wouldn't want anyone else getting hurt either. I'll gladly be the one taking the pain over my friends." *Looking back at Cecilia with a smile as he sat down at the campfire*

*Though upon hearing the Counselors words, he was a tad bit disappointed and rather surprised. Though James shouldn't be, they have shown so far that they know almost everything going on. But it did slightly aggravate him that they are punishing everyone if they knew that some of us had ideas. If they knew they should be punishing those who had the ideas so they could learn while watching the others have fun. But it's their camp, their rules it seems. But the fight didn't happen, it was just talked about. Someone could have easily came to the counselors and tried to talk to them, it was just maybe ten or so minutes ago barely. Ten or so minutes ago too long it seems as he sits back slowly, listening to the counselors words with a blank expression*

*James got up with Neric on his shoulder, silently content with how it all went down. Walking with the others as he listened to Helena and Edmond talk to eachother, seems the two are getting along just fine as far as it seems. Looking over at Cecilia, she's been quiet during the whole deal. Walking over closer to speak softly, mostly concerned* "Hey, everything going ok for you?" *Mostly just being a friend, she looked like she was outcaste a bit from the group's talking. He knows too much about being an outcaste and that it is really depressing being alone a good amount of time. At least it is for him, he doesn't know if Cecilia is happy to be alone or not*

Details are just that, action hasn't been taken yet. I mean I've even seen it in schools were people discussed stuff to an extent and a teacher just outright said no. Maybe a bit of an attempt at letting them do it but it ended the same most of the time. Might even help get you in the RP a bit more even if the counselors agree to it or not.

Just tell them no, simple as that and it shows they aren't allowed or not allowed at the current time. It's just being discussed, it's not like they actually setup everything. It's just talk at the moment.

Also I thought they already rang for Lunch? Just looked at the post is all.
