Hey guys! Back once again! And yes, I have another kaiju idea in store. Been trying to get something up lately but due to hard work and such I was unable to do so until now. But enough with that, what's this going to be about you may ask?

As the title implies, this is going to be a massive crossover between various kaiju tokusatsu and animated films, all under one storyline roof. That means you have the Godzilla Series, Gamera, Ultraman, Pacific Rim, and hell I even added the Anime Neon Genesis Evangelion because not only is it very cool but rather fitting for this series. This will take place in the year 2024, during the very height of the Great Kaiju Phenomenon, which started in 1954 with the rise of the first Godzilla. Ever since, more kaiju had started to rise, but it wasn't until 1993 when the Global Defense Force was erected from the JSDF and United Nations to combat these giant monsters of doom.

So that's basically the gist of it. You are allowed to play both as a Pilot/Mech character, as well as a kaiju opponent of your choice. Below shows two things that relate to the RP. This first one is a timeline/list of possible Godzilla specimens that live/lived from 1954 till now. Yes, there's going to be multiple of them, however one will be the main character while the other two will be eventual side characters/plot-moving material. I just also happened to include a brief "timeline" with him in the spotlight of things. And below that is the GDF profile, along with it's respected branches.

Godzilla Timeline & Named Individuals

For over sixty years since his first official documented sighting, Godzilla has kept his crown as "King of the Monsters", living in the minds of people in both infamy for his destructive power and as a blessing for saving Earth multiple times. He was the one that ultimately kickstarted the Great Kaiju Phenomenon, whether it was by a simple legendary coincidence or as a sign of a sinister resurgence. 

From 1954 onwards, Godzilla has sparked a dynasty that lives on till this very day, making up of five four specimens, three being officially related to one another. The other two's one's origins are independent from this dynasty...

The first Godzilla, aka: Gojira, was first sighted off Odo Island, a southern Japanese fishing village, in 1954. Prior to it's sighting, it was originally an ancient species of dinosaur, known as a Godzillasaurus, that lived on Lagos Island for an unknown period of time. It wasn't until the early 1950s when American nuclear tests were performed in the area, mutating the dinosaur into the gigantic monstrosity we know now. 

After several unsuccessful attempts to kill the beast out at sea, Godzilla appeared off the shore of Tokyo Bay and ravages through the city. Tanks, jets, missiles, and even electricity failed to stop the kaiju, as it then returns back to the ocean on its own. It would finally be killed after scientist Daisuke Serizawa, created a weapon called the "Oxygen Destroyer", which disintegrates oxygen atoms and the surrounding organisms die of a rotting asphyxiation, and was ignited underwater where Godzilla slept. It was there where the scientist took his own life, as well as taking the secrets of the Oxygen Destroyer to his death.

The mission was ultimately a success, with Godzilla dissolving into nothing but a mere skeleton. The whole world breathes a sigh or relief, figuring that the threat was over. Yet they were totally unaware of the chain reaction it caused in doing so... heading way into a new era. The Great Kaiju Phenomenon has only just begun.

Status: Deceased

1954 wouldn't be the last time we see Godzilla, rather it would simply be his debut. Despite meeting its demise to the Oxygen Destroyer, there were more specimens out there. It's rather unclear how many are truly on this planet, but one of them would reemergence almost a year later. It was of the same species, if slightly larger, and it was fighting another monster known as Anguirus, an armored ankylosaur-like kaiju that was also thought to have been mutated due to nuclear activity. Their battle raged for what seemed to be forever, the climax being at the Japanese city of Osaka, where Godzilla killed the rival kaiju and ultimately went back into the ocean. He was then spotted off an icy island, where the Japanese Self Defense Force (JSDF) then attempted to submerge the creature in ice. Once again, it succeeded, in which it laid dormant for several long years...

In 1963, eight years later, he would break out of his icy prison and continues to ravage Japan, as if he was vengeful to his entrapment. As an attempt to defeat Godzilla once and for all, the JSDF had recently defeated, but not killed, a monster known as the legendary King Kong, who also happened to be a giant sub-species of the original Kong. He was deployed near Mt Fuiji where the nuclear reptilian was spotted last and the two fought, in which they both splashed into the water from on top a cliff. No decisive winner was officially declared, though some speculated that Kong was the winner, for he was seen surfacing first with no sign of Godzilla. But the nuclear kaiju was far from dead...

Throughout the 1960s - mid-1970s, Godzilla appeared randomly around Japan and occasionally in other locations across the globe. He has both fought against other malevolent kaiju, as well as teaming up with some multiple times. His home was among several islands in the Pacific, specifically amongst the Ogasawara Islands, with one eventually being labeled as Monster Island, the official home of Godzilla, as well as home to various other kaiju as well. He would fight monsters such as King Ghidorah (his arch-nemesis), Gigan, Hedorah, Megalon, as well as MechaGodzilla, an evil doppelganger of himself that would inspire the Global Defense Force (GDF) in creating their own versions to combat Godzilla, while also allying with Mothra, Angurius II, Rodan, and several others in some certain situations.

By the 1970s, Godzilla was phrased more as a hero or anti-hero, rather than a villain, since he often fought other kaiju threats. 1975 would be his the last appearance until a decade later. 1954 - 1985 is known in the GKP as the Showa Era. However, when the nuclear titan re-arose in 1985 another ten years later, Godzilla would never be the same from that point. This time, Godzilla returned with a vengeance upon Japan, even destroying a Soviet submarine in the process. What triggered Godzilla to behave back in the early Showa era remains a mystery. Regardless, he was successfully lured into Mt. Mihara and was eventually imprisoned in the volcano. 

The event marked the next phase of the GKP, the Heisei era, lasting from 1985 - 1999. Godzilla eventually got himself free from the volcano and lasted till 1995, for only a simple ten years. Despite his antagonistic beginning, he eventually became known as more of an anti-hero, having no problem in taking care of any hostile kaiju threats but not caring much for human life. He combated kaiju including Biollante, King Ghidorah (again), Mothra (again), Battra, GDF's MechaGodzilla (Or MGII), Space Godzilla, and Destroyah. He even adopted a Godzilla son as his own, who will go on to be Godzilla III (the current/official Godzilla). 

However, in 1995, the radioactive kaiju suddenly became melting down, threatening to vaporize the entire planet as we knew it! After defeating his last opponent, the hellish Destroyah, Godzilla finally dies due to nuclear meltdown, but it was only thanks to the help of the GDF via freeze weapons were they able to minimize the effects. While successful in preventing Earth's destruction, the JSDF was unable to prevent the massive nuclear fallout from rendering Tokyo uninhabitable. Remarkably, the radiation levels plummet as Godzilla Junior, who was presumed dead at the hands of Destroyah, is now fully grown thanks to absorbing his father's "ashes".

For the rest of the Heisei Era, the new Godzilla would remain around the territory of islands where his late father roamed before him. Other then fight several other minor kaiju and several skirmishes with the military, nothing much happened for almost four years. However, in December of 1999, on the eve of a new millennium, a UFO surfaced out of the Japan Trench. Godzilla was alerted to its presence and began following it back to, you guessed it, Japan, where the UFO eventually transformed into the kaiju Orga (thanks to absorbing some of Big Gs cells) and was defeated. This marked the beginning of the Millennium Era, aka "The Modern Era" the early phase ending abruptly in 2004 and returning in it's second phase from 2010 - 2026 (current RP year). It is in this stage where Godzilla becomes more mobile and pops up in other locations from both the Western and Eastern Worlds, and not just in Japan.

Godzilla fought only a handful of kaiju during the early phase, including Megaguirus, MechaGodzilla Kiryu (MGIII), Mothra (twice), Baragon, King Ghidorah (Earth "Good" version), and various others during Operation: Final Wars in 2004, where Godzilla wasn't seen for yet another decade. He then resurfaced in mid-2014, shortly after a different Godzilla (Nicknamed "Edwards" or "14") invaded San Fransisco to battle two MUTO kaiju. He has been rather active ever since, popping up in random locations within a span of days. He does usually spend his time on Monster Island however and "socializes" with other kaiju much more frequently then before, allying himself with a selected few on certain occasions.

Status: Active/Dormant(?)

In 1954, Japan wasn't the only country that was dealing with a Godzilla. Throughout the course of early post-World War II, from 1946 - 1954, a joint coalition between several governments, led by the United States, created Monarch, a secret scientific organization made in order to hunt and study kaiju (or massive unidentified terrestrial organisms; MUTOs). The first such creature Monarch studied was Shinomura, a deadly hive-minded radioactive creature composed of many smaller composite lifeforms. One of Monarch's operatives, Serizawa (not to be confused with Daisuke Serizawa; this one is the father of Ishiro Serizawa), also was intrigued by eyewitness accounts of a "giant lizard that walked like a man" that seemed to be chasing Shinomura throughout the islands. In 1954, Monarch cooperated with the United States military to lure Godzilla and Shinomura to Bikini Atoll, where both were thought to be killed by the Castle Bravo nuclear bomb "test." 

While the fate of Shinomura is declared dead, this Godzilla wasn't. Despite being confused as Gojira I at first, it was quickly recognized as a separate entity on its own. This Godzilla was twice as large compared to the one Japan dealt with, some saying that he may be much older, at least 250 millions years and has somehow been under a deep hibernation under the ocean for such an extended period of time. They nicknamed the Godzilla "Edwards", after a member who discovered him, Gareth Edwards. After the "Bravo" test, Edwards wasn't seen or heard from for decades. The government covered-up his existence with various stories, hoping that he would not resurface or when he does to be able to take him down effectively.

In 2014, sixty years after Bravo, Edwards finally resurfaced shortly after the MUTO pair hatched, the male in Janjira, and the female in Nevada. The reptilian monstrosity rose in Honolulu, Hawaii, where it briefly fought and pursued the male MUTO to San Fransisco, California in the United States. With s little bit of help from the United States Army, Godzilla was able to kill both MUTOs, and returned to the sea the following morning. It has not been sighted as of that morning, but he is classified as a dormant kaiju, being able to reappear at any time.

COMING SOON

The Global Defense Force (also known as the Earth Defense Force) is an international military force formed by the United Nations, whose very goal is to protect mankind from any kaiju invaders that either step foot on human territory or threaten to destroy the entire Earth as we know it. While they have access to various military tanks, jets, and even super weapons, they also have control over giant Mecha units that are entirely capable of fighting a kaiju head on with rather equal footing. There are several branches of the GDF, mostly with those that create different types of mechs and weaponry.

The GDF, or more specifically the Pan Pacific Defense Force, has also provided a "Serizawa Scale" (also known as a "Disaster Scale"), a category chart that classifies how strong a kaiju is, mostly based off size, firepower, and strength.

Category 1 (Danger-Class): The least powerful category, these Kaiju are the weakest type, often defeatable with individual tactical nuclear strikes and outmatched by mecha units. (Ex: Kamoebas, Kamacuras, Kumonga, Gezora, Rhedosaurus)
Category 2 (Fighter-Class): These Kaiju are more powerful than the Category 1 Kaiju and require greater firepower to defeat. (Ex: Onihiba, Sanda, Garia)
Category 3 (Warrior-Class): These Kaiju are more powerful still and are a significant threat to mecha units. (Ex: Knifehead, Anguirus, Zilla, Baragon, Gyaos)
Category 4 (Titan-Class): These Kaiju are incredibly powerful, usually requiring more than one mecha units to defeat them. (Ex: Rodan, Mothra, King Kong, Hedorah, Legion)
Category 5 (Uber-Class): These Kaiju are the most powerful of their brethren. They are extremely strong and can take huge amounts of damage while being unharmed. (Ex: Godzilla, Gamera, King Ghidorah, SpaceGodzilla, Destroyah)
Category 6 (God-Class): These kaiju are basically world destroyers, threatening the destruction of a country, continent, or the entire planet. Allying with any powerful and friendly Earth-friendly kaiju may be required. (Ex: "Angels")

In addition, the kaiju are also categorized into four factions, which revolve around their behavior and origin.

Earth Defender: An Earth Defender is usually an organic organism that is known for fighting off intergalactic invaders, such as aliens, rival mutants, or even going as far as protecting humans. They are still technically mutants, and can still attack humans when provoked, but are reliable during an alien invasion or when a powerful mutant is on a rampage. They are usually reliable to face a common enemy.
Mutant: Mutants are classified as an organic or cyborg who has an agenda of its own. It has no care for the world around it and may ally with aliens to achieve said goal, or occasionally with Earth Defenders in rare events. They cannot be trusted.
Alien: An alien is an organic, cybernetic, or even robotic organism that comes from space. It can come either come by itself or be commanded by an alien race. Usually they are trying to conquerer Earth, but not all alien kaiju are bad. Some have become Earth Defenders or mutants before. Regardless, they are usually a threat to Earth.
GDF: While very uncommon, kaiju can sometimes be used to help serve the GDF with protecting humanity. While it doesn't apply to robot mechs, cyborgs, kaiju-transforming humans, or highly-intelligent kaiju can fight for the GDF. Can be used reliably.

Leader: (UN Secretary-General) António Guterres

G-Force is an international joint military organization formed by the United Nations and the J.S.D.F. It is the military-branch of the Global Defense Force, and had replaced the JSDF by 1993. Their specialty is mostly in combating Godzilla kaiju and other Titan & Uber-Class kaiju via mechs and through other various weaponry. They have control over MechaGodzilla II, MechaGodzilla III "Kiryu", MOGEURA, Super X, Super X II, Super X III, Gortengo, and various other mechs and Maser tanks, artillery, and jets. They usually appear at the scene of battle first and have bases all across the world in North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Leader: Marshal Stacker Pentecost

The Pan Pacific Defense Corps. (abbreviated PPDC) is an organization created by the United Nations and a branch of the GDF. The Defense Corps represents an international alliance of twenty-one countries across the Pacific Rim, bound together by the shared goal of containing, combating and defeating the Kaiju. They're famous for their giant, towering, humanoid-looking mechs, known as Jaegers. Their sister organization, the Pan Atlantic Defense Force (PADF), have bases lined across the Atlantic coastline, but are not as big as their bigger brother. Notable Jaegers include Gipsy Danger, Striker Eureka, Crimson Typhoon, and Cherno Alpha. Their expertise is against the Rift Kaiju, those who come out of portals called Rifts in the Pacific. They are also the founders of the "Serizawa Scale".

Leader: Commander Gendo Ikari

NERV is a paramilitary special agency branch of the GDF nominally under the control of the United Nations. Originally founded to combat the alien kaiju known as "Angels", they created massive cyborg units, made from the DNA of the First Angel, Adam, called Evangelions. They were able to stop the coming of "Third Impact", an event if triggered would've destroyed the entire world, but shady documents on a project known simply as "The Human Instrumentality Project" were later leaked to the public on the account on SEELE, a secret organization that has rumored to be put down as of this date. Despite this, the Organization was pardoned, but kept under a watchful eye by the GDF. With the Angels now out of the way, the Evangelion units are often used as elite units to combat more high class kaiju threats. It has several branch facilities in specific parts of the world, with two being confirmed in the US, one in Germany, and one in China. Notable Evangelion Units include Units 00, 01, 02, and 03.

The Ultra Guardian Defense Force (UGDF) is a GDF rescue force branch of the GDF. They're mostly tasked in defending against small scale kaiju attacks as well as occasionally in large scale evacuations or rescue missions across the world. What makes them special however, is the fact that they are able to contact to the Land of Light, where the Ultramen live in Nebula M78. Every year, the Space Garrison in Nebula M78 send out and renew an Ultraman to aid in the UGDF's efforts of rescue and in beating down kaiju threats when no nearby GDF unit is available for deployment or as a last second reinforcement. It's HQ is in Osaka, Japan. Notable Ultramen that helped the UGDF include: the original Ultraman, Ultraseven, Ultraman Leo, Ultraman Max, Ultraman Mebius, Ultraman Taro, Zoffy, and various others.
