@Virani That sounds like a great idea, I think that Athena would love to help with animals...though Matt would be cautious around them. My idea for my characters making a living is by Matt selling his less dangerous gadgets and robots online.

There is a very nice side of La Vida, where the elite live that are the higher ups for the refinery and the harbor. It's everyone else that's having a hard time. My characters are bums and have no day jobs...

Also your characters can actually live in LA, as I said it's only about 20-30mins away, just have a reason why your characters would go to La Vida.

Powers:
Telepathy- The ability to read minds and communicate through thought. She is able to keep mental links with the others as long as they focus on the link, she also limits herself on how far she will dive into her teams minds out of respect.

Telekinesis- The ability to move people or objects with her mind. she can also force push objects like larges boulders with enough power to crush them and has been known to use this force push ability to empower physical abilities. She can also create powerful psychic walls that can act as barriers for defensive purposes or to contain.

Mind push- Farther control of her abilities has unlocked an ability to suggest new memories, this ability can only be used on people with weak wills and a phyical connection.

Weaknesses: Athena must maintain concentration on her task or she will lose control over whatever she is influencing. Athena's mind can be over-tasked and has shown to have permanent damage to her explicit memory, sometimes forgetting things that just took place.

Skills/abilities:
Athena is able to learn quickly, such as: fighting techniques, computer skills, musical instruments, and even cooking recipes. However she must train her body to do these things and her cooking is only as good as the recipes she learns.

Bio:

Athena has never had a family that she could remember and has heard stories that she was found and a dumpster, however, this may only be a lie spread through mean spirited children who were in the same foster homes she grew up in. The psychic had found her abilities very early in life and was most likely the reason why she had no friends and was moved around a lot. People just seemed to be thrown across the room after making her cry or see monsters when she was frighten or mysteriously remember they were secretly the Easter bunny.

Finally after years of moving around Athena had learned to control her powers and was even able to make good friends with fellow orphans that were outcast like her because of their gifts. The three became inseparable for years and developed a family like relationship going as far as changing their last names to "Justice", because it sounded cool. Athena thought she had finally found happiness, however, it was threaten when a family wanted to adopt Matt. Naturally the only thing to do was to leave the orphanage with what little things they owned.

With Katarina leading the group they were able to survive nearly two years on the streets by stealing what they needed. They felt people wouldn't miss a few cans of food or money. This, however, didn't feel right to Matt and Athena then decided it was time to do something more with their powers then just surviving, it was time to pay back what they owed.

Matt is fairly new to this ability and needs more training, however he can shoot lightning from his finger tips and has ruined several of his devices by sending an electromagnetic pulse through them.

Weaknesses: Matt usually depends on his technology to get him through most things in life and so his common sense is a bit lacking and if he has no tech nearby he is fairly useless or so he thinks. He is very fragile and not very atheletic at all.

Skills/abilities:
Matt has the top scores in all the games he plays and is always ranked one in any online game he's ever played, he also has sick DJ skills and can throw a mean party. Athena refuses to acknowledge this as a skill but she will learn soon.

When he was around seven he discovered his ability to control technology with his mind starting with the TV, his parents quickly caught on and saw this as their chance to get out of the slums. His parents encouraged him to learn the ins and outs of an ATM and soon he was able to hack them and steal every last bill from them.

Although his parents had more money then they knew what to do with they still wanted more. One day at a job as Matt's parents called it, a trap was set for the trio and were surrounded by the police. Matt was taken from his parents and even though they truly did love him, they were not good influences on the boy. The young technopath was placed into a foster him where the children were abused by people were supposed to protect them. After a few months of this he finally found the courage to run away but was caught shortly after and set to another home, where he ran away immediately after and caused trouble wherever they placed him until the fateful day he would meet his future sisters.

Matt, Athena, and Katarina would followed each other around all day talking about nothing and playing pranks on the "normies" of the foster home, he had never been so happy in his life but this was threaten when a family came to adopt him. He wouldn't let this happen so he suggested the trio run away and live off the streets and just take what they needed, the other two agreed to this and took what they owned and left.

Ghost

Teleportation- The ability to move herself and up to two others, or an object from on place to another instantly. Kat uses these ability to throw her opponents off and get in surprised hits from any direction, she can also teleport objects and people without moving herself and has been known to teleport people 10ft in the air only to let the fall to the ground, though she must be touching whatever she is teleporting.

Phasing- The ability to pass through solid matter by passing her atomic particles through the spaces between the atoms of the object through which she is moving. In this way she and the object through which she is passing can temporarily merge without interacting, and each is unharmed.

Weaknesses: Although Katarina is at peak physical conditioning, she has limited stamina and durability. In a fight Katarina will drain her stamina quickly if she uses her powers too much. Teleportation also takes a lot of focus and if she is kept off balanced it could prevent her from using her ability.

Skills: Katarina was trained most her life in gymnastics so she is very dexterous and quick. And although she has only trained in hand to hand combat for the last 3 years, she has dedicate all her time in making up for lost time.

equipment: When Kat is out as Ghost she wears a white porcelain mask with hi-tech lens that allow her to see in infrared and night-vision. she wears a black hoody with a black police bullet-proof vest with the "police" tag crossed out with red spray paint. She also wears tactical pants with armor shin guards and combat boots. Kat holds a supply of large nails that she uses to teleport into her targets. (target have to be standing mostly still for this to actually work and complete focus.) One might accuse Matt for providing some of her gear such as the damp-null, a device that nullifies power dampeners, perfect for high end security vaults.

However, before then her life was pretty great, her family was rich she assumed her father was some sort of gangster though she never asked questions. She and her parents had a special relationship, she would stay out of their way if they stayed out of hers. She had been a regional champion in gymnastics and was well on her way to competing in the Olympics.

After Katarina's parents died all of their things were taken as her father was used as a scapegoat and with no other family to take her, she was sent to a foster home though she didn't stay for long. She had never had use her abilities before, she never needed them but now they were her ticket back up the food chain.

The young teen made some unlikely friends that would be come more, closer then her own parents. And when the three of them were about to be separated they ran. Even though this was the first time Kat didn't money she thrived, with her no-give-heck attitude she lead the others and they never went hungry. However, the other two went soft on her and wanted to play heroes...She didn't give a shit about anyone but them two, everyone else could burn for all she cared. Kat left the group but she is never far, she waits for Athena and Matt to come crawling back to her and then they can leave this shit hole, La Vida, behind.

Kat mostly works in Los Angeles, no wall or door can keep her out, she is hired to do some less then tasteful things as her powers are perfect for infiltration. For anything her powers can't help she has bleeding edge tech to back her up, Matt would swear its not from him.

Elemental Mastery- The ability to control every element including but not limited to: earth, fire, water, air, and lightning including all properties such as ice and vaper or even metal. She has also been able to take control over the weather causing hurricanes.

Elemental Slave- The ability to create creatures made from raw elements, she has been known to be able to make armies of minions out of varies elements such as: earth, fire, water, and even lightning.

Elemental Walker- The ability to leave the physical plain for the elemental plain becoming intangible for however long we remain in the elemental plain.

Skills/abilities: Victoria was a former Justice League member and has training in alien combat techniques and immense control over her abilities evolving them passed normal meta humans with the same abilities.

Bio: Victoria Blake was a powerful hero starting out solo but was invited to join the Justice League when she became an adult and served many years before decided to retire from being a hero. She wanted to settle down and marry her high school sweetheart and start a family, for a time everything worked out to her favor. She had a new born baby and her 3-year-old daughter, and her husband had opened a boys and girls club for the children in the neighborhood. His goal had been to save the children through education and love. Even though they could’ve lived anywhere they chose to live in La Vida because someone had to care, and Victoria was proud.
However, a man was paid to kill her and her family. She had not been expecting it, she was unprepared for something like this, she was too use to the comfort of a normal life even if it was in La Vida. When she answered a knock at the door she was hit in the chest by a blast of light, and if she was a normal human she most likely would have died but she was able to fade into the elemental plane before her heart was destroyed by the blast as it passed through her body and she dropped unconscious to the floor.

One week later, Victoria wakes up from a coma, she had taken major damage to her chest and had injured her head when she had fallen to the ground. She finds that her family had died that night even her young children. She nearly destroyed the hospital room she was in but was talked down by a nurse, however, the anti-meta unite was on location and through a series of events shots where fired and hospital rooms were destroyed.

However, it would seem the anti-meta unit was not the only ones after her as a black ops team began to chase her through the city of Los Angeles. She had done her best to defend herself, but she had caused the local area damage. When she had nearly escaped a young masked hero tried to take her in. Though she was not trained, and Blake easily took her down and finally escaped to have time to grieve and to find that man that killed her family, at any means necessary.

In a world of supers, you would think places like La Vida in the United States wouldn’t exist, a neighborhood in Los Angeles. Where crime is everywhere and the police do their best but it's just too much, the people that live the people born there either work as longshoreman or in the oil refinery and the only time the government takes note of this place is when their buses pull up with more homeless keeping places like San Francisco and Star City or down town Los Angeles as vagrant clean as possible. The gangs of this neighborhood run things, if you want to survive then you must pick a side, there was no way around it until now. A few months ago, three young heroes roamed in to town and started making their presence known by taking down some of the smaller gangs and stopping criminals from shaking down local business. The three heroes have began recruiting anyone with the ability to help, super powers or not, this won’t be easy but with hard work, faith, and a bit of luck we can save La Vida!

In what looks to be an abandon apartment building near the outskirts of town is the House of the Wayward Heroes. However, if you were not invited something strange happens to you, you start to feel like you are in a dream, dazed and confused then after a while you would find yourself walking back to town feeling like were possessed. So, for the people of La Vida it is known as Casa de la Bruja (house of the witch). However, once inside you would be surprised to find a hi-tech fortress, a wonder built and maintained by the resident technopath that took random old tech he found at a junk yard and created some cool stuff.

La Vida

More about La Vida, it is LA harbor where you either get become a longshoremen or work in a oil refinery that keeps La Vida lite through the night. Although a lot of De La Vida is run down, mostly near the harbor, there is a nicer part where the higher ups of the harbor and refinery lives. La Vida is about 20-30 minutes of way from town town LA depending on traffic. Recently there has been more and more children vanishing, off the street or other wise.

Don't be afraid to speak up, ask me if you would like to see something added to the story, I have stuff prepared but we can work in other things. I would like to keep things semi focused but slice of life stuff is fine too. Also if there is someone that can play a combat leader PM me, I might have an idea.
