Once upon a time, I used to cheer for May the 4th... now I cry with disappointment. *Except Clone Wars S7 and the Mandalorian - they are awesome*
At 7:14 AM, TERRA officials detected a sequence of abnormal volcanic activity coming from within the massive volcano of Krakatoa. It had been rather quiet over the past two months, with only one small strombolian eruption happening back on October, 15th. Such events were not unnecessarily uncommon and most of these didn't produce much of an alarm towards the local weather channels. However, they had no idea of what actually lurked within the trembling active volcano.
No one but TERRA.
And even then, the event happened so suddenly and with very little warning. When the volcano began to produce minor explosions and earthquakes, TERRA initiatives were quick to investigate this phenomenon. However, only a few minutes in and several massive explosions rocked the entire volcano, producing a deafening boom that could be heard for miles on end. The islands of Sumatra and Java were amongst the ones which felt the brunt of the sonic boom. But what followed next would forever change how humanity is seen across the world.
Followed by the explosion, a massive low-pitched scream emanated from the mouth of Krakatoa. Many would first believe for it to have come from some artificial source - perhaps coming from a robot or speaker - but what crawled out of the volcano would say otherwise. Two massive wings peered from the black smoke, followed by a massive beak piercing through to greet the outside. With only a single flap of its wings, the titan of the skies would finally reveal himself to the world for the first time in several millennia.
The Crimson Devil - Apollyon - has finally taken flight once more.
As code-red alarms blared rapidly within TERRA's headquarters, the ancient titan took to the skies as it would make it's way northwards towards Singapore. By the time it was detected several miles away, it was already too late for the ill-prepared city. As he approached the city, Apollyon was flying low to the ground - almost as if he was merely skipping across it - and his sheer size and speed was enough to rip through the metropolis alone. The intense wind force erupted every building from their foundations and flung large debris and even people from the ground. Wherever he flew, he would bring ruin to those below him. It was simply sheer chaos that erupted through Singapore.
And so raised another Titan on a day that would go down in infamy...
1). Mario ---> Bowser: - Always love me some Bowser (played as him before). I'm pretty sure we'll meet Mario on the travels so he can be placed aside for later.
2). Mallow ---> Samus: - Also love me some Samus. (Also played as her before)
3). Smithy ---> Monster Hunter: Considering we have a god-damn Rathalos in Ultimate, I would love to recreate that Hunter character I attempted playing in a RP long ago.
Game Origin: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (1996)
Personality: Geno's personality is strongly based on his confidence and attitude. As a warrior/authority figure from Star Road, Geno holds extremely high regards to his home on Star Road and his strong sense of duty and responsibility makes him want to help the citizens of the worlds that he travels too. This includes helping out people in any situation - difficult or easy - and confronting the enemy - even if the enemy is in fact way stronger than him. However, he is also quite amiable and is quick to make friends with many people whom he crosses upon, such as Mario and the nimbus Mallow.
He even worries over the "ownership" of his physical form, and promises to return the body to the home from whence it came once he is finished with his duty.
Background: Geno didn't start off in the current form that he resides in. He was originally a "Star Being" that lived on Star Road with the other star species and was one of the warriors who protected it. He and the other Stars lived in peace while looking over the Mushroom Kingdom. However, when the vile Smithy launches his attack on Mushroom Kingdom, he sends the giant sword-creature Exor to crash upon Bowser's Castle and use it as their base of operations. Yet as Exor fell from the sky, he shatters the Star Road - sending seven Star Pieces to become scattered throughout Star Road as a result. With the Star Road broken, wishes cannot be granted - something which Smithy also wanted in order to replace said wishes with weapons. Because of this, Geno is sent to retrieve the Star Pieces and restore the power of wishes to the world.
But before Geno could engage Smithy, he had to first find a suitable body to take residence in. On one night, after a long day of searching, he came across an inn and promptly entered it. Upon visiting one room, he saw four dolls lying on the floor - those resembling Mario, Princess Peach, King Bowser, and a strange wooden figure wearing blue clothes. Believing the wooden doll was the most powerful, the star decides to inhabit it and grew to a proportionate size to match the height of the other citizens. He didn't immediately become comfortable with the doll, for he initially had trouble walking, but he soon got the hang of it quickly. He'd soon hear word that the town he was in was under siege by one of Smithy's members, Bowyer, and after hearing where he's hiding from the other minions, Geno proceeded to enter into the Forest Maze in order to challenge him. Upon encountering Bowyer, the doll engaged him in combat, quickly retrieving the star piece that the fiend had taken. Eventually, Mario and Mallow discover upon the two, after hearing from the doll's owner that he claimed to have seen him, and they helped Geno defeat Bowyer.
After defeating Bowyer, Geno realized he needs help recovering the remaining Star Pieces and had decided to join forces with Mario and Mallow. Geno reveals to the two that he is a warrior from Star Road and that he assumes the form of a doll to fight the Smithy Gang. Additionally, he states that wishes can never come true again until all the Star Pieces are recovered. He also reveals his real name, ♥♪!?. However, this is impossible to pronounce, so the star warrior assumes the name of the doll: Geno.
Once he and the others finally destroy Smithy and restore Star Road, Geno proceeds to return to the doll's owner, Gaz, and readies to remove himself from the doll's body. However, the boy told him that he was free to keep him, for as long as he continued being a hero for the Mushroom Kingdom. With that, Geno returned to Star Road in the doll form that he's in and continued to serve as the protector of his world against the forces of evil.
But he wouldn't be ready for the arrival of the Lord of Light himself.
Geno recognized a beam of rainbow energy fast approaching Star Road on one particular day, decades after helping Mario and his friends. He attempted to combat the beam but he would then be shortly dispatched into a little ball as a mere floating spirit. Even as a divine guardian for Star Road, he never had a chance in hell to win against Galeem.
But that would change upon being brought back by another fellow star warrior...

Geno Boost: Temporarily increases attack power by 50% for three posts. Has a recharge time of 10 posts.
Geno Borealis: Geno summons a volley of rainbow colored stars that bombard a limited range on the battlefield.

Flight: Geno can fly in the air for a lengthy amount of time before he is forced to land and rest.
Weaknesses:
Low Durability: Taking the body of a wooden doll, Geno isn't the most durable of fighters. While he can certainly take on a few hits, more powerful hits can easily decapacitate him.
Fire/Explosion Attacks: Being a doll made of wood, this makes Geno weak against fire and explosion-based attacks.

Walking in the Forest Maze
Battle in the Forest Maze
Name: Mario Mario
Game Origin: Super Mario Series
Personality: Once a relatively happy-go-lucky individual, with a generally happy and simple outlook on life, Mario's personality has hardened with age. With currently four Smash Tournaments under his overalls, along with the ever increasing consistency of his beloved Princess Peach being kidnapped by the terrible King Bowser, Mario has taken his status and capabilities much more seriously then ever before. He has grown more gritty, as well as straight forward in nature, being often the first to head straight into the field of battle with aggressive determination to secure the victory. Yet while he's perfectly content in fighting alone, he also is very happy to cooperate with other teammates, often finding himself within roles of leadership. He'll do anything to help them out and never tries to leave anyone else behind. And god forbid for any who attempt to harm the ones closest to him - such as his brother, Luigi and the love-of-his-life, Princess Peach.
Background: The poster child of the Smash Community, Mario was a character that had been popular since his arrival into the tournament ring. Well known for his heroic efforts in the Mushroom Kingdom, most notably with saving Princess Peach countless of times from the great and terrible King Bowser Koopa, he and his brother Luigi were prime choices when picking fighters for the first Smash Tournament. In fact, their titles as the "Super Mario Bros" inspired the name of the "Super Smash Bros" tournaments even prior towards the first.
Mario's involvement from the beginning of the Smash tournaments had made him see various fighters join the rosters, as well as some leaving the scene before returning in one form or another. He fought against various opponents that wielded fighting styles unlike his own and weaponry that should trump his skills as an effective fighter. However, simple as he may be, his determination to win was monumental in having him win the first tournament. For every opponent he faced, he began to grow more knowledgable about their powers and abilities, as well as utilizing any weak-spaces that they may reveal in their defenses. Yet even when basking in victory or planted alone within the bleachers, the plumber was always incredibly respectful towards the opponents he fought - even to those that he considers enemies or opponents to his vision.
Even his capabilities outside of the Smash Community has seen him go on whole entire adventures to save those that need saving. Whether saving the Princess locally, to helping a foreign kingdom, and even saving the divine sanctuary located by the stars, Mario never backs down from a good quest. Of course, even though he doesn't mind most of his adventures, there are times where he often gets tired of these sorts of things and often invites both friends and foes for local competitions, such as kart-racing, sport tournaments, and even "Party" games, all in good-fun.
Now Mario faces his biggest adventure yet within the world of light! Having been freed from the possession of Galeem's influence by his old friend Geno, the plumber now helps the ever growing resistance to free their worlds from the grasp of the divine enemy. And he's going to smash through anything that gets in their way.
Specialty: Balanced Melee Fighter
Level: 3
Experience: (10/30)
Powers:
Fireball: Mario launches a fireball at his opponent. This fire can also slightly enhance his attacks to issue fire-based punches.
Cape: Mario pulls out a cape and swings it in front of him, reflecting projectiles and spinning foes around. He can also glide for short-distances and to break his fall.
Strengths:
Impressive Strength: Despite his stocky stature, Mario's been well-known to be an incredibly strong fighter. His melee punches are strong enough to break through solid concrete walls and has been known to carry and throw characters double and even triple his size.
Surprising Agility: Mario sports an incredibly acrobatic move set when battling his opponents. He's always jumping and dodging attacks all over the place, never staying in one spot for long. He uses this to overwhelm his opponent and go in for a fury of attacks when their weak spots are exposed.
Fire Mastery: Mario's affinity for fire had been a staple since the beginning. He can create fire balls from his hands and enhance his melee strikes to issue fire-based attacks.
Weaknesses:
Below-Average Durability: While Mario can take a descent beating, his durability compared to other fighters is more on the lacking side. Considering he only wears his traditional overalls and shirt, he's somewhat more vulnerable than most.
Self-Sacrificing: When Mario jumps into battle, he will give all that he has until the very end. He usually doesn't back down from a fight and is committed to beating his opponent to a pulp. Of course, when engaged in opponents way stronger than him, this could serve as a death sentence to him. Yet even against these odds, Mario will do all he can to assure the safety of his allies, even if he has to sacrifice himself in the process. He'll gladly take hits and do work for allies in battle, potentially disrupting their strategies or taking himself out of the battle early. The only way he has lived for so long was with the interference of his allies helping him out. But what happens if his friends are too late to save him...?
Fists First, Talk Later: When possessing doubt towards someone he doesn't trust, Mario often wants to end the battle quickly by getting straight to the punch (literally). He has heard evil plans from various opponents over the years and just wants to move on - even if he sacrifices getting important information.
Spirits:
N/A
Kindred Spirits:
Luigi: Mario's younger brother. Their brotherly love has never been stronger than it has been now. Whilst their brotherly rivalry does occasionally get in the way at times, Mario vows to protect Luigi no matter the cost - even if it costs him his own life.
Princess Peach: Often the damsel-in-distress, Mario's love is always being kidnapped by Bowser or some other force of evil that wants to exploit her. Whilst Peach had saved him once before, it is often the case that Mario has to save her time and time again, although is always rewarded for his stupendous efforts. Even then, Mario's love for Peach never falters - no matter how many times he saves her.
Sonic: Once bitter rivals representing their pride as flagship mascots, both the plumber and the blue hedgehog had since become close friends. When off the Smash Community, they're known to gather up their friends and compete at the Olympic games since 2007.
Inventory:
Super Mushroom: A red and white poka-dotted mushroom that increases the fighter's size by double when consumed.
Given that you mentioned you wanted certain characters if you got the chance to get more, you might consider changing one or two of the kindred spirits, since otherwise there's no guarantee that we'll run into those other characters at all.
Honestly, I thought Kindred Spirits mean't like they had to be closely related to him in a sense. But alas two have been changed to fit more of my character niches.
