Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

I pronounce it Keh-ra-she-ah. Incidentally I was once thinking of splitting Common into different regional variants such as North, Southern, and Eastern, but since those were more accent based than actually phonetically different I figured it’d be too much of a hassle. Though back when it was an idea, how one pronounced Keratia was the most straightforward way of figuring out what regional dialect of common you learned.
Your improvised use of your gun was mostly effective, good enough to knock one of the geckos out from the air however it didn't kill the beast. It did make him stunned if only for a moment. The second gecko however was able to get a scratch on you, biting into your leg. While you can certainly feel it, your pants and duster were doing a decent enough job to prevent the gecko's teeth from finding any skin. If it were a bigger one, you'd likely be losing some flesh and maybe even bone. Still you'd ought to act fast. The nasty critter was gnawing, tearing through your duster's leather.
The shop keeper eyed you closely, but let out a small breath. "If I had to guess, he's probably with some of his friends by the castle gardens. I don't know what your exact relationship with him is, but don't cause him any trouble." The man seemed gruff, but also protective of John. Pylia was quiet and nodded her head. "Of course sir. I wouldn't want to do anything to harm him. Thank you very much." Soon some other people arrived to the shop and began to speak to the old man about a delivery, so Pylia left the shop so he could return to his business. Outside she looked at you and smiled a little. "Thank you. I know I know, I said I needed to just go but... It's funny isn't it? I'm willing to do things like leave my home and follow you to take you back to your home, even fighting bandits, monsters, and ghosts, but I can't even deal with normal people from my past. Maybe I'm just better at fighting than I am with people..."
He's not lying, but he doesn't seem to be saying much more. Not really hiding per say, more like "If you're not going to ask, I'm not going to say". Pylia seems pretty quick to give up too.
Sure go for it.
"No it's... I'm just not sure if he's really still here. I don't... I don't know if he's still here. I can't imagine he'll be anywhere else but..." Pylia took a deep breath, letting out an equally deep sigh. "I can't hesitate again. All my problems start because I hesitate, get scared, and run away. Let's go." Pylia walks into the shop, Buddy following up behind. Inside of the shop were various finely crafted stone, marble, and clay things. Pots, plates, statues, all sorts of things, delicately displayed on tables and stands. The room itself was illuminated with glass lanterns that hung from the ceiling, providing much more light that other buildings you've been in so far. A old balding man behind turns to the group and welcomes you all. "Hello, welcome to my store. Is there something you're looking for?"

Pylia approaches the man and tries her best to remain calm. "I... I'm looking for Johnathan. My name is Pylia, I'm an old friend of his." The old man raises his eyebrow, looking at her than the rest of the others. Then he looks back at Pylia. "He's not here right now. He doesn't work today, so I'm sure he's somewhere else in the city." Pylia seemed shocked to hear this, but then her shock turned to sadness. "I... I see. Thank you then." Pylia quickly turned around and walked back towards the others without any more fuss.
I would say roll Arcana, since Talogan won't know, but if you ask Nyx she'll mention that water wouldn't affect her Witch Bolt in any meaningful way. It wouldn't electrocute anyone beyond her original target, not to mention she'd have to be within 30 ft to hit them anyways. She would explain though that Lightning Spells cut through water more easily than fire or cold spells; fire spells not only have difficulty getting through water (made at dis) but they also lose out on damage (Being fully submerged in water gives you resistance to fire). On the other hand various forms of cold damage such as her ray of frost would have a bit of difficulty reaching the target (attack at dis) due to how how the water would constantly eat away at the energy she puts into a beam, but the damage will remain the same. Lightning spells have neither issues as long as Nyx can see the target, and would just have to roll her attacks and damage as normal for the spell.
White skin, haunting songs, and commanding undead. While I don't know how much of a scholar Talogan may be, putting together some information from Nyx and tales you would've heard from various sailors and pirates trying to pass the time, you could conclude that the creature controlling these undead is some sort of spirit, a ghost, and most likely: A Banshee. Women who have died horrifically, their rage and hatred turning them into an undead creature far more threatening than a mere zombie or skeleton. And compared to the relative mindlessness of the drowned, a Banshee is a fully sentient undead, albeit one who feels perpetual torment and hatred for the living.
In-character, your characters can gauge the level of damage creatures have taken and may be able to withstand based off things like how bloodied they are, are they sluggish or not, and other common sense thing. Granted, zombies of course are difficult to gauge because rotting corpses, but at the same time you'd know that even the most fucked up zombie tend not to take violent and sudden dismemberment well.

Out-of-Character, you'll only get HP's if you roll initiative. I mostly keep HP displayed for my own sake.
Nox returned to her senses upon your tap, nodding at your command. "Aye captain." She summoned Nox back to her since he was beyond her normal telepathic link, giving him the new orders and sending him back to the ship, this time going inside. "Defiantly some sort of captain's quarters. Large bed, a writing desk, closet, chest, tables, even a bronze bathtub. All of it in ruins of course, not to mention this room seems to be partially flooded. There's a lot of water pooling by the door keeping it shut, looks hard even if we were there ourselves, let alone for Nox. Let's see... Lock on the door too. Surprised that it is locked though. No drowned in here but- Shit!" Immediately Nyx stood up and snapped her fingers, recalling Nox back to the familiar realm. At that same moment, the crew could hear a haunting song all the way from the cliff side coming from the ship.

Nyx gritted her teeth as she looked at you. "I'm sorry captain. As Nox was about to look through the closet when a hand reached out to him. He was able to avoid it but... I got hasty and called him back before I could actually get a good look at it. Some sort of white hand though. It looked like it was coming straight out from the closet though." As Nyx spoke, Hurrik also tried to get your attention. He pointed down towards the bit of water between the beach and the ship, where it was rocky but calm. From those shallows, drowned stood up, almost completely hidden by the murky waters. They began to walk around the beach and into the ship itself. There was at least six of them that rose up from the shallows.
