Sticking to the previous RP story, the Soviet Empire mostly bided its time and reoccupied the former Soviet countries during WW3. Finland is not one of those (although it was part of the historical Russian Empire) so conflict would have been unlikely before but is probably likely now once the RP gets going.

Your threats hold no power over me, you would wage war in a war-torn world with no proper casus belli? Branding yourself as warmongers before the eyes of the world and losing political credibility? Why would a country run by an anti-Islamic government declare war on Scandinavia, a predominantly christian nation anyway. I can safely say that before 2050, any such proposals of becoming a protectorate will have been refused.
