Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

There’s no general code, as obviously different seas and cultures operate differently. But around the Transantic there’s a few honor codes pirates offer.

1. Always offer parlay. Give your prey one chance to surrender with their life and dignity. Refusing to do so makes you no better than a raider, plus it’s bad for business. The exception are against other raiders aka Privateers aka pirates who work for the government.

2. If a man dies wearing a golden earring, it’s just good manners to give him a proper burial at sea (after you take it of course). These earrings are known as “Deadman’s Gold” and meant to be used by said deadmen to ensure an honorable send off if they die at sea.

3. Basically, no snitching or selling out. Pirates fighting among each other isn’t unusual, but at pirate havens they’re expected to conduct themselves politely if they want to do business there, with merchants and tradesmen who’ll overlook their reputation. But to sell out one another or the havens for your own gain is a quick way to get labeled as a Raider, which basically means even regular pirates don’t think kindly of you.

Naturally theses are just unspoken, generally accepted codes of conduct. Not every pirate follows them and breaking them doesn’t always end badly, or at least not immediately. But beyond that? Pretty much a free for all.

If you were wondering if there’s some pirate code about not raiding a ship already under attack, you can safely know that there’s no real rule against it, and such situations are known as “Feeding Frenzies”, where various other pirate gangs or third parties come in to take what they can. It’s a normal part of the job and minimizing the chances of that happening is a sign of a skilled pirate.

Be it fortune or fate, you would receive an answer. “Captain! Smoke on the horizon! Off the starboard bow!” Your lookout called from his crow’s nest. Sure enough looking off the right side of the ship you could see a thin wisp of black smoke. There wasn’t any landmass for at least another hundred miles. This had to be another ship, presumably one that was on fire. Your vessel could easily arrive there in ten minutes at the most, and you’ll have visual on it in five f you head that way. The helmsman looked towards you awaiting your command. “How bout it captain? Men are ready to earn their keep today!”
In a flurry, Shortfang dispatched two trogs, stabbing on in the heart while slicing the throat to the other. He dashed forward towards you as you pointed out the lever, putting his scimitar away as Syfr picked up his crossbow, loaded it with a bolt he carried, and dropped it into Shortfang's awaiting hand. "We almost there! Kill em all!" The troglodyte with the crossbow tossed his weapon aside as he charged towards you, claws forward as he tore into you. Or so he thought; thanks to your patient defense you were easily able to avoid his flurry of attacks, misdirecting him as he stumbled about hitting nothing but air. It was during one of those stumbles that Pylia threw a ball of fire right into his face, scorching him painfully. Buddy threw the harpoon at him as well, however the spear missed and buried itself deep into the wall. That's when the other troglodytes finally arrived, one who was just barely able to run up towards you while the other three were fast approaching. "Stay calm Sylvia! We're here with you!" With these words of encouragement from Pylia, you could feel your body heal some wounds from before.

Here we go.
The year is 7512, in the Transanic Sea. These waters share borders with the mighty nation of Doros, the Xiadan empire, and the Trasis Republic. Though the three nations are not at war, tension is still in the air between them due to various reasons regarding trade, territory, and of course Piracy.

A pirate's life is not a new or unusual one in the lands of Keratia. In a world where a vast majority known is covered in a single massive ocean, travel by sea is the primary means of travel between nations. And for that reason nearly ever nation has a navy and fights for control of the ocean not only from rival nations, but from those within the depths as well. The unknown below, deep beyond where the sun shines, lives ancient civilizations who do not take kindly to the surface dwellers encroaching on their homes, and have attacked any ships that come near them. Trouble is, these same civilizations are not known for their diplomatic abilities. More often than not perfectly harmless vessels are destroyed because they simply stumbled somewhere they did not know they should be.

And thus, while ocean domination is important, it is difficult for those without the capital and will to battle against all enemies. A pirate's life is not an easy one. But for those with the courage and wits it is one that can easily lead you into a life of legends.

You are Talogan Malgrogar. A hobgoblin pirate, an oddity among most sea raiders not only due to your race but also due to your choice of methods. A holy warrior on the ocean almost seems like a joke, however you have already sunken many who dare say as much to your face, and those who know you know that regardless of your piety, you are not the type of holy warrior who will grant mercies or pity to your enemies. Though you captain your own ship, it's crew and armament could use considerable work. Up until now you had been working under a different crew and captain, slowly working your way up to obtaining your own ship, which you've finally done. But there are complications.

It was a simple conundrum of too many predators and not enough prey. You, as well as many others, have committed to piracy, making a handy profit from robbing merchant ships or coastal towns. With the various nations' navies tied up dealing with sea monsters or preparing for war pirates have been scrambling to rob and pillage as much as they can. But now, what few merchant ships that do come around are heavily protected, and what few coastal towns that still remain are too poor to be worth robbing beyond taking villagers as slaves. Many pirate captains have chosen to either sail to other waters to plunder, or even sell their swords to various lords and guilds to raid and plunder other pirates.

As for you, your options were limited. Due to your reputation most common folk, even guards, don't dare encourage your wrath less they taste your blade. But that same vicious reputation has also made you an enemy to most governments capable of actually putting up a fight, and with a bounty of 2000 GP on your head, it's not unusual for some hopeful manhunters or even adventurers to try and come collect. But perhaps you could find a town that doesn't know you. A place where you could start fresh and hopefully clear your bounty. Or perhaps you can just continue patrolling your sea, taking on any rivals or preying on any fools who don't have the means to protect themselves from you.

The choice is yours.

Your tonfa struck the sternum of the trog hard, causing him to curl up from the pain as you sucker punched the trog neck to him. His neck twisted violently as he spun towards the ground, dead as can be. Meanwhile as Shortfang attacked the other troglodyte left behind, the one you struck lashed out at you, biting and tearing into your arms. But before he could go and bite your neck, Buddy grabbed him off of you and buried his blade into the throat of the troglodyte. However it was at that very same moment that Pylia screamed as another trog managed to reach her, biting into her arm in surprise. You felt the divine magic flow out from your body and vanish as Pylia lost concentration on her spell, though she managed to at least avoid further attacks from the trog and smashed it's face with her warclub. "Bastard! And there's more coming too!"

Sure enough you could hear more trogs coming towards the group. Additionally, an arrow flew right pass you from another trog who seemed to have a bit of difficulty aiming the weapon, but was playing it safe by shooting at the group from a distance. And well beyond him, pass the trogs who were coming at you, in the dark end of the hallway, you could make our some sort of lever system. It was hard to see in this dim light but it was over there past the five trogs that stand between you and the lever.

He dashed right on in just as one of the trogs got stabbed in the ribs by Buddy. Before he could even set down the arrows, your tonfa collides with the trog's skull, breaking it open as he falls to the ground dead. Without losing any momentum you quickly traverse the tight corridors, your Satyr's stance allowing you to easily bound over the barrels and other obstacles as you kick through a bundle of balista bolts and into the chest of another trog. He stumbled backwards in pain just in time for Shortfang to shoot out his knee with a crossbow bolt, and then jamming a sword right into his neck. The blade went into one side and out of the other, causing the beast to go limp and fall. The last surviving trog had a mixed look of fear and fury, and despite how much damage your team committed, it seemed like he was going to fight to the bitter end.

Behind you, you could hear the sounds of more trogs coming at you having heard and seen the commotion. Three come charging right out towards the group but an unknown forth fired an arrow right at Pylia. However even though she didn't know where the bolt was coming from, it merely struck her warclub, which was unaffected due to the magic currently surging through it. "More to our right! Let's take them out!" Pylia shouts as she summons another orb of fire to hurl at a trog, burning his shoulder as Buddy engages it. His first attack missed, getting buried deep into the stonework. But Buddy wrenches his axe out and lunges with the pointy end just in time to cut the trog across the face with the spike, doing some serious damage despite his initial mishap. So far the attack was going well, however you cannot afford to slow down even a bit. The rest of the army outside was relying on your team to open the gates and cause chaos and destruction among the defenders. A quick glance around you would easily tell you that you don't see anything resembling a wrench or level to open the gates. You may need to explore other parts of this wall to find it, but you have a lot on your plate right now as is.

The next closest is at C4. I'll put your character at D3 to hit them. Is that okay?
