Current Remember my joke theory about how the world ended in 2012 and each subsequent year has just been a layer by layer descent into hell? It feels less and less like a joke each year.

Bro it's so weird thinking I was 15 when I joined here. I'm turning 21 in March. Time is a scam.

Okay, let's all agree @Kronshi @pyroman @21308 @Raijinslayer to hold off our posts until @Saarebas is back, since they'll probably want to post for Amber.

Until then, I'll have Eve's post saved for later.
@Akayaofthemoon Exception of Eve, but she's still extremely young nonetheless.
Welp, might post as Eve after all...C'mon brain, you can do this, this is what you were made for*...!

*That is, other than being in charge of all of my bodily fuctions, as well as being responsible for cognitive processing and interpreting electronic signals from the nervous system, amongst other things.
@Kronshi I can't wait to write Evenkite's reply to this. It's...Going to be special. And leave everyone confused. Including Evenkite herself.
Welp, I suppose I'll work on a Gilles post in the mornign, since it's getting a bit late and my brain power is going Spinel on me. That is to say, "Hmmm. Nope, I'm out." I might hang around the IC a bit more, though.
@pyroman Another homeworld gem would be great, but, not to sound mean, I think it's only fair to give another a chance to fill the void first, someone who doesn't have a gem already. I remember someone asking to let them know if a position ever opened up? It was a while ago.
@21308 Let's give it time, because something might be up; they last posted two days ago, and the last time they posted was four. They might still be having phone troubles and has been unable to reply, or felt overwhelmed by the amount of posts and simply posted elsewhere because it'd be easier to catch up there. If they had left, though, it's probably because the group was becoming too big, since they said they weren't too comfortable in them. And though I'll really miss them and Howlite, I'd rather they not compromise their comfort over this. It could also be what Kronshi said, but again, let's give it time. If not, well, I suppose there's a free space for another gem...But we'll have to think of what to do with Howlite.

On a completely unrelated note, I love how freely Eve can go from one mindset to another. She just went from angry grump to dork mode within seconds, and went from dork to 'just you dare try something funny with me, you little shits' mode in about two minutes. :P

There were a great number of things that Evenkite didn't like. Spinel was one of them. So when she simply left the group without any given reason, it would be strange to note that Evenkite turned around to watch her go, fidgeting for a few moments as if trying to escape Amber's grasp to follow suit. However, she seemed to think better of it and stopped, an odd smile on her face. Was it joy from being free of Spinel's company? No.

It was a smile of pride, of all things.

Registering what was being said as she watched Spinel go, Evenkite's smile twitched before becoming a frown. No, she didn't particularily trust these guys at first, not with one of them being surprisingly unhurt while the other was fine and not doing anything to help the other, which ruled out the likelihood of them being victims of the Red Eye. Perhaps Spinel's sudden departure was making her more paranoid, or maybe her judgement helped feed her own, but either way, that didn't help either. No, there was definitely something suspicious about it as Spinel had sensed, but of course, leave it to Amber to approach them of all people. She let out a small 'tch' and shook her head. Perhaps she'd have made a better leader. Or, though she wouldn't admit this to herself, nevermind the others, Spinel. At least she seemed to be able to think things through, though if ever given the chance Evenkite would not at all support the idea of her being leader.

The strange way the hurt one talk also rubbed her the wrong way, and the other's excuse? Food? Seriously? Evenkite was no expert, but somehow that seemed implausible. No, she didn't like this one bit. Thank the skies Sodalite refused to tell them their names; it was good to know she had some sort of common sense despite her apparent lack earlier when it came to handling weapons. She just hoped Amber wouldn't blow it.

No, he won't do that. This, of course, was nonsense, because Evenkite had no way of knowing whether or not Amber would reveal their identities, but despite logic telling her that having such faith in Amber was ridiculous, she still held it nonetheless. Despite this, she still dug her nails slightly into Amber's hands. It wasn't enough to actually hurt him -doing so would only give the wrong message, not to mention that it'd be more obvious to the two humans before her- but just enough to get his attention without making any noise, and then clambered up onto his shoulders, standing up to her full height, so that she could look them down.

"Good day, Reggie, sir." It was very clear in her voice that she did not mean this at all.
"However, I must apologize on our behalf and excuse the question of my blue friend here. It is of no matter to us who he is, just as who we are is no matter to the two of you. Thus we shan't reveal our names, nor do we expect you to do the same. As previously stated, we were asked to help others caught up in the incident, and as you two seem to be faring quite well -with the exception of this beef jerky incident- I'm afraid that there's nothing for us to do here, for there are others who are in more need." Her voice was awfully cold and sharp, perhaps even harsh, and she spoke of the beef jerky with great exagerration in her voice, making it quite clear that she was calling bullshit on the statement. None of this, however, compared to the look in her eyes. Though she didn't outright say it, she was letting them know very well that she did not like them, she did not trust them, and that she would have no more business with them. The three words that followed these were possibly the harshest of them all, each being more intense than the last.

"We're leaving. Now."
@21308 Alrighty, going to post as Eve first, though. Might make a double post with the second being Gilles since Akaya said it's fine as long as it doesn't happen too often, but ye.
