Devon's eyes went wide as the not-so-hidden truth was revealed, leaning his right arm onto the bench for a second to swing his tiny legs onto the seat with him and stare at the time traveller before him. "Wow....First I get told I'm a human that's supposed to be some sort of legendary war hero, now I find out I'm talking to a literal time traveller! What are you doing in the past then? I doubt it was just to meet me right? I'm not THAT cool."

Devon looked down at his left arm and tapped it a few times with his claws. "Heavy scaled plates huh? So I'll have like, natural armor? That still sounds pretty awesome...." Finally, the excitement of the situation seemed to die down long enough for Devon to face Lilisette with an odd frown. "Oh uh...Sorry for pestering you with questions but one last thing. You know all of this about me, even though you said we've never met, and apparently you learned all this from history books in class..."

Twiddling his claws together the Totodile looked off into the desert beyond the gazebo's rail and kicked his feet. "This is probably gonna sound crazy, but then again everything that's happened to me lately is crazy. It's not every day you get summoned to do something as important as stopping a war..." His deep brown eyes shifted back to the Kirlia girl. "....Are you from the future Lilisette? Did you actually learn about me in uh....School?"

The excitement of this so called 'Mega Evolution' got to Devon too. It was contagious, a wide smile of his own overtaking his little blue maw as he also pumped his fists. Brown eyes glittering like a water front at sunset. "Whoooa! No way! I actually get that powerful!? When does this happen to me!? You said I evolve right? What do I look like when I do!?" As he said these last few words, he edged a bit closer to lean into Lilisette's reply.

Lilisette's explanation did nothing but confuse Devon even further. The small former human shuffled over to the bench and climbed up onto it next to the blue Kirlia. Looking to her with curiosity as she talked. ...I must be pretty famous If I'm in history books....But....History means it would have happened in the past.....But she keeps saying that this war I'm supposed to stop hasn't happened yet... When his oddly colored spikes were pointed out, Devon's tail curled around him slightly to give him a better view of one of the spikes that sat near the tip. "Yeah...I guess I do stick out with these things...They're usually red on every other Totodile...." Turning back to the apparently wise Emotion Pokémon, he smiled when she mentioned he was 'cooler' than others. "Oh really? Glad ya think I'm cool. You are too."

The next topic of the war...Era....Thing that Lilisette brought up further hammered home the point that something was defiantly....Odd about the Kirlia. It wasn't making sense how she knew all this. But before Devon could address that point, her last comment peaked his interest more. The Totodile visibly perked up as he faced her, sitting up and putting his hands on his knees with a curious head tilt. "'Awakening'? What's that all about? What's gonna happen when I get it?"

Devon leaned in to take a look at the image of an Ampharos emitting from the high-tech encyclopaedia. Whistling a bit as he dug around in his side pocket of his pants. "It totally does look like a Kalos Dex! Professor Rowan showed me a picture of one that he got from Professor Sycamore awhile back. This Viore Dex looks kinda...More squished? I dunno. Beats the crap out of my Sinnoh Dex though."

The Sinnoh native held up his own Pokédex. A slender red device with hinges on it's top that flipped open to reveal a duel screen display, a directional pad, and a large green button that slid out from the side of it. Staring at it for a moment, the teen shrugged. "It's probably not gonna get me very far if Viore is as diverse as everyone says it is. I'm due for an upgrade."

Then that same angry girl from earlier at the Pokémon Center came storming past them. Pounding on the door as if it were a punching bag and sounding just as rude and negative as when Devon last seen her. The sight caused the crimson hooded Trainer to shove his Dex back into his pocket and glare at the woman as she mashed her fist into the steel door. "Cool off will ya? You're the only brat around here lady. The Professor isn't even here, he left like five minutes ago."

Devon developed a wide grin when Lily actually recognized him. It was really only in Johto itself where he was known for winning the Festival of the Dawn's Contest.

The brown haired teen raised a finger and opened his mouth to speak...Then Nasir spoke up in his oddly dissatisfied tone. The boy turned to the guised Zoroark and threw his arm around the man's shoulders and squeezed him while giving his best smile. "Come on Nasir, don't be like that! You really were awesome in that Contest man. You even got fans in other regions!"

Looking back to Lily and Brent, Devon pointed to the embarrassed swordsman next to him. "So yeah, Nasir here IS my Zoroark. He just uses his illusion ability to make himself look human and speak human language. Cool huh?"

When asked if he was ok, Devon nodded and tapped the side of his head with a weak smile. "Yeah I'm fine...Just a bit of a headache...."

The huge bomb drop did nothing to ease Devon's odd chaos of emotions. The revelation that he was supposed to stop an entire WAR by himself would be enough to make anyone lose it. Which he did. The Totodile shot to his feet with eyes as wide as grape fruits. Jaws hanging agape. "What!? Me, stop a war all by myself!? Dude, I just learned how to walk as a Totodile a half hour ago! How am I supposed to stop a war!?"

A defeated sigh escaped his lips as his head tilted to the floor. "Well, if you don't know about my memories or anything....What DO you actually know about me? You knew my name, apparently knew what I looked like, is that cause I'm this special guy that's supposed to stop a war?"

Devon plopped down onto the ground in front of Lilisette, looking up at her and moving his tail slowly back and forth behind him on the wood platform beneath him. As she talked, and mentioned the word 'person'...Not 'Pokémon'....Something in the back of his mind began to tug. Not a particularly painful feeling, but it wasn't pleasant either. Holding the side of his head for a moment, Devon nodded slowly as a few tid bids of his past began to dug their way out of his clouded mind. "No I....I didn't know that. A person...Human...I....I think that's what I am...Er...Was. I guess."

Letting his arm fall to his sides, the changed human put both of them on the ground as he leaned back. Giving the Psychic a confused stare. "What do you mean? Will my memories come back on their own or something? The way I see it, you're here now, you seem cool, might as well tell me right? I could try to find a way to pay you back somehow if ya want."

Blinking at the extremely sudden mood shift from the strange blue Kirlia, Devon looked around at the other Pokémon giving them odd glances. The realisation that they were becoming the center of attention utterly horrified the Totodile for some reason, giving him a sense of dread that felt very familiar. Sweat beaded on his face as he then quickly nodded to Lilisette. "Yeah....Sure. Lead the way..." Leaning past the girl for a second he called out to both Breeze and Karaha. "Uh...You guys go on ahead to the guild! I'll meet ya there later!"
