@RyuShura so my follow up question would be, is it within the realm of reasonability that Geno could think that the Caretaker is trying to say that we are the council?
@RyuShura that wasn't really my concern. Verbally, what the Caretaker said made sense. But as a reader, I very obviously can't hear her inflection or tone. That's where my question comes in.
"Eventually, the Architect discovered a complication with the core that we can no longer overlook. As per protocol 'A-13' of the programmed statutes inscribed into my mind; in the event of a Class-5 emergency, I must override any previous master protocol I had been assigned and awake the council in priority to ascertain new orders. As for what happened next... Well, that explanation is better heard from the mouth of the Oracle herself."

I'm not sure if I'm reading this wrong, but based on the context and grammar, I'm not sure if she's implying that she already woke the council or not. I was going to have Geno ask if we are said council but everything else she talked about there is in past tense. I'm sure if we were roleplaying verbally it would be easer to ascertain, like it would be for our characters talking to her right now.
This seems really cool. Count me in.
"I sneak up behind the orc and attempt to backstab it."
>Natural 1

"You sneak up behind the orc, and you reach around, gently caressing his chest. He is confused."
Granted, but Star Wars Ep. 8 and 9 become Harry Potter rip-offs.

On the topic of movies: I wish the Eragon movie wasn't horrible.
When the dark-clad man spoke, it came out not as words, but a raspy series of coughs and wheezes. Unaccustomed to spending so much time in a stasis, it took him longer than expected to clear this throat. After a long moment, his dry voice resounded into the small hallway. "My name is Geno-" he began, but was cut off when he realized he had forgotten his surname. He scavenged his mind for the answer, but came up empty. He continued with a defeated sigh. "Just 'Geno' I suppose. This Caretaker must have malfunctioned; We weren't supposed to lose our memories." His voice trailed off rather than find a resolution in the end of this sentence, as he looked past the group for a door or any sort of way out of this chamber.
I just can't think of anything that feels natural right now, speech/action or otherwise.
@ravenDivinity I'm sure we could make it work. And it would come up in use mostly in 1 on 1 conversations.
If people want, we can use titanpad.com to write dialog together in real time, and then have one person post the whole thing. Instead of many posts of one-liners back to back.
