Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Shit. A lot can happen in two minutes and eight minutes spent donning armor isn't going to give me my AC bonus unless you want to mess with Piecemail armor rules.
Alive, kinda waiting on the rest of our crew or for the GM to tell me if I can get my armor on.
Diamond split off from Delmina and Bridget, just as the horde would arrive. More Thralls, however some more advanced soldiers were here as well. The two revenants would be able to tell these are a bit smarter because once they saw the two, they stopped and raised their shields as the thralls began to swarm. Their terrain was a double-edge sword for both sides: For Bridget and Delmina all of the Lost were coming from one direction, but for the Lost the narrow spaces means that if they can overrun the two Revenants, they can crush them through sheer numbers. It was a matter of who's stamina would last longer.

As Ambrosio hurled Yazzu to assist Tuck, the young boy was surprised by rolled with it, unleashing a hail of bullets to take down a few thralls while Tuck continued his assault against the ground forces. But that didn't mean Ambrosio was free of any threats; more Lost appeared from an entrance way that neither Tuck nor Yazzy could shoot from their position. But from a single door was a greater surprise: another revenant. The two may even recognize each other: It was Diamond. But before any introductions could really be made, the Lost were soon to be upon them, a mix of thralls and soldiers who forgo any tactical sense and planned to crush the two through sheer weight of numbers. They had to act fast now or else be swept up in the wave of monsters.
Mainly the ones who actually went on the scouting mission aka Tayang, Hector, and Oliver. Though for the most part only Oliver shows and visible signs of actually being bothered by it, and more in a hindsight/regret sort of way like "Oh dammit that's right, we do have a scout, I didn't need to risk my butt." Cuz you know, he got cut.
Sure, I’ll cut it to them leaving the town.
Most of the crew seems to accept your reasoning, with Hurrik especially eager to be off the ship so he can go exploring. Hector finished eating Derrick's fish pie as Johnathan went back below deck to grab his gear. "Aye aye captain. I'll make sure the lads are in fighting shape soon enough." Tayang says as he pockets the money. "Ya heard the captain! You salty dogs are getting a promotion, and that means yer gunna have to carry your weight! Get off your duffs, we got work to do." Before long Tayang, Kulee, Derrick, and Oliver leave the ship to go buy those boats and upgrade their skills and gear. Once Johnathan came back up, your group was effectively ready to go. Hector adjusted his armor as he turned to you. "Aight, suppose I ought to lead the team back to the cliff, yeah Captain? It'll be a bit of a walk, about an hour south. Frankly I'm surprised Tayang woke us up first, considering all the noise he made into the twilight, but that's Tayang for ya..."

Once all preparations were made, the group would head south. Sure enough it was a bit of a trek: there was a road that lead south but than turned off towards the east, and the path Hector knew required them to go off the road and into a forest. “What takes the longest to reach that cliff is going through the woods. Neither me nor the others found a good path through that was easy or quick, so enjoy walking in the dirt road while you can.” Hector said as they walked out from the South Gate.
"Anything strange in storage? Not really. Brought sum lumber, pretty sure da captain plans ta sell in Doros, extra canvas an ropes, the usual... Though..." Sticky rubbed his chin as he thought more about it. "Well... Nuthin really strange persay, but we're traveling awfully light. Usually when we pick up stuff from the north, we bring back stuff like lumber, silks, spices, dat sorta thing. But all we got is lumber. Or at least, dat's all da captain had me and some of da lads haul in. Might be sumthin else but if so, no one told us bout it." Sticky crossed his arms and looked at your curious. "Ya wanna go look? I can pick da lock pretty easy."
"Oh yeah. Ugly business." Bonesaw said sadly as his helpers moved the materials back to the shop. "Kobolds not expect to see them so soon... Not sure what they wanted. Good thing Gray Guard was out, make short work of traitor scales." Bonesaw sighed quietly as Shortfang chatted with him in their native tongue for a bit. As usual, Pylia translated, though they were speaking oddly fast. "Um... Okay wow, Shortfang is talking fast. Ah... Basically, Shortfang wants to know who was hurt. Doesn't seem like any of the Sewer Dragons here got too injured, the other kobolds seemed to have been after Dimos the whole time. The traitors went down fighting." Eventually even Bonesaw tried to calm Shortfang down himself, going back to speaking common. "Shortfang, everything okay. No one hurt. We just need to focus on fixing home, okay?" Pylia squatted next to Shortfang and put a hand on his shoulder. "He's right you know? It's going to take time for the Sewer Dragons to rebuild. Don't go rushing to find more fights when they still need to heal." Pylia turned to you, motioning you to say something to encourage Shortfang, who seemed to be fretting.
"Ah. You have my sympathies." Though in truth, Yoh couldn't really understand the lost of love. He's never felt the inclination to be romantic with anyone, and his career when he first awakened had made him familiar with the idea of people he knows dying often. But he had enough tact not to speak out about how Jalester needs to move on with his life, as death was a natural part of it, since the last time he tried that a very angry widow refused to cooperate with his team and they were forced to hunt down a mark without vital intel. Fortunately it seems like Jalester could get some work for Yoh, but before he could elaborate a troll appeared from the Yawning Portal. An alarm warned everyone beforehand of it's arrival as the green giant lumbered out from the abyss, accompanied by literal bloodsuckers.

"Jalester, find safety." Yoh stood up and brandished his spear. He wasn't sure of his odds against the troll, so he would do what he can to pick off the smaller flying creatures instead. Once they were dealt with no doubt the tavern's muscle could take out the troll. "It is time to hunt."

I mean yeah obviously some logic ought to go into it, getting fried by dragon fire is probably going to make your robes more than a bit dirty, but just like you say with the cleave rule it should only be when the damage is enough to go over should the damage than be transferred to say, your equipment. Optionally of course. If I had 65 HP and got hit by a fireball that did 50, I'm in really rough shape but all of my gear ought to still be perfectly usable even if I'm wearing silk robes with a net. But if I take another fireball for another 50 damage when I only have 15 HP left, then yeah it'll only make sense that not only am I fried, my gear is also in the process of burning too. But at that point I have a few other problems than some ruined equipment.
