Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Fair nuff I suppose. Mamoru will naturally maintain her current mission despite recent revelations, but shell also command her clones to put out a BOLO on Morgan and anything potentially related to her and the guild. And if truly need be, I might have Mamoru simply return to the Chateau precisely due to recent events.
@The Irish Tree

I might’ve not noticed, but is there anything for Real Mamoru to react to on her end? Since her clone died she totally would’ve known what happened at the Chateau (up until her clone’s death of course), which drastically will alter what Mamoru will be doing atm.
Object AC and such? I'll admit I use it for my D&D stuff too, though largely as a reference. It's usually helpful though if you wanna figure out how hard exactly it might be to say, break down a door or something. Used to be that objects had HP equal 5 x 1 square inch in volume. This resulted in things like a common wooden door having HP in the mid one-hundreds, or a chain being broken by a a few hearty whacks with a stick.

The real issue with Object rules is if/when things are equipment degrgation tries to get played, in which case shit gets crazy real fast. Realistic sure, I bet a sword will be pretty dull if I spent a whole weak cutting down a horde of goblins with it without maintenance, but it's a different kind of hassle were three fights can render a weapon into a dull club and it takes a whole hour to sharpen it to normal efficiency. But that's an extension of a rule that doesn't even exist, so take it with a grain of salt.

In short, I don't particularly mind object AC/HP as an idea. So long as Expolar doesn't try to pull a fast one like "Oh since you took some fire damage, your armor/backpack/pretty much anything you were wearing also takes damage, whoops your entire gear has been melted/destroyed in the process of you taking damage". If you're trying to sunder weapon, armor, or other items, those attacks should be made specifically against those items, and otherwise don't affect your character's own health.
Heading towards the sewers and the Sewer Dragons was mercifully simple. And for you, it could be either a good or a bad thing that the stench of the sewer didn't bother you as much as it did in the beginning, though Pylia still put on her mask as she entered. Once at Underhaven, things seem to be under control, though you also would've noticed one of the Giant Crocodiles seemingly eating an nondescript pile of flesh and gore. Perhaps best not to examine it too closely. Once in Underhaven, you were greeted by the merchant, Bonesaw, who sold you those tonfas, as it looks like he and a few other kobolds were carrying some raw materials back to his shop. "Aye! Hiya, what you doing here?"
With their items secured, Orchid went to don her armor. They had even deprived her of her usual protective plating and padding, so donning back on was a hassle to do on her own. Fortunately aside from her armor, everything else was still in place, so it was just a matter of finding what was hers and getting it back. But as she was in the midst of gearing up, Angus seemed to have found a note. In summary, their captors knew they were here and were ready for them. They would be allowed to walk free if they simply left something, likely the tiefling girl, but Orchid didn't need to deliberate to know that was not an option. Frankly speaking, Orchid didn't intend to negotiate with whoever captured them. They would die, as was her intention. Angus, natrually, was furious and ready to storm off ahead of them. Orchid knew that he wasn't going to listen to reason nor had the patience to cooperate with them. And unfortunately, donning armor took a few more minutes. If he couldn't want five more minutes, he would simply have to go on without Orchid as she continued to don her chainmail.

"Evidentially, we'll be forgoing any strategy or tactics. All I can suggest is that you all at least wait until I'm properly armored up, and we'll work our way out of here. No doubt our captors will intend to use ambush, tricks, and hostages to slow our approach." Orchid looked to Najila and Azzen. "With any luck, perhaps we'll be able to tear through the enemy without too much difficulty. If not, I'd recommend the two of you flee with the girl, and leave the rest of us here. I don't know what your relationship with your employers are but I'd imagine they'd be the first to die if our captor aims to use them as leverage. I've already written off my own as lost."

Inconclusive. Plenty of tried, but the details about their success or failures are left vague. It's not to say that it's impossible, as there is certainly those who have tried. But allying with a Siren comes with the same risks as there always is about allying with the fey, and even you'd know that most tales of greedy mortals working with equally greedy fey never end well. It's only fairy tales where pure and kind people do a favor for the fey and they get showered with niceties, but again those are fairy tales. Heck even the stories about pirates joining up with fey tend to also be part of those same fairy tales.

In conclusion: Most of the stories you've heard makes it seem like a bad idea, but mostly because those are children stories. Actual tales of pirate and fey interactions almost never go into an alliance, and often are sources of conflicts, albeit occasionally profitable ones.
That's shorter than I'd like, but I figured I'd write something.
Orchid followed after Angus, carefully watching for any additional dangers, traps, or surprises. She saw a room that might have their possessions, but no doubt it may also contain traps or an ambush. Angus took point so Orchid would allow him to do so, simply remaining vigilant for the possible and likely enviable next ambush. "I'll stay here at this split, in case something comes through that door. If there's any fighting in that store room, I'll come rushing in."

Shortfang groaned a little as he rubbed his still fresh stab wounds. "Ugh... Shortfang wanna rest... But Shortfang worried about family. Wanna go into Underhaven and check on momma and them." Pylia looked wistfully up towards the castle ward, in the direction of the Temple of the Maker. "There's still some loose ends here I'd like to tie up. Mostly just checking on others. Though it's not critical, but I do plan to do them at some point. And I did promise to allow you all to tag along if you want to." Buddy wrote another note simply saying "Check on Ferric", without any other real explanation. May have something to do with helping him get in good graces with the merchant's guild. In the distance you could vaguely hear someone shout "what" in a rather angry tone.
Fortunately, Derrick seemed to have used his earnings to get more medical supplies, so he was able to treat Oliver's wounds and any possible infection without relying on your magical resources. It was just a scratch after all, and Oliver certainly has felt worse, so he should be able to recover in short order. Once that was dealt with Tayang taped his chin. "The path down is too treacherous for all of us. Just us three were soon killed by the fall than the drowned. Speaking of, while most of them looked human, there were at least three dead orcs as part of the drowned. They look pretty fresh too, considering I could plainly see their features. Don't know how long they were dead but I'd estimate it was at least recently since they aren't as bloated and still have most of their skin. There was also one dwarf who must've died recently, an unfortunate lass. Of the drowned she was the only one with a proper looking weapon, a black battleaxe. She was at the ship when the drowned woke up, and I only noticed her because of that axe."

By now most of your crew was getting to the deck, stretching, grabbing breakfast, and generally ready for work. Nyx appears to have obtained a new spell by the parrot on her shoulder. Hurrik had a new set of armor and Kulee came up with what appears to be a small anchor on his back. Though it's more of a stylized maul than a literal anchor. Still looks hefty. Hurrik walks up to you, in full regalia. "Morning captain. I spoke with Nyx just a short while ago, I'm told we might be needing to scout soon? I'll gladly volunteer for such a job." He says, having just missed Tayang's report.
