What would appear as a quaint village to any passerby is anything but. Each night, the streets are prowled by horrors of the dark. Cruel men and women turned beast by the moon. Werewolves. They strike, in the dead of night, and feed on the helpless villagers.

Well, maybe "helpless" isn't the best word.

The werewolves aren't the only ones who wake up at night. There are others who possess powers and skills, and will spend the night searching, aiding, or even killing.

Each day, the village convenes in council. Set on the eradication of the werewolves that plague the moonlit passages, those who have survived the night deliberate, using cunning, logic and evidence to pinpoint the identity of the werewolves, while the werewolves attempt to deceive and direct suspicion away from themselves. Each evening, the villagers take a vote, agreeing to hang whomever is chosen, for the good of the village.

Now the question stands, what are YOU? Are you a humble villager, praying to live through the night? Are you a hungry werewolf, trying to cover your tracks each day? Or are you something else? Something intuitive? Holy? Or perhaps sinister?

This game can run quickly, and playing multiple rounds is the most common way to play. After each game, the roles swap. Two players who spoke side by side at the table in one round might be at each others throats in the next.

Here is a taste of some of the roles:

Human Faction

Werewolf Faction

There will of course be many more roles than this. Not every role will be used in any one game, the ones that do show up and the amount that show up depend usually on the number of players. Technically, a minimum of 4 players is needed, but there's no upper limit, and the more players there are, the better.
Hm so it would seem I did misread that.

Would it be possible for a champion to be unaligned with a deity but still possess supernatural powers obtained through third-party methods?

If by unaligned, you mean True Neutral alignment, then yes. If by unaligned you mean not associated with a powerful being, than no. The whole premise of this RP is that the Champions serve deities and other powerful beings. One cannot become a Champion unless given the title by a god who has deemed them worthy in their service.
Schradinger, I love your character idea, but I'm concerned with the many immunities/resistances, and counters he possesses. As a Champion, it's obvious that you will be faster, stronger, better than mere mortals, but to have hide that is as tough as steel as well as immunity to fire, and hard counters to most forms of magic seems a bit much. Even Herriman with his bulk, intelligence, and sinister magic has flaws. I would ask you to revise your powers, abilities and weaponry with this in mind.

Side note: bones with a hardness similar to graphite would actually be detrimental. Graphite is rather soft, which is why it makes for easy writing in pencils. This isn't a CS killer as much as the above concern, but as a chemist/physicist, I was slightly irked, lol.
Yeah a Blessing section would be pretty good. I'll work it into the CS template tomorrow. Other than that, Schradinger, please feel free to make a CS if you want.
Bump? The more people the better!
So when's the IC for Soul Story 3?
Is this not continuing anymore?

It's the massive speed boost Dag gave him (which ISN'T allowed for in the CS or the RP's pre-stated mechanics, only inferred from the setting), that concerns me.

Every player's Champion is the servant of a powerful being, one who could easily grant such a boon. Instead of banning such a thing in the future, I would like to state that it should be an option available to all players. However I would ask that such a blessing be used tastefully, and not abused.
Player parties don't always have to love each other. I'm in a Pathfinder group where one of our party members ended up betraying the rest of us, almost died at our hands, left on his own adventure, and then came back. And now we're allies again. Character development happens and it would be boring if everyone happily held hands all the time.

Yes I do think that randomly gaining new powers such as mid-battle is something that shouldn't be. Technically, the things Herriman has shown to be able to do are not in conflict with his CS, but if other players feel like he's a bit to powerful, I would ask that you tone it down Daglobster.

Eventually you will be more commonly fighting together rather than against each other, allowing a bit more freedom in gaining and expressing more power. And of course I'll simply scale the difficulty of your enemies to match.
In a combat role play that isn't based on stats, it's hard to make sure that everyone is on an even playing field. But since none of you can really DIE, and you aren't particularly antagonistic to each other, it's not so much an issue. I do have other events and characters planned to balance out some rather powerful abilities your characters might have.

Ultimately you guys will be allies, or at least that's plan right now.
